“Ambiance: Love this little hole in the wall. It isn't the most spacious restaurant, but the atmosphere is cozy. I love how the lighting is slightly dim. Food: For appetizers I get the spicy edamame if it's just me. If I'm out with company, I'll order spicy edamame and either combo tempura or the takoyaki. Entrees: I love getting either the tonkatsu ramen or pork Katsu curry, along with two sushi rolls. I typically order the King Kong roll or the rainbow roll. But honestly, I have never ordered something and not liked it. Pricing: In my opinion; slightly higher prices for the valley, but still affordable for sushi, seafood, etc. But if it goes up any higher then (in my opinion) it would not be worth it. And I say this, as I've had higher quality fish for around the same price. Service is nice. Although, at times it can be a little chaotic. There was one instance in which the waiter somehow messed up our reservation. Which led to us being seated about an hour from closing, and so the staff was rushing us. Overall I nice little gem. One of my favorite sushi spots in Modesto.“
“One of my favorite places in Modesto! I've tried the spicy scallop, spicy tuna, and octopus, as well as their Spicy House sauce, Eel sauce, Spicy mayo and Ponzu. Everything is so delicious! These are my personal favorites, but everything else is just as good!“
“Raw Sushi Bistro is fantastic. The best sushi you could possibly get in the 209 area. The restaurant has a great ambiance. It's very clean and dimly lit. The sushi itself is impeccable. The staff is very fast and very nice. I highly recommend Raw Sushi Bistro for anyone that loves sushi.“

“The sushi was an 8/10. Rolls fell apart and weren't rolled tight enough but were tasty. Miso ramen was pretty basic. The spring rolls were too mushy on the inside. But the service and quickness of the food was fantastic. Highly recommend the veggie rice with tofu ($2.00 extra charge).“
“I love this place. Every time I've been here the food is delicious. The tempura shrimp and veggies are always cooked perfectly. My kid tried the sesame chicken with a ginger sauce and it was wonderful. The ginger sauce wasn't overpowering. I'm not a big fan of flavored ice tea but they have a raspberry ice tea that is very refreshing.“

“Excellent food. Definitely order the bento box. It is a must when coming here. They have a wide selection of food items ranging from sushi and sashimi to bento and ramen. The waiter would occasionaly check up on us to ensure we had a satisfactory experience. The dim lighting with focused lighting at each table definitely adds a gentle feeling to the atmosphere. Overall I can't find a reason to NOT recommend this location to everyone I know. 10/10 would recommend“
“Love the food there. Except for the waitress we’ve had before a few times; the waitresses act like there’s no urgency or act like they care about their customers. We had to ask 3 times last night for straws, napkins, etc. Plus I know my husbands water was empty & she never came to do refills.“

“We always have a great experience when we come here especially with our 3 kids. The food is great, the portions are very generous. Only issue this visit was our server didn't come around enough to refill our drinks. Other than that A+. “Yummy sushi is a wonderful restaurant. When they first opened, I thought that they were a little expensive but I gave it another chance and come to find out they had a new owner and they had dropped the prices. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed my meal. Since then I've been there several times and each time it does not disappoint. My favorite is sashimi and I love the salad and the unique flavor of the dressing. I hope everyone will give yummy sushi a try and I'm sure you'll go back time and time again.“
