Does anyone know what happened to cabin sushi? It’s been closed a while … I’m worried

I ordered 2 premium rolls and they were underwhelming. I was only able to finish 1 plate which lacked flavor and was overfried. The one in the picture I could not finish. it was soggy where the rice was wet. also the plates were dirty. The people around me seemed to be enjoying it so maybe it was just my experience but I've tried many premium sushi restaurants and hole in the walls and this place goes to the bottom of the list

This was my families ABSOLUTE favorite sushi spot. The older man that ran the place always treated us as family when we dined in. His daughter also worked there as a server and she always made our dining experience a great one. I just read this place is now permanently closed and I am really sad now. Their salmon sashimi was the absolute best around, not to mention the udon soup.....I will genuinely miss eating out here with my family, and I hope all is well with the family that owned this place. Great people!

I like this place. Eat here, I have been doing so for almost 20 years.

Gave this place another shot. The sashimi was way better this time! My complaint is I placed a to-go phone order and specified it was 2 separate orders for 2 separate people. The order was packed in container which made sharing extremely difficult. We also did not want to share which is why we placed the separate orders. I would really like to see this place improve as it's the closest sushi place to me.

I got the black dragon roll & roll 911 . They were both great. Good customer service and a great comfy spot . I'll be back !!

Food was good but takes time for food to be served. Grandchildren were impatient.

I was reading a lot of the negative reviews, but I see what's in common with majority of them: they are coming from cheap and demanding customers. Why are so many of you upset of the price increase? Most businesses have been hurting since the pandemic and since inflation hit, this business needs to increase their prices to survive to stay open. If you can't afford an extra $5 cost than you shouldn't be eating out in the first place. Some people understand how a business is ran and ignorant people assume a business makes bank. If the owners made so much money with this place, then why were they the ones attending the restaurant, serving tables, making sure everyone is happy. Anyone who knows the owners also know how sweet they are. I've been a customer of Cabin Sushi for over a decade and I never once had an issue. Owners work hard and are really sweet! They are always so welcoming and ask how my family is doing. My whole family loves coming here! And they ask because they genuinely care! I'm a sushi go-er that eats sushi 2 or 3x a week and this place is a master of their craft. Sushi has always been fresh and thick! The people who are complaining, truly have no clue what their talking about and most likely never tried places like Kura Sushi. I moved to Brea, Ca and still make an effort to come to Cabin Sushi because that is how amazing it is. So with that being said, I'm content with everything Cabin Sushi has to offer and how thankful I am that they've delivered amazing food for over a decade!

Isn't fresh and quality food you can expect at its price. They also stoped all you can eat. There is very few people dining in.

Outstanding, That is how I rated our meal. Being from the Bay Area we have top notch sushi restaurants and this meal we had tops almost all of them. Not sure how they do it but their rice is like a pillow of fluffiness filled with goodness. I'm gonna go back for sure. Thank you

The most yummy sushi in Riverside! Under new management but Kevin is still helping and supervising. It is so nice to have time with him. They have some amazing rolls, New York Steak roll is a favorite of my husband and son. The portions are so generous and extremely delicious. If you eat Sushi anywhere else your missing out on the best!

It's been 6 years since my boyfriend and I have tried this place. We were celebrating our 6 year anniversary and thought it would be cool to come back to the sushi restaurant that we first ate at together. We were surprised to see that they had remodeled the place. It looks really nice! More modern and trendy looking. The staff was absolutely the best. So sweet and our waiter was always checking in on us. He also gave us some great recommendations on what to order. The menu has also definitely grown. There are way more roll options now. Everything looked so good but we narrowed it down to 4 rolls: Hot Woman, Ichiban, Eskimo, and Crunch Crunch. My favorite rolls were the Hot Woman and the Eskimo. So good! And our absolute favorite was the sushi pieces. We ordered yellowtail, salmon, and eel. Omg...the salmon and yellowtail tasted amazing! So fresh and thick and doesn't have a fishy smell or aftertaste. And this opinion is based on the fact that my bf and I eat sushi almost every week and have tried a lot of different places. This is our new favorite spot in Riverside. We will definitely be coming back again. 10/10

This is a good spot for Sushi in the Downtown area. It's tucked away from the center of Downtown but very accessible by foot - which I liked. The server who helped me the last time I visited was very friendly. The sushi was overall good. It's not the best sushi I've ever had but it is really good! The restaurant closes each day between 2:30pm-4:30pm, which is sort of a bummer. I've had an instance in the past where I showed up at 2:30pm and was refused service because they were closing. They are also closed on Tuesdays so heads up! I do recommend Pacific Cabin Sushi if you are in the area!

If it wasn't for the stellar service and kind owners and employees I would have given this place a lower rating. We took a friend out for sushi and tried this place out. First parking is difficult, and if it wasn't for the day we came we would have had to pay. Menu seemed interesting but disappointing. Service was excellent and even thought it was nice the staff gave homeless people water. But since it's downtown there was this weird guy ordering to go and started to talk loudly to himself. It was mildly uncomfortable. Now stay away from a jalapeño type roll and most of their rolls were modified California rolls. Wifey ordered udon and was sadly below average. The kicker was all of us the next day had upset stomachs. I'll pass on this place.
