The breakfast was very bad, the raw chorizo was messy, the attention was lacking.

The food is definitely worth every penny? . I read numerous cooments on "how bad is the service" or "the food is pricey." Well, 2023, what's not pricey? Today, 09/21/2023, was my husband's and I 1st time dining there. Let me tell you that the ladies/cooks and cashier are very well mannered, very friendly. (I guess it's how you treat people. They will treat you back) we waited no more than 20 mins for the order of 4 pupusas revueltas, a plate of bistec encebollado, and a coffee. My main credit is on how they are experts on making pupusas with harina de arroz (rice flour! excellent job, ladies??) the regular pupusas revueltas are delish because they use real and fresh beans (frijoles Salvadoreños de seda?) the steak flavor was tender, soft and sauce in it... uuuuff yums? !!! Kudos to the owner and staff for taking their time on making the ingredients fresh and original. **Not like many other "restaurants " they use canned beans?‍♀️!!** Definitely, prices are worth the flavor, and I /we recommend this restaurant ??You will not be disappointed ?#salvadorean #food ????????

What can I say but, "Come here for great papusas!" There were three older ladies working. They were very nice even though we came in 35 minutes before closing. The hours in Yelp are incorrect. My family and I got 7 papusas. We tried the Spinach and cheese, bean and cheese, chicken, carne asada, and the mixed papusas. The bean and cheese was spectacular! To me this was the star of the show. My wife thought the carne asada was the best. My son loved the mixed. We were happy with all of the papusas. We were stuffed and has some to take home. We took home is of the Salvadoran cheesecakes. My wife and son never had one before, or was very moist and tasty. It was delicious with my coffee in the morning. We are already planning our next time there!

It's the only place I've been consistently for Papusa. They have upgraded their decor. Which is very nice but not as homey feeling. It's pretty modern. Prices seemed to have gone up a bit and they got rid of Mexican food and made it strictly El Salvadorian which I can understand. But miss.

I bad the caldo de gallina with a side of rellenos. The chicken appeared as dry but oh boy, it was not. I went back on a Monday and they were closed

Best Pupusa place I’ve tried in Riverside, very authentic and delicious. Highly recommended and definitely will be coming back. A bit of a wait but definitely worth it!

The pupusas are freaking delicious! BUT... come to find out they are over charging you! They use a calculator to get your total so you don't notice it! I ordered 6 pupusas and I went back and asked how many did he charge me and he said 7! He knew it was only 6 pupusas in my order! And this is not the first time I noticed paying a little too much! I don't think I'm going back ....

So I work near by with a 45 minute lunch so right off the bat they are busy but that's because everything is made to order. This was my first time here and I gotta say the food was delicious. I got the 3 Papusa combo and it come with black beans and rice which was really good. I haven't had black beans that good in a long time. I would recommend you call in the order just to be on the safe side. I will definitely be back to try some other menu items..

My husband and I have been ordering pupusas from here since we started dating--it's hands down our favorite pupuseria in the area and we try to visit every time we are in town. We love that they have plenty of vegetarian options--he usually gets the jalapeño and cheese pupusas, and I get bean and cheese or spinach and cheese or zucchini and cheese. They give of curtido and salsa roja, and they have a spicy sauce if you ask for it. They are not fast but it's because they hand make everything to order. You can order ahead to save time. I like their plantains too. Highly recommend.
