Gave this place a chance multiple times but the quality and service is never up to par. Seems like since the original owner changed, service is super slow and the quality has gone down. Tried to order my usual order Togo one time and the girl on the phone didn't know what I was talking about and I was getting confused because she was trying to explain a similar order that thought was mine and so I ordered it. When I came to pick up in store, i checked my order and it wasn't what I wanted and I told the cashier in the front and he mentioned that they had the order I originally wanted but couldn't change my order even though the girl was confusing my order. So I paid for it and left thinking the girl was new or something so I can understand if there's some confusion but I don't understand why she couldn't have asked another server if she was confused. Went back again several times since my husband likes this place but service is always slow and the girl servers that are working there always seem so confused and never come to check up on you. Food is just so so and prices are okay for what you get which is why we kept going but portion sizes seem to be getting smaller and the overall experience just doesn't seem worth it anymore

Got there and sat down almost immediately which was good. There was only a couple of other tables. We ordered soju to begin and that was brought over while we looked at the menu. Once we ordered we waited 45 minutes for 2 orders of fried chicken. When we asked what was taking so long, we were told our food was given to a different table. No compensation, no apology, nothing. I asked for the bill and paid for the soju and left. Service sucks here. What a shame because the vibe was cool and wanted to try this place out.

I like this place. It is small but quaint. The decor is cool, and service is good. I love their wings. I have been back 3 times. Give it a try.

Love love love!!! The service is amazing they are so kind and helpful with the menu if you've never been. It's a cute restaurant that has a very laid back and comfortable ambiance. Now the food, the food was so good. We got the lemon pepper wings and the spicy soy garlic wings and the flavor on them was life changing. You could taste how fresh and hot the chicken was and see that the lemon pepper Seasoning was made and not just from a bottle. I definitely recommend!

Chimek serves amazing, crispy korean fried chicken and savory side dishes in their pretty little space! There's popular Korean pop music playing on a speaker and dimmed lighting, which add a ton to the vibes. Not to mention the Korean idol posters put up all around the walls! The food itself is also delicious! The chicken is very crunchy (when eaten right away), as well as the fries. Side dishes were really yummy as well (The rice balls were also delicious, 10/10 with a great mix of mayo and kimchi). Overall, the value for what you get is pretty good too! I personally did not find the ddeokbokki (Korean rice cakes) to taste... very authentic when I went there yesterday? But I'm not letting that affect my review because I've been here twice before and it tasted amazing both times. Last thing to note is that service can be rather slow. In terms of main dishes. The side dishes and drinks came out fast, but the actual chicken took a good 25-30ish minutes. Not bad of a wait time, but something to consider when eating out at a place that might seem like a "quick grab."

I see a lot of review of 5 star‍ but the food wasn't the greatest. The chicken tenders were tough & over cooked, it' was hard to chew & swallow. Both flavor of soy garlic & lemon peppers were salty. They give you a little bit of fries on the side, pickled radish & "slaw". The only I enjoy eating was the picked radish. Not worthwhile for the price.

Upon walking in, the place has an old dive bar vibe but the staff are friendly and changes the vibe into something completely different than expected. I love the fact that this was not one of those big chain places. KPOP blasting a multiple flat screens were upbeat and gives the atmosphere a younger and more inclusive vibe. The exciting menu was exactly what we were in the mood for, multiple dimensions of heat and crunch. The DIY Riceball sounds like a very simple idea but executive perfectly with excellent quality ingredients. Soy garlic chicken was perfectly balanced flavor with your own choice of heat level. Overall, Chimak Holuse is a easy place to relax, have a beer or soju, grub down on some unique as well as familiar treats

Used to come here a lot. The service is super slow, the kitchen staff was all replaced. Food doesn't taste as good as it was before it shut down.

Finally found a korean fried chicken place not too far as I'd always drive to Chino or OC for my cravings! Food is decent and the price is good. Portion sizes are a bit small so family style is better when dining with a few in your party. They offer beer and soju and they stay open pretty late. Service was friendly and fast.

Wanted to get some chimaek after a session of bouldering with a buddy and stumbled across this place. The name of this restaurant is literally chicken and beer and that's what they sold. Service was a bit slow but I just saw two people working so that was understandable. We ordered a 20 piece set that came with fries and got the lemon pepper and spicy soy garlic. We also ordered the tteokbokki at a mild spice level. The chicken was nice and crispy and the fries were excellent. The beer selection could be better though. The tteokbokki was nice and chewy (some places make it too hard) but even the mild was too much for me. I'm weak with spicy. They also had a cut out of an IU stand promoting soju and the lady working there was kind enough to give me one of their IU posters.
