I don't write many reviews but I am trying to save as many innocent people as I can. As someone who grew up in Hawaii, this is the worst attempt at Hawaiian style plate lunch food I have ever had. The noodles are straight out of a $2 ramen pack. The rice way overcooked. The protein options were clearly an attempt to go cheap. I am sure they have awesome desserts and shave ice. But please save yourself and do not eat the food here. It's not only embarassing but gave my girlfriend and I a stomach ache for the rest of the day.

I don't usually leave reviews but I have to specifically for this place to further stray away from the scary thought that it might close due to whatever circumstance. I have never had a more delicious drink/concoction than the Kei's Lani. It is literally the most perfect thing I have ever tried. How do they manage to delicately meld together the ice cream texture and shaved ice texture with lilikoi and guava flavors? It's amazing. Their garlic fried rice is also phenomenal, a taste that is hard to find in Torrance. The cherry on top is their butter mochi with bruleed top. (Also, they have my favorite sauces like cilantro jalapeño). They fill in every aspect that I more or less find absent in other restaurants around here. Please don't ever close

This is definitely a hole in the wall but worth the trip up the hill. The atmosphere around the place is a bit sad since the mall it is adjacent to has had better days but the food is great. I love their moco loco and their shave ice is delicious. Recommend calling your order ahead and picking up to go.

Our first time here. Very friendly staff and great portion size. We all had different kinds of desserts. All so delicious! Can't wait for our next visit!

The wait time at Good Stuff was too long today for lunch so we decided to try Big Island instead. We ordered a guava chicken plate lunch that came with rice and Mac salad and dressing on top of coleslaw, spam musubi, and a Chinese chicken salad with lemon vinaigrette on the side. The spam musubi were weirdly wrapped but tasty overall, although they offered them with sauce which was confusing to me (having grown up in Hawaii I've many a spam musubi and never have they come with sauce). The guava chicken was moist but the rice was not short grain rice but maybe more like old Ben's rice which was also strange. The Mac salad was pretty tasteless - and the coleslaw was raw shredded cabbage with a dressing on top. The chicken salad was fresh romaine lettuce with a handful of thin slices of chicken breast - and some red onions and sliced almonds. The dressing was mostly oil and not very tasty - but I did finish the entire salad. It's perhaps not fair to compare this plate lunch place to those in Hawaii - but I'll look forward to having a real plate lunch in Honolulu.

Good food, good Shave ice, NOT thrilled with inability to do cash transactions! Would not give change back! So that's unacceptable!

We used Big Island Eats to cater a party for 30 people. I asked Nani for suggestions and she gave me several options. We decided on Spicy Tuna Parfait, Garlic Seared Hamachi sushi bites, Guava chicken skewers, BBQ Kalua pork sliders w/tempura onions, tofu katsu bites with two sauces and Quinoa Cranberry and Feta salad with her signature sweet onion dressing. I wanted a Hawaiian themed menu but she can do many other types of food. Everything was delicious and my guests all raved about the food. I highly recommend Big Island eats for both everyday meals and your party food. The food is always fresh and seasoned perfectly. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable.

I love this place so much! I mainly order my combo plate with either grilled tofu or katsu tofu with Cilantro and Apricot chili sauce. So bomb! Mouth watering as I write, flavors combine perfect. The staff is always welcoming and so friendly. Whether I eat in or take out the food is always great and tastes fresh.

$30 double protein plate. Some pieces of beef were over cooked and found a lettuce aphid in my greens.

This people expect someone with alot of work experience. But 2 month trial befor they even get tips. What a joke. This people take the cake on taking advantage of their workers. No excuse every other business tips there new employees maybe some don't time for the first 3 day because their being trained. But to not tipping them out for 2 months. What a joke!! Ask any other business if the do this and you'll get your answer. Don't try covering this mumbo jumbo just because you as the owner is getting some of the tip or you have a family member working there and that's were the tip really goes to.

Very yummy and filling. My son liked the chicken and kahlua pork combo. Butter mochi is also good. Not diet friendly, but sometimes is ok.
