Definitely sad to not see flavoring options for the milk tea. I got the iced, regular milk, milk tea with boba, ⅔ sweet. DELICIOUS! Although it's different from what I normally get it was very tasty and inexpensive. Everything was fresh and you could tell! Yum! ? Though service was a little slow, there was only one girl working and she was very sweet and tried to go as quickly as possible. Definitely recommend ?

My 9, soon to be 10, yr old daughter is a boba connoisseur. She loved this place and we went everyday while in town for a fun soccer tournament. The serve was kind and attentive. The flavors were yummy and inventive. The boba was tasty and the perfect texture. Do t forget the lychee jellies. Well done loose leaf boba. Also thought the food lab was super cool

Went to grab coffee on a gloomy day, and the service was as cold as the weather. If you're working at a coffee/tea spot your attitude should match the bubbly names of the drinks on your menu. Way too many options in Riverside that I'd rather go to, not worth the price point

The food lab has been one of my favorite places to grab some food whenever I'm in Downtown. This specific stall in the food lab used to be an Auggie's coffee shop (which seems to have shut down everywhere now?), Mi Cafecito (another coffee shop but with Latinx theme), and now a boba spot. I find it a good alternative to buying a beer or cocktail to go with my food whenever I'm here (and cheaper alternative). I had the Thai milk tea with 50% sweetness and it was perfect. They were able to get my drink out to me pretty quickly even though there was a long line of people who had ordered before me. I hope this place can last longer than the previous two businesses so I can keep coming back!

I want to love this place but I don't, yet. We ordered the seasonal coconut Ube drink with boba. 1/2 sweet and 1/4 sweet was still entirely way too sweet. The drink itself was tasty and you can tell it's made with natural ingredients, not synthetic. My main gripe is with the boba. Our boba was hard and under cooked on the inside and very sticky on the outside. Major disappointment considering we came for a boba drink. Yes, prices are steep, but so is everything else at Food Lab. Will have to try again in hopes that the boba is better!

New boba shop in riverside food lab! Although the line was pretty long, the drinks came out fast after ordering! The POG Aqua Fresca was one of the best drinks I've ever had. I loved the amount of tea options - both caffeinated and herbal, and can't wait to try more!

Had a black sugar oat milk latte today and I think the milk was expired. I've used oat milk before and have never had an adverse reaction to it, but this one gave me an upset stomach.

Tried the taro coconut drink, it is so good and not super sweet you can also adjust sweetness and milk. Matcha green tea latte is yummy as well. They give samples sometimes and are very friendly.
Just okay. Not a Riverside native so I don't know the price points in the area, but this shop's prices were steep for what we got. I got the Peach Mango Sunset which I think has no tea and just juices, but it was almost $7 just for the drink with no topping. The taste wasn't very strong, the singular flavor I got from this was "sour" LOL, no peach nor mango flavor. The other tea we got was the HK milk tea which is very flavorful, no notes on that one. Other con is we asked for light ice and they didn't top our drinks off which left a sour taste because of the expensive price.

Loose Leaf has some amazing drinks! Happy they are now in Riverside at the Food lab. I've been there a couple of times and all the staff is so friendly and helpful. First time I got the Thai tea and it was delicious. They brewed it to perfection. One of the best I've had. A couple other places where they make it good is 7 Leaves and L'Moon Creamery. Last time I stopped by, I customized a drink with mango puree, jasmine tea, whole milk, and cheese foam...so good! I wish it was a drink on their menu because customizing it like this was pricey. They are located on the right hand side as soon as you walk in through the main entance doors. If you love tea & nearby, you need to try this place because they know how to brew some tea and their drinks are great!

The ube vanilla drink was very grainy and the boba balls had no real brown sugar flavor to them just tasted like bland rubber. The reviews on here were all good, yet the actual drinks were the total opposite.
