Affordable & delicious. You'd have to wipe the tables down before sitting because it gets crowded, hence messy. Got the lobster roll at the sushi place near the entrance. Sweet, delicious, & juicy. Had a bite of the chinese chow mein in the food court, which is a great bang for your buck but could be a little juicier & sweeter. Great for friends with diverse taste.

I loved going here, they keep the area pretty clean and they have different stalls with different foods. One of my favorites had baos and Jianbing. Most people that were there were elders eating there and a few families would come and go.

My Dad and Mom used to go to the food court area inside next to the Great Wall (GW) Supermarket at The Square shopping center all the time because the food vendors offer cheap eats and customers don't have to pay tip unless they want to pay tip to the specific food vendor (if they choose). My Dad is no longer with us... he's been gone for almost 5 years now... miss you dearly and love you always Dad! Now I have taken over my Dad's place. I bring my Mom here all the time usually on Saturdays unless we have a prior arrangement with my brothers to eat elsewhere in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) food galore hub LOL. Hey, my parents used to bring my 3 younger brothers and I out to SGV every weekend since the early 1980's until I started high school and that's when I went out with my parents less and less. We would ride in the back of my Dad's delivery truck (he had a furniture business)... man, those were the good fun old days! Now it's just my Mom and I in a Toyota Prius in the 21st century LOL! At the food court, there's actually a great variety of different ethnic foods. Here are my favorites... 1. For Vietnamese foods, Nuoc Mia Vien Dong is a wonderful choice... they offer 1 or 2 or 3 items plates for very reasonable prices and portions are huge! 2. For Chinese foods, Golden Bull Noodle is my go-to. They have the best and I mean BEST Hainan Chicken Rice... freshest and moistest chicken you'll ever eat! My Mom and I can eat this every weekend and not get bored of it... and we have done so on many occasions LOL. Black Pepper Beef or Chicken stir fry with thick egg noodles is excellent, too. 3. For Hong Kong Style Chinese foods, Harlem's Kitchen is your spot! Delicious wonton or dumpling egg noodle soup, beef chow fun, soy sauce chow mein, thousand egg pork/seafood congee, etc... you name it! They are always busy... that's a very good sign! 4. For Thai foods, your only choice is New Thai Star and that's all you need... just one good one! Pad See Ew Fried Tofu or Shrimp, Pad Woon Sen Seafood, Pad Thai Chicken, and Green Papaya Salad are my go-to dishes. Just great tasting foods all around. They have a very good Spicy Beef Bowl, but I don't eat beef anymore, but maybe I can ask them to replace it with seafood next time... we'll see. 5. For Vietnamese desserts and drinks, Hien Khanh is your gal! Their egg flan is the best of the best egg flan I have ever eaten in my life... so smooth and just perfect in texture & taste. Che Ba Mau has the freshest coconut milk plus your choice of up to 5 toppings. No one beats them in this category of desserts and drinks in SGV! They take home the trophy every time! Actually, you can't go wrong with any of the food vendors at this food court. I've tried them all... there are a few I prefer (above) over others (not mentioned above). Nevertheless, they are all good. It all boils down to what you want to eat at that moment... you have choices! Be grateful that you do. Happy Choosing! Besides the food court, I have shopped at the GW Supermarket for selective items. It's not my go-to supermarket at SGV, but it comes in handy whenever I need something quick and don't want to drive to San Gabriel Superstore. They also have shops inside and outside. I haven't checked out all their shops. Overall, it's a great shopping center. Parking can be a challenge though. They are always busy. Just be patient. We'll see you here next weekend LOL. Happy Shopping and Eating!

Used to be The Square Supermarket; now it's great wall. Lots of cheap clothing and kid's toys in the small shops next to the supermarket. The food court is nothing to sneeze at; got some of the cheapest and best foods and viet desserts in sgv. Used to go here alot after work for wonton noodles. Nothing has changed after 4 years.

Good place to go to but sometimes crowded and packed including their parking lot there. Even though there are sometimes homeless people loitering around there too. Like this one guy (who carries his bag, listens to his music) with no mask always shows up there sometimes, as well as a Vietnamese lady (who has a homeless look and expression) with no mask always shows up there everyday. There were about 3 securities who are the same ones that guard both inside the market and outside the plaza there, but doesn't do anything about them at all like kicking them out from the market and plaza there. Need to hire better securities who can handle their job and enforce both the market and plaza right.

Although this food court has less than a dozen of restaurants, which offer authentic Asian food and drinks, there is always a crowd during lunch and dinner hours. Hardy any of the menu item is listed in English, yet all are posted with a picture. The price is very very reasonable, and the food are good in general because the competition among the shops is very high. So many shop had opened and closed due to the picky customers.Problems:The dining area: the janitors are very busy to keep the dining tables, the floor and the bathrooms clean. The same janitors !!The management should replace the large numbers of the broken mental chairs ASAP. These cheap flimsy chairs make noises, do not support weights, and damage your clothing as well.

For the past four years, I have been coming to The Square Shopping Center to buy Asian groceries at the supermarket and to have a bite at the Food Court. The supermarket carries a wide range of Asian grocery items, including fresh vegetables, meats (pork, chicken, and beef), sauces, canned food, as well as Asian dried foods. At the food court, there are several Asian fast food stands (I like to call them holes in the wall) serving Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese food. I have tried several stands and the food is decent, and moderately priced. I visit The Square Shopping Center every other week around 2:00 p.m. Parking at the time is plentiful and the area is less crowded. Be aware the supermarket accepts cash as well as credit cards, but the stands accept only cash! The supermarket is open until 9:00 p.m. and most of the food stand are open until 8:30 p.m. Overall a 4 1/2 stars for The Square Shopping Center!
