Great bbq sauce with the meal. The bbq chicken salad is so good. As good as Stonefire Grill. We had great service, the staff were all friendly, helpful and so courteous. The ribs were so tender, that they fell off the bone. Portions are large and can be family style. Plenty of parking. My first time there and will be my go to place.

The food at this location is not as good as it used to be. The 3 meat meal combo was tasteless - the pulled pork was cold, the baby back ribs had little taste. (My companion had the bbq chicken off this combo - I didn't have any of the chicken.) I like Lucille's, but this was an 'off night'.

Ordered a triple plate for $43. I couldn't believe that one person could eat all that. But I don't eat very much meat. Me and my son had the barbecue beef, ribs, brisket, and pork ribs. Staff is wearing country outfits. They are Mexican. I'm a real cowboy living on a ranch. I have my cowboy hat on. As usual great American, Texas barbecue place of a nostalgic experience in San Gabriel Valley.

Lucille's is not what it used to be food was just ok drinks are basic and sugary order a beer instead or a glass of wine since there is no mixing involved. Only came here because it was for a birthday and there ain't many choices in montebello. I've been to their brea location and chino / chino hills location even rancho .. all just ok.

On 4/25/2924 we arrived here party of two for lunch around 210pm We sat down as soon as we entered. But.. we needed to wait for the server at least 10 min before "Anisa" came by in a very low voice to say she would be with us in a few. She came back around 5 min later and asked our drink order did not even ask if we wanted appetizers. Took our drink orders and I said we are ready to order. I placed my order and my side was the mashed potatoes. I asked her for some gravy which I have done at many different locations even this one just a month ago. She told me they didn't have gravy. I said yes you do I get it all the time . Oh yes we have chicken gravy . We got our drinks .. received our food which is always great!! But we didn't see her for a long while .. I had to flag her down to get a refill on my ice tea. She brought us the hot towels when it was convenient for her because we're not even halfway down with our meal. The service continued to just go downhill. It's so disappointing to receive such bad service .. from a restaurant that's has good food. The restaurant was not busy at all.

This place does not accept any gift cards. What restaurant does not accept mastercard !! Maybe cuz mine had the sticker on it still and made them think it was not activated ? but they didn’t even try it !!The meat was a little dry and needed more of the barbecue.. whatever it is that comes with the tray is NOT barbecue.. it’s some water down thing .. a good note: they do serve ONE dark beer .. i guess that’s better than none lolBtw I had the two meat Dinner with the two sides. Don’t get the rib tips !! Too dry

So we ordered in house for take out. When we got home we were surprised that the portion size was less than half of what we get if we were to dine in. We paid over $60 for what seemed was a scoop full of pulled pork and half a cup of gumbo. This is the second time that something like this has happened at this Lucille's. Very disappointing. Waste of money.

Came here during lunch and surprised at how long the staff took. We got seated right away and it didn't take long to order. My co workers and I got some drinks which took a while to come out. Afterwards, we politely asked the waiter how long our food was going to take. They said any second which turned out to be 15 minutes later. The food was okay but I expected it to be better considering how long they took.
