This was my first time trying Jamaican food, and it was absolutely delicious. I received impeccable service with a smile. I would recommend Dat a Gwan to anyone in the Rialto area.

I've had food from him 3 separate times and it's always really good and fresh. The curry goat is my favorite. The jerk chicken strong 2nd and the veggies are always cooked to perfection. Great service and reasonably priced for this economy aside from the fact that it's the best Jamaican food in the IE.

The food here is so, so, so good! It is packed full of flavor and you get plenty for what you pay for! We got the curry goat and you could just smell the wonderful aromas from the box. The owner is also very nice, so pleasant. I will definitely be a regular, don't pass this truck up!

Never heard of this food truck prior to today, but was pleasantly pleased that it was in my area and decided to try it out. Also, glad that they offer delivery through DoorDash and other third-party apps. If I have a taste for Jamaican food, I usually go to the restaurant in Colton that most of us know of or the one in Fontana/R.C., or I will drive to L.A. to get what I believe is more superior Jamaican food to the places in the I.E. Nevertheless, I decided to try this place out for Friday's dinner. My particular order I placed thru Uber Eats as a bundle order with another restaurant I was ordering from. FYI: I would have also ordered the curry chicken, but the Uber pricing is inaccurate. It is charging $34 for a $14 plate of food with no price additions. Hopefully it can be resolved. On to the food, I received the jerk chicken plate for $14 and it came with rice and beans, a side, and if you want to substitute a different side for the rice, it gives that option also. I kept the rice and beans and for the side I ordered the steamed cabbage and an additional side of plantains for $6. At first glance, there was an awful lot of rice and beans and not much of anything else. At a price of $14 per plate, I would expect to receive a more substantial plate, instead of the measly portions that came with the rice. My expectation is that the entree portion comes in the "large" side of the container, not the smaller "side" portion areas. I received one of the teeny, tiniest chicken legs along with a thigh? that was mostly bone and very little meat. Not sure where you are buying your chickens from, but do your customers a favor and spend a few extra dollars for more meaty birds. I wouldn't mind paying an increase to $15 or $16 per plate if it guaranteed me more meat. Rice, beans, and cabbage are very cheap in the retail and wholesale markets. Think about it, $13 worth of legs and thighs could have gotten an 8 piece BUCKET of chicken from most places. But anyways, I digress. With that being said, the flavor on the chicken was delicious! It was barbecued over coals and the seasoning was on point! The person on the bbq knows what they're doing, okay! The rice and peas (beans) were also flavorful and moist. It's so nice when the rice is given just as much attention as the rest of the food. The cabbage was exactly what it was supposed to be. It was a buttery, well seasoned concoction of sliced cabbage, carrots, and bell pepper. The plantain I requested well done and it was obvious they had been cooked probably this morning and left in a heating tray. They were dry and not very sweet and were not well done. I like mine with the sweet, crispy edges. These were NOT that. The only criticism I have of the chicken (other than the pieces being too small), is that the jerk sauce was not spicy...AT ALL! That was very disappointing. I'm accustomed to jerk chicken being spicy, but have not been able to find a spicy one in a while. I requested extra jerk sauce on the side and what I received was 2 small containers, one had bbq sauce and the other looked like a consommé or bbq mop sauce. They were both tasty. In the future, I would like to try the oxtails, curry chicken, festivals, and macaroni salad. Once I do, I will update this review. The 3 stars are for: 1 the tasty rice, 1 for the tasty chicken, and 1 for the tasty cabbage. 2 points were lost for the size of the chicken and it not being true SPICY jerk sauce. Also, the old, cold plantains. I always say I'm not going to write so much, and I just can't help it. Oh well...

First time ordering and not the last great food. Got the Oxtail plate and a side of Jerk Chicken. It was late so they were low on Jerk Chicken so they gave me more Oxtail and some Curry Chicken. Totally appreciate that I had knee surgery today and had it delivered so to have a great meal and customer service was I plus. Definitely ordering again
