Worst market in all Riverside! 65% Employees speak no English. I usually have to interrupt for customers. Service cage is always empty and you have to beg someone to help you. Managers are the worse. Not sure were they find them because that store has old dried out tamales in the steam bin. The pan dulce is old and harder than rocks!Lines are to check out are a nightmare!Do not shop there!!!

Went to get sweet bread and bolillo. There were two flies inside the sweet bread cupboard. Sitting on the bread. I didn't get any. The bolillo was undercooked. Took a couple and upon opening them they were clearly still raw. I don't normally shop here. But this was close to me I decided to go. But never again.

Funny reading a review about the " did she miss the no colored sign" because that's the exact feeling I got when ordering food. The lady behind the register helped 2 Hispanic ladies before me and walked away once it was my turn to order and never returned to the register. Very raciest feeling when walking through those doors

Is there a No Coloreds Allowed sign somewhere that I missed before walking in????? Because this place did NOT pass the vibe check!! All eyes on me, gave me an uneasy feeling from MOST of the employees, including the guard.Guess I gotta get my salsa from somewhere else now, won't be stopping here anymore.

Broken doors, the place smells horrible, and the cashiers just walk off for 20 mins or more in the middle of checking someone out. Not to mention the one lady that takes 45 mins to scan 5 items. This store used to be nice but it's horrible now. AVOID!!!

The checkout is ridiculous, only one checker and the self checkout. I pay full price for the groceries, we aren't getting any discounts for self serve and if we want to wait for a checker the wait is long. We have also had some bad experiences with prepared foods within last 2 months, one was expired the other over salted, like the shaker fell into the pot.

I went to buy fresh beef tamales for dinner. There were not any in the refrigerated section so I got some from the steam table. When I got home I found they they were so over steamed the I could not serve them to my family! There are plenty of other stores to buy fresh tamales. I be going to one of them in the future.

If you want crappy service and workers with a crappy attitude go here, their food is only subpar. Their vegetables seem to be what other stores don't want to use. $0.15 cents a bag, when Staters sometimes gives them out for free. The meat department stinks bad, I would never buy meat or seafood here, don't feel like getting food poisoning. We returned some plates because we didn't use them, and the grama working there had the audacity to tell us, O because you didn't use them you are returning them. What business is that of yours, do you own the store? is it coming out of your pocket? Needless to say, whenever anyone asks for something I don't recommend them go to this terrible market, I send them somewhere else.

Most of the time, there is no soap in the restroom to wash your hands. That is not sanitary
I can see why this store only has 2 stars.. mostly everyone that works here seems liked they have a stick up their a$$. You can't ask them a simple ? With out them giving you and attitude or a face .. I wanted tamales and went to the lady in the counter and bought a champurado and said add 2 tamales . Shes like you have to grab them first i said oh i didnt know but just charge me and and look at me so you can see im only taking 2 and ill grab them behind me after i pay .. she didnt do that she only charged me my champurado . Like come on you think I'm going to get back in line or steal 2 tamales.. so i left simple stuff like that make no senses plus she had an attitude while helping me out ..

I have to go here because it's the only place close by that sells fresh tortillas and the lady's in the kitchen are always super chill. However when asking where any carts available while holding my grand-baby greeter by the door just said there isn't any instead of having courtesy or any customers service and finding a cart. I don't believe anyone that works here is very happy they all look miserable and mad! Hope u. improve Cardenas!

I've been going to Cardenas markets for 8 years now and have been getting burritos at least once a month on average. This Cardenas gave a burrito the size of my iPhone SE. Tiniest thing I've ever seen, looks like I got a burrito from taco bell but half the length.
