The egg tart filling is very watery and has no egg flavor. The store's attitude is not very friendlyYou need to spend more than $20 to use a credit card, otherwise you can only use cash.

Yummy Portuguese egg tartTart is on the soft side, not the crispy layered style.I like both styles, so all good.I order a couple to four dozens every time I go thereThey are still hot some times and I just eat them right away.Pricing are getting higher and higher though

Date:09/2023*Finally tried their famous Portugese Egg Tart!(葡式蛋挞)Personally I would say it's just decent. The egg tart is served hot, not greasy, it has a slightly studier shells ( kinda like a mix of pastry puff & shortbread), but still crisp and flaky. The egg custard filling is not too sweet which is a plus but heavier on milky taste. Comparing to Jim's bakery- Jim's Portugese egg tart shell is soft and flaky, no heavy milky taste but overly sweet, just alright.* Taro puff pastries (芋头酥)Fresh, soft puff pastry, not greasy and not overly sweet taro filling. No artificial flavors! If comparing to Jim's Bakery, i think both are equally good, the only tiny difference is Phu's Bakery taro pastries is softer than Jim's Bakery. *Steamed BBQ pork bun(蒸叉烧包)-$1.80Soft bun and semi sweet savory bbq pork filling(less sweet than average steamed bbq pork bun) , no weird pork taste. Decent. Con: less filling not fluffy enough.*Mooncakes- Durian flavors ($5.50)Kinda taste artificial and sweet, not recommended.Only front door open for odering and it's easy! Just order to the lady( menu is posted on their front window), pay and wait, then she will hand you the order. Extra containers will be charged.Overall it's a decent Asian bakery with fresh baked goods daily and quick service. Definitely will be coming back for more!

I tried egg tart, wife pie, and taro cake. Egg tart was pretty good. But I think Jim's bakery a lot better. Wife pie was stale and bad. Really bad. I tossed. I bought two. Two of them tasted same bad. It has a smell of old oil. Taro cake was okay. Lack of sweetness for I think sweets should have certain sweet level and I make taro cake myself so I think it really was just okay.

My parents brought me some Portuguese egg tarts from this shop and they are delicious! They came hot and fresh from the oven, very flaky, not too sweet, and super soft custard. I think it's some of the best I've had and I've also visited Macau to try some Portuguese tarts there : )Would recommend!

Service: ok. The lady taking my order just asked what I wanted n I got my order hot within a few minutues. Don't expect friendliness or amazing service though. Food: the 4 stars are for the egg tarts! Bought a dozen of them. The egg tart filling was creamy and the right amount of sweetness. The tart was super flaky! Each egg tart was $1.65 not including tax. The dozen cost about $22. Credit card purchase is allowed for order over $20..Parking: a few parking spots available on a Sat around 1pm.

The egg tarts are really good.

Egg Tars are delicious over here however customers have to line up outside the store to order which is not nice. I wont come back here unless the store open the door to welcome guests. Remember that Covid19 is controllable.I rate this store 2 stars because I think the guests deserved better treatment.

Delicious bakery in an unassuming strip mall. Their egg tarts are a hit. Dare I say that their egg tarts are just as good as the famous Golden Gate Bakery in San Francisco?! I visited Phu's about a month ago on a Saturday morning, got there around opening time and by the time I left, a small line formed. Unfortunately, you can't go inside the bakery. You tell the staff what you want and they'll get it for you. Since I don't know what they sell, I ended up buying 6 egg tarts and 2 taro balls (wrapped in plastic). The egg tarts came straight from the oven as they were hot in the box and I ate one immediately as I got into the car. Their crispy/flaky crust is what I enjoy most about their egg tarts. The taro balls were good too as they weren't too sweet.Prices aren't really posted any where (or I didn't see it) so you may need to "trust" their judgment or ask for clarification. I was charged $1.75 each for the egg tarts and the taro balls were $2.50 each based on the total. Bring cash as I'm unclear if they accept credit cards (info not posted).Easy parking early in the morning, not sure during peak hours. I'll be back again soon to get my egg tart and taro fix.#21/2023
