This review is actually way overdue but while I have some time I wanted to thank El Sol for being my FAVORITE. I am a 10year plus customer, and I absolutely love the staff including the owner Joesapine because their customer service is top tier. I am a pescatarian but when I place my order for food I am always satisfied. They listen to me and always want their customers beyond satisfied! It was a time when I was in the hospital and El Sol continued to prepare my soups for me, which meant so much to me. A special, warm, pleasant ambience to dwell in. My favorites are the savory tiger prawn soup, crispy prawn tacos, and their juicy black beans! Thank you for everything. -Ashley

I go to Juan's Place for chile colorado and chile verde for 30 years. Today I tried the El Sol chile verde and it was very good. Pt Richmond is calm and quiet compared to industrial lower Berkeley where Juan's Place is. English is the first language. I could be stolen from Juan's Place if El Sol made Chile Colorado

I Lovvee this. The food is Always good,fresh, and prepared with Love. The customer service is Awesome and welcoming, and the restaurant is Always clean and spacious. Recently, I ordered something, and it was forgotten, but when I went back to order again, they remembered me and made up for the incorrect order last time. I definitely recommend this restaurant

I am so surprised with the less that amazing reviews of this place. I have eaten here many times and have enjoyed pozole, chicken tortilla soup, fajita bowls. Their food is scratch made (hecha en casa), very flavorful, salsa verde is ridiculously good. The owners are kind and humble and the food is consistent, healthy, authentic and not greasy. Love love love. My favorite Pt Richmond Mexican spot.,
