This place is a gem. The atmosphere is modern and clean. Their coffees and food are really good. Prices are so reasonable. Rick helped us and he was very welcoming.Veggie burrito with avocado was so tasty and filling. The avocado toast with scrambled eggs was delicious as well. They recently had live music on their patio so give them a try, you'll enjoy it.

The Hollo Cafe is such a wonderful addition to Redwood Shores. They are where the old Specialities used to be in the Redwood Business Park. Ashley and Rick are wonderful hosts and the ambiance is spacious and modern. Plenty of room to sit back comfortably, have a meal or coffee with pastries and maybe get a little work done on the laptop. There's a open patio as well. Now that Spring weather is here, I can picture folks spending hours there working remotely in a beautiful environment. Within Redwood Shores, it's a convenient walk or just a few minutes drive. This morning we ordered a London fog milk tea and a cappuccino coffee with 3 pastries, fresh out of the oven, to take home. Absolutely delicious! As Redwood Shores residents, we are so thankful to have The Hollo Cafe in the neighborhood. Highly recommend you give them a visit.

Considering that there are very few walkable food options near this business park, I appreciate that they opened a cafe in the business park. Inside is very clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff welcomes me every time I walk in. The food selection is mainly sandwiches and salads but it's all fresh. I've tried a couple things here. Most recently, I had the black forest (ham) panini. Overall, it's a good sandwich. I liked the the bite of the dijon coupled with the ham and swiss. I would have liked to see more ham inside the sandwich though.

I ordered a macaroni and cheese for myself. The portion was quite sizable. But, it had absolutely zero salt. Not sure how the chef made that kind of mistake. It felt like eating pasta mixed with thick milk and was not worth the 13$ I paid for it.Will not be coming back again.

Awesome spot in Redwood Shores!! It's hidden but so worth going to especially if you're on bikes or need a snack/coffee/beer break . Super friendly service and a great healthy menu. Can't wait for the happy hour to return!!

While spending a work day around this biotech hub, our colleagues introduced us to this nearby cafe. It is a nice find to have in this area. We came here both times we were on site, and we tried a variety of things. The first day, I got the Cold Noodle Bowl (added grilled chicken) and the second day, I ordered appetizers (Buffalo Cauliflower and Crispy Brussel Sprouts). The noodle bowl was light but otherwise kinda flavorless. The only things that brought out the flavor were the red bell pepper slices and the dressing. On the other hand, the appetizers were sooooo good. I really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, and they give sooo much for an appetizer! They also have a variety of coffee and smoothies, and they switch up their free flavored water on a daily basis. There's lots of nice seating indoors and outdoors, making it perfect for doing some work on site. Looking forward to trying their sandwiches and other entrees when I'm next back in this area.

The fries was a bit on the salty side, but the fried chicken sandwich was great, meat was tender and juicy. I will definitely come back for more.

While walking around Redwood Shores, I went by the old now closed Specialties Café and saw the new replacement café. It's called The Hollō Café, located at 1100 Island Drive, suite 150. It was nearing lunch time so I went in, and immediately notice how clean and spacious it is. I talked with the person behind the counter and ordered a Tuna Melt, with an order of fries to go. Wonderful sandwich and great fries. Going to go in for breakfast and try their Breakfast Sandwich, a pastry and coffee. Well worth checking out the place, seating inside or outside in the courtyard. Hours are 8:30AM to 2:00PM, with lunch starting at 11:00AM.

An amazing new cafe just opened here in Redwood Shores. We found it located inside the Redwood LIFE science and business park. The Hollo Cafe brings a new level of sophistication to the breakfast and lunch options in the neighborhood. There is a diverse selection of healthy foods ranging from fresh salads to warm dishes. AND, in addition to the standard drinks, sodas, juices, they have fresh brewed gourmet coffee. One more note: for the sweet tooth's of the bunch - they have some fantastic deserts - perfect for that mid-afternoon pick-up. On our second visit we enjoyed the outside patio, summer sun and WiFi. We really got the feeling of a family run business. If you're in Redwood Shores and are looking for a "new favorite" spot, give The Hollo a try.
