“I will come back to this restaurant because they had a kind,, friendly,, helpful staff/ cook/ owner.. I will try a different plate next time. Thank you for making the customer feel appropriated.I had the molcahete. I don't recommend it. Great presentation but not the greatest flavor.. I was expecting grilled chicken. it is like boiled. souces are a bit sweet, I was expecting spicy.Next time I will order Italian.I had my food, and then realized I was late to a meeting. so, they were very kind on packing my food really fast. The cooked came out and took my tortillas to my car, since I left them behind. Thank you. AWESOME SERVICE.“
“Meeting the owner of the business and had an appointment with him. He offered lunch and I accepted. I was blown away by the freshness, flavor of the pizza here. He asked me what I wanted so I always try pepperoni pizza if it's a new place I never been to before.I highly recommend this place. It's cozy small family friendly oriented atmosphere. If you are in the Riverbank area. Stop in for a bite.“
“Came here for the first time and it was enjoyable. The atmosphere of this place is nice and peaceful. Food was also great! I had a young lad named Noah and he made sure everything went great for my first time. Thanks to him and the food i will for sure be coming back.“
“Love this hidden gem. Food is ALWAYS good.Vegetarian options: A number of dishes are vegetarian but I don't remember if there was a specific section labeled vegetarian.Wheelchair accessibility: Entry large enough for wheelchairs. Room at tables floor easy access and sidewalk level entry, no stairs. Plenty of room parking.“
“Went here for my birthday lunch a couple months ago and had Bruschetta, crab cakes, and chicken parm with fettuccine alfredo. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the 209. Their food is always hot, fresh, and super flavorful! I can't come here without getting the Bruschetta and chicken parm. They also have a very tentative and freidnly staff. Truly a hidden gem of Modesto. 10/10!“
“Delicious Italian food made to order. All employees treated me very kindly. The place is very clean and from the moment you enter you love the atmosphere and the aroma. We ate pasta, calzones, pizzas, ice cream and cannolis. Everything perfect ?“
“I have to say and all my years of coming to Olive Garden I have never had so much fun as I have today. I came with my eight-year-old niece to celebrate our date day and my grandson’s birthday who lives in Colorado. Since he was not here and I came out to have a celebration together. Well, in the midst of having this celebration, we met Dave the bartender, Eddie , the waiter and another great waiter. Dave was a hoot. He made pictures of us and showed us all of his awesome Garfield pictures and told us some really corny jokes that made us laugh and laugh and laugh. ? Eddie also affectionately known as Lalo was a great server and attended to all of our needs and made sure we were happy and well taken care of. And Anna, what a ray of sunshine, brought our food out as fast as a flash with the help of the kitchen….thank you kitchen staff! ? The food was absolutely delicious… As always, the salad was fresh and nicely cold and crispy! My eggplant was HOT and nice and crispy and the gluten-free pasta OMG ? to die for! If you need to eat gluten-free pasta, this is the best I’ve ever had. Thank you, Olive Garden team for making my day a special and memorable one with my niece. We will be back!!!!!!☺️Happy Birthday Domiyanno, Lita misses you! “
“We visited for the first time for an early dinner before symphony on a recent Friday evening. I had made reservations online and we were greeted with smiles when we arrived. Our table for eight was ready. Waters around were delivered and when our group had all arrived our waiter took our drink order. The wine list is adequate but not extensive. We perused the menu and our wine was delivered. Our waiter was kind to allow our party to have one check per couple, which our group prefers. The menu has Italian, Mexican and Greek offerings so something for everyone. Two of us had the gyros plate which includes soup or salad. My husband had the ribeye, some had the pistachio crusted salmon and others the chicken piccata. Bread is served with the meal. Everyone was happy with their choices. We even had time for dessert, chocolate silk mousse cake for us to share and rice pudding for others. We all agreed to add this restaurant to our rotation for symphony nights. Easy walking distance to the Gallo Center for the Arts and parking is nearby. Do give D'Forno Cocina a try!“
“Probably the best place for sandwich es in Oakdale and definitely in the top three in all of Stanislaus county. Get there early because the later it gets in the day the busier it's going to be. The food is great and the staff has a great attitude.“
