A relatively new customer to this restaurant. But twice visits in three weeks. Can offer hot and cold drinks. The quality of the food is good and the portion is way more than some of others. Waiters are friendly and work very efficiently. I am returning.

My Mom, my brother+his family, and I have eaten at China Bistro twice during outside dining only. At the time, there weren't a lot of smokers. We most recently returned this past weekend since the reopening of inside dining... however, we still chose to eat outside. This time, there were tons of smokers. There are several "No Smoking" signs posted in the outside patio dining area, but management still allows customers to smoke while they are dining outside (unfortunately, I had to knock off 2 stars because of it... otherwise it would have been a 5 stars). It is unfortunate they don't follow the rules because it affects the customers who don't smoke and want to dine outside. We stayed outside and ate anyway... it's just not the healthiest IMHO. All dishes ordered were on point in flavors (portions were decent) except for the Mongolian Beef which was meh and practically untouched by most after the first try LOL. Our favorites are below... I know there are other good dishes, too... we will have to try them next time. 1. Filet Mignon in french style (I don't eat beef, but I hear this is the B*MB!) 2. Deep Fried Chicken Wings with spicy salt (Big wings, just scrumptious!) 3. Deep Fried Squid with spicy salt (Very lightly battered, just delish!) 4. Seafood Porridge with add on thousand year egg (+2.00) (Tons of seafoods and thousand year egg put it over the top) 5. Honey Walnut Shrimp (Shrimp wasn't as big as last time, but still good) 6. Seafood and Tofu in clay pot (Delicious!) 7. Beef Stew + Wonton Lo Mein (Big portions, tasty!) 8. On Choy with garlic (Wonderful!) We had a party of 9 people and we were able to make reservations for outside dining. Whoever took our call did warn us that there will be smokers nearby. I asked them to place us far away from the smokers... they said that's just not feasible. Oh well... Anyway, give China Bistro a try when you're in the San Gabriel Valley area. They are a very good choice for authentic Chinese foods... wok flavors are different from other restaurants. Happy Bistro'ing!

I ordered Clams with Basil sauce. All dead clams, so smelly, weren't fresh at all. There were 4 of us. All of us tried the dish and concluded the same. So.... No, its not just me or something went wrong with my bud taste. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Always my favorite spot to get cold jellyfish, stir fry and more. I especially love their stir fry eggplant, their steam fish, shrimp scrambled eggs, claypots...etc delicious

I Do NOT recommend! NOT a COVID safe establishment! Waiters with attitude. Patrons Smoking in outdoor patio dining tables during COVID pandemic ! My family and I chose to dine here because we have kids and they offer outdoor patio dining during this COVID pandemic . We arrived at 6pm on a Friday. Shortly after being seated we noticed several patrons were smoking at the their table DESPITE the fact that there was a sign posted stating no smoking (and in LA county it is illegal to smoke within 25 ft of restaurant seating) We asked the waiter if he could tell them to stop smoking. The waiter REFUSED. When we asked the waiter if the restaurant allows smoking , the waiter replied "no" however he told us that if we didn't like it we could either dine inside or WE could leave because he was NOT going to ask them to stop. The waiter proceeded to have a bad attitude and told us to either hurry up and order food or make up our mind if we wanted to leave. Needless to say we LEFT! Apparently this was not an isolated event as I was later told that patrons regularly smoke in the patio dining area. With so many great food options in the SGV , China Bistro is not worth the health risk, the headache or the attitude! This is suppose to be a family restaurant NOT a bar, club. For goodness sake it was 6pm !

You guys are strongly ridiculous. We only order two simple entree. People that came after us ALL got their food, and ready to bounce. Our food isn't even here yet. I know the waiter forgot to put our orders in. Ridiculous!! We didn't even get an apology. This place sucks.

Picked up some some food for Dad's Birthday. Couldn't say No to the old Man , after all it is his birthday ....."Beef chow fun" was my choice for tonight. The beef was seasoned well which made it very flavorful but what I wondered was if the chef cooked it in a wok pan or in a soup pot filled with oily veggies (mostly large bits of onion). Good tasting chow, but not much fun with the oily onion stew. So why 4 stars you ask, well the rest of the food were spot on plus we received an ice tea with each order. Plus these brave workers are still in the front lines offering there food and services for their community. But I had to drop 1 star, look if I need to beg for basic condiments like soy sauce or hot Chile sauce that's gonna cost ya a star....
