The food here is delicious. I've been coming for years and you truly feel you're in someone's kitchen having a meal. Very cozy ambiance. Nothing fancy. Literally a Mexican kitchen. The food is the best. Authentic, large portions and very reasonable. I love this place. I've never been disappointed here. They best chilaquiles I've ever had (and I get them everywhere) my most favorite is the tacos Gobernadores. So so good. My mouth waters as I write this. Try this place. You won't be disappointed. Oh and try the flan if they have it. The best!!

Felt like I was eating food straight from my grandma's kitchen. The ladies here are so so so sweet and hardworking. They will cook exactly what you want, even if you need to customize orders, they will do what they can to accommodate changes. Definitely go here if you are craving homemade Mexican food. Their green enchiladas and chilaquiles rojos are amazing!! Definitely be prepared to possibly pay cash in case their card reader doesn't work, which has happened to me once. These ladies definitely deserve the business!!

This is a mom n pop hole in the wall gem located in a somewhat sketchy corner. This was my first time here and it will definitely not be my last. DO NOT LET THE AREA SCARE YOU AWAY!! Restaurant itself is small but the food is amazing. If you want to experience an authentic home cooked Mexican meal, come here. The lady preparing my food reminded me of my mom who always wore her typical Mexican apron (mandil) throughout the day wether she cooked or not haha. The cook makes the food to order, you see it and you can taste it. I had the fried tilapia with garlic and huarrache and oh man was I satisfied. 5 stars, I wish this place stays around forever.

I work across the street from here, went in one time while their open sign was on. Stood in the front for about 5 minutes with workers seeing me then finally someone came up to me and said they're closed. I was on break it was around 4pm. So second time I ordered on Yelp, it went thru. I walked in to pick it up, they said someone already did. I was like what? It's for pick up, I'm Ericka. They just said "yea someone picked it up already" how is that possible? No trying to figure who might have gotten my order, just no someone picked it up. I got a full refund from Yelp since I NEVER got anything. Avoid this place at all cost

This restaurant is straggling to be open no customers empty food is not good the quality is poor and extremely expensive they charge you 7.00dl for a reg bottle soda they straggling a lot and that's why they charge extra to the minimum customers they had a day also air conditioning is not working it is too hot never going back to this place

I cannot review this place with any accuracy and the reason is that they do not answer the phone. I have called 13 times 6 PM no answer just a fax machine pick up. I tried last night as well and paying no answer. I drove bye on the way to Brooklyn Pizza right next-door and last night and tonight I saw people inside Izzy. We are in 2022. It is inexcusable call answer your phone

This used to be my favorite place to order because they were fast and they had good shrimp tacos. Now they never answer the phone to get orders. They cancel orders because the prices aren't written correctly on the apps to deliver. It seems they don't want to work with orders that are through apps even when I spoke to someone there and accepted to order from another app to pay the real prices. Very disappointing that they don't answer the phone to fix situations like this and fix their prices on the apps.
We were just near by waiting for my car to be fixed and wondered down the street. Found this little place, great food, good service, not expected it to be this good but I was pleased with everything. Will definitely add it to my list of good places to eat. Something different.

Over priced ? The food has no taste mixing old rice with new rice ?and on top of that you get charge with a $7.50 Debit fee ? No covid 9 regulation cooking without masks or gloves ? I will never be coming back to this holein the wall again.

IZZYS CAFE IS ABSOLUTE TRASH! Just ordered what i thought was huevos rancheros. What i got? I don't even know? Veggie rancheros? The hell kind of eggs are these? Like wtf is this?! I also asked for no cheese on my beans. This is a disappointment on huevos rancheros, I'm sorry. Are these even eggs?! This is the crappiest rendition of huevos rancheros. THERE IS NO YOLK IN THESE EGGS!!!! the beans tasted like water. Also just called and the girl working was NO help. Do not order from here!!!!! I never will again. This place is the WORST mexican restaurant i have ever had. What a disgrace. Took one bite of it and threw it straight into the garbage where it should of been. Thanks for making me start my day on an empty stomach since this food was INEDIBLE!!!!

Taste like your Grandmother's cooking aka abuelitas cooking. Try it your taste buds will thank you for it. Ask for the homemade tortillas, yum. The Chile's rellenos are huge with tons of cheese. I also recommend the tacos Governador.