“Update: March 2024We came again Thursday for their new Prix fixe menu. You've got to try it! We had a tasty arugula salad with the perfectly tangy vinaigrette. The second course was short ribs with mashed potatoes and veggies. A little pepper would have helped, but still the meat was very tender, potatoes creamy and veggies with just the right crunch. Dessert was creme brulee, yum, one of my favorites. We had a large group and sat outside in the patio. The food was good. We tried several appetizers and they were excellent. My chicken dinner was only OK, but my husband loved his steam. Dewz, though, had an even better streak in his opinion. When the sun went down, there was outdoor heading and fire puts to keep us warm. Two nights later Surla's catered a dinner at the Vet Center and that was fantastic. We'll be back.“
“Great food. Came here for the first time a few months ago and have been back several times since. Up until now the best Italian food I’ve ever had was when visited our daughter in San Diego and we always go to Buono Forcheta in the South Park area. Gusto is as good as they are. The depth of flavor in the bolognese sauce is amazing. The lasagna is also amazing. The other nice thing is that the kitchen is out in the open behind the bar area and you can watch the chef work his magic if you want to sit at the bar.“
“This Chicken Parmigiana from this restaurant tastes good. The chicken is deep fried and tasty enough that it can satisfy my stomach and my taste buds. The amount of mozzarella cheese is exactly what I needed so that the entire thing doesn’t taste too cheesy. Otherwise it tasted good. The price for this is $15.99. And this is what a $15.99 chicken parmigiana. I would recommend this pasta for those who like pasta or chicken.“
“Pizza is the best in town and customer service is great!!!! Thank you Mo we appreciate the delicious pizza and your kindness Rocks!!!!! We will never eat pizza anywhere else again seriously the pizza is the BEST!!!!! Kevin and Lori (Red Lobster)“
“I took my family for dinner here when visiting. The space is beautifully done. Everyone loved their dinner...we had the special sea bass, chicken parmesan, shrimp and grits, pizza...they were all delicious! For appetizers we had the beef carpacio and the Thai mussels. The Thai clams were some of the best things we ever had. The broth was complex and layered. The wine list was small but had some good offbeat wines like Cakebread Cellars. I understand this is a new owner for this restaurant...great first impression for me! Thank you!“
“I've only had the beer and cider and their choices are awesome! Maybe next time I'll grab a bite to eat. The last time we stopped in was just to grocery shop after sushi so we weren't hungry but I guess we were thirsty We grabbed a couple brews and watched the game. Staff are super friendly and informative. Can't wait to stop in again to try more adult beverages.“
“Such a beautiful restaurant and it wasn't busy for lunch when I went and grabbed a drink and food with a friend. The bread ($3) was fresh and paired well with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The lemon drop was rich and sweet in flavor. The chicken Alfredo was super tasty and creamy as well, with a nice portion for dinner later. The prices are normal for the area and Italian food. I wish the pasta came with a side salad or veggies for the price. Ran into Mr. Tom Gallo himself so that was cool. I will be back one day. Pics to follow.“
“This place is a gem! The food is absolutely amazing, and they consistently nail it with both their regular menu items and the specials. The portions are generous, making it a great bang for your buck without compromising on quality. It's not just a restaurant; it's like stepping into a home away from home. The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel like part of their family the moment you walk in. Plus, the drinks are top-notch! Overall, a delightful experience every time.“
“Great food. Great service. Would definitely go again. I had fettuccine. My sister had spaghetti with meatball. We also tried/shared a desert. Don't remember the name. It was amazing!Vegetarian options: Some dishes can be altered to be vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: I am vegetarian and also reduce salt.Wheelchair accessibility: I don't use a wheelchair. But there appears to be access.“
“Limited parking. Small restaurant. We were there on Valentines Day evening, and it was very crowded. Pictures on their website showed white table cloths, but there weren't any that day. That said, the food was very good and the chocolate mousse cake was to die for. It's definitely worth a visit on a less busy day.“
