Sandwich was okay, but one of the items I purchased had mold on the banana leaves.

This is where my mom would get banh mis for us when I was little and I just recently re-discovered them! The #1 Thit Nguoi or cold cuts is my version of THEE traditional banh mi. There's no where else you need to go. The fresh bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. When you order, you can choose from the football shape or the baguette shaped bread. Scratch pate, cold cuts, daikon, carrots, cilantro, and thinly shaved jalapeños. Service is straightforward and fast! Corner store vibes but Vietnamese :) Parking is also plentiful. Ugh my heart is so happy!!

This place is pretty good and it's basically your standard banh mi. I got the banh mi dac biet small one and it was flavorful.. even with a greater bread to meat ratio. I peeled off the bread from the sandwich and ate it individually for a few bites so I can truly taste the baguette flavor. It was sweet and delicious! Super soft so you know it's fresh. I'd get this again but next time try the Xiu mai one since everyone has mentioned it. Cash only location!!

Came in recently again as I was nearby. There's major construction done to the plaza and the parking lot is not accessible. I found parking on the street. The ladies are so nice and welcoming. I had the special cold cut sandwich. Their bread is so good. This time their meat to bread ratio was much better. Would come back again.

Really wanted to like it but it's probably more authentic than I prefer. Bread is fresh but after the initial crunch, very little substance. Grilled pork was a dark brown slab, think of rectangular spam. Got a baguette but it was the same consistency and turned hard after a few days. Tried it at the same time as the other one across the street, for comparison. I think we would prefer the other.

There baguette banh mi are so delicious! The baguette is super crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. I got the charbroiled pork and it was super tasty. I also tried their spring rolls which were tasty as well. This place is super affordable!

Love, love the house special banh mi. The flavors are so delicious from the pate to all the meats. The baguette is light and airy. I always pick up 3 sandwiches whenever I am in the area.

Cash only. The best banh mi according to Eater and it did not disappoint. The bread is freshly baked and the ingredients are fresh. The #1 comes in a roll while the #11 is a baguette. The #1 is classic while the #11 has less bread in each bite. It would be better if they layered the ingredients better, all the greens like cilantro and jalapenos were pushed to one side. The service is fast. The atmosphere is bare bones but inviting.

It's safe to say my favorite sandwich amongst many favorite sandwiches is a banh mi. I crave it more than any other and I impulsively buy one whenever I see a new place selling them (new to me, that is). So I've tried many many places and although they all have their pros and cons it's hard to find one that delivers on many levels. I heard good things about Hue Thai and have now been there several times and they truly hit on every level. They have the best Dac Biet I have had. They slice their cold cuts thicker than the average and the textures and bite are smooth and silky. At many places you have to chew through the head cheese but not here. But what really gives them the edge is the combination of those meats with their fantastic breads. They give two options, baguettes and French rolls. I usually order the baguettes and they are amazing. The way they cut and shape the bread to wrap around the contents is magical. You end up not biting through a mile of bread to get to the insides. But if you prefer it the other way you can get the French roll but in its own magical way, the depth of the bread isn't an issue like at other joints. I accidentally ordered one and at first it looked like I was about to crack the roof of my mouth but when I bit in, the bread was pillowy soft on the inside with a thin crisp outer layer, with just the right amount of chew. It was delicious as well but I still give the nod to the baguettes. Hue Thai is located in a sleepy shopping center and in the many visits I have made there I have not encountered a line of more than three people. I go on the slightly early or late times so hopefully they are doing much better during the rush hours. The ladies working the front counter and making the sandwiches are always very nice and super efficient so I'm usually in and out in a few minutes. If this place was about 20 minutes closer to me I would be there at least three times a week. So so good!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend. Was greeted by an Asian Vietnamese grandma. Staff was super friendly and area was kept clean. Parking was easy as the location is located in a parking lot with plenty of parking. This place is cash only so expect to have some cash on hand for this place. The banh mi is the star of the show. The breads are baked fresh daily! The French baguette is nice, airy, crispy and buttery. Love that they weren't greedy with the pickled daikon radish, carrots and jalapeño on the side. This place is definitely worth checking out!

So..this might be my favorite bahn mi place. A friend introduced this place to me earlier this year and legit, it's so good. We've had it fresh and next day and legit, so good. The combo of crunchy bread, soft meats, and picked veggies are on point. Plus, their butter/mayo yo bread ratio is on point. Their eggrolls and pate chaud are also good but the bahn mi is the stand out. Only con is that it's cash only.

One of the best banh mi location. I got a #11 and a ice coffee. A lot of parking space and this place is pretty hidden. Fresh bread all day!!! I found this location from EaterLA. 10/10 will come back again!!!!!!
