Title: Disappointing Experience at Kaoru Sushi I recently dined at Kaoru Sushi and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Despite my reluctance to leave bad reviews, the combination of subpar service and rude behavior compelled me to share my thoughts. Upon arrival, my party and I were excited to indulge in some sushi delights. However, our enthusiasm quickly waned when the first waiter neglected to provide our table with water. To add insult to injury, we watched as she bypassed our table to serve soup and water to two other groups who arrived after us. Feeling ignored and thirsty, we politely requested water from the waiter. Instead of a courteous response, she appeared visibly annoyed by our simple request. Such dismissive behavior only added to our disappointment and soured the dining experience. While the quality of the food may have been satisfactory, the lack of attentiveness and professionalism from the staff overshadowed any culinary enjoyment. In a competitive industry where customer service can make or break a restaurant, Kaoru Sushi fell short. In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Kaoru Sushi based on my recent experience. With numerous dining options available, I suggest seeking out establishments that prioritize customer satisfaction and hospitality. Overall Rating: (1 out of 5 stars)

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat. We've had take out once in the past and it was good so we decided to sit and eat. NFL playoffs going on, but not on the TVs so that was a bummer. Our order was taken quickly and we received our food in a timely manner. My wife got a miso soup and she said it wasn't the best, but she ate it. We received the 49ers roll and Philly roll first and both were good. It's hard to go wrong with these rolls. Really no complaints here. We received the tempura combo next and the tempura batter was crispy and flavorful. The dish was presented well, but on closer inspection I think the containers used to serve the dish have mold growing in them. At least that's what it looked like to me. (See photos) In the future we'll probably just stick to our favorite spots, but the sushi hit the spot. The service charge was unexpected and I really don't like that. Just add it to the food prices because it really does make you want to leave a smaller tip. For what we order it was $57, so fairly pricey in my opinion.

Waited 50 minutes for a chawan mushi. No explanation or apology from the waitress. There is a 15% mandatory service fee, and they asked for tips on top of that. I support mandatory service fee because it's better for the waiters, but they should not be asking for additional tips on the check. (I've been to restaurants with mandatory 15% and they put a stamp on the tips field that says "tips already included".) What they're doing here is ridiculous. They're basically counting on you not looking at the check carefully and tipping on top of it.

I usually don't order sukiyaki but when i tried it here, it was really just the right taste so this is the only place i would eat it. The seafood fried rice is also delicioso ??. The pricing also is good or average.

Doesn't take like authentic Japanese food. I ordered the chicken katsu curry. The chef can cook chicken katsu decently, but the curry itself was odd. It had an acidic taste that was overpowering and made it hard to finish. Toward the end of eating it where it was mostly rice, instead of curry rice it just tasted unusual. Usually that final stage of eating curry is one of my favorites, but it wasn't satisfying at all. Before eating, I also noticed burnt flakes in it so I had to spend about 5 minutes picking them all out. The miso soup tasted bland and had sliced mushrooms instead of tofu. The salad (which was so small I finished it in 2 bites) was probably my favorite part of the whole meal because of the iconic dressing I grew up with.

Quickly depart as the lady drops off the receipt. Our wait time was almost 15 minutes, and they never bothered to pick up the receipt. We had to approach them to grab their attention, and the lady didn't even offer an apology or anything. I watched them grab the salad and chicken with their barhands, so if you don't want people touching your food with theirs, don't come here. Sincerely, I've never had a worse service than this. Given that they charge 18% for service, I anticipated receiving a fantastic service. But I definitely did not.

Bar and atmosphere looked inviting but we were hoodwinked. Waitstaff avoided us for the most part. No napkins at the table or offered. No plates for serving or little dishes for soy sauce. Annoyed about the automatic 17% service charge when there was no service really, and it was just myself and my sister.Chirashi was fine, no complaints. They had uni nigiri which was fresh, and I was happy it was offered on the menu. Amaebi came at the very end of the meal when we were ready to leave.She ordered the katsu donburi, oh my god it was disgusting. Just looking at it, it was like goopy gooey soup. The katsu was not crispy or crunchy hidden beneath what I am assuming is supposed to be egg, but it was so gross looking. It was more like a chinese congee, but without cooking down the rice? Terrible.Would not be back again. Do not recommend.
