For cheese steaks, this is the only place I to go locally. I've tried the others, and it wasn't worth it. Generally get just steak and onions with American cheese as im not a provolone fan. The American is just too creamy to pass on.

Wife and I got food poisoning after eating from this place, cheesesteak was really good tho and the king of philly is massive. Can be easily split between 2 people.

I went here a few months ago, with mixed feelings. It was early, so the place was empty. I went to the counter to order; the person at the register waited for me to engage instead of "welcome..." or "maybe take your order?" I ordered the Mo Town (a standard Philly with added mushrooms), my wife the standard Philly, and we ordered the fries and rings. I was disappointed right away to see a guy come from the back, reach into a freezer, and pull out pre portioned frozen blocks of steak, and throw them on the griddle. If you know your clientele and have proper projections for sales, you should have fresh, even slice it yourself. It'll draw more customers. Once I got the order, I immediately tried the fries and rings. They were fresh, hot, well seasoned, and tasty. No complaints. I then hit the sandwich. It was hot, melty cheese, good peppers, onions, and mushrooms, but the meat was overcooked and dry. The roll was pretty boring. You need to do fresh to get it right when it come to a steak sammie. Would I go back, sure, but I'm not going to drive out of my way to get there. If you're in the neighborhood and want a Philly, it'll fill the bill. But it's nothing to write home about.

This place has been amazing for years. I used to go to the one on Lakeshore in Oakland and the one on University in Berkeley pretty regular back in the day. It's nice to see it's here in the Sacramento area. Got the king cheesesteak with cheese steak fries (next time I'll get the curly fries instead) and a soda, delicious.

SO GLAD I found this place! Discovered it in Berkeley years ago. Found another in Folsom, but they then both shut down & I thought the chain was gone! ??YAAAYYY! BEST CHEESESTEAKS EVER!!!!

Employees physically mangled my takeout sandwich and didn’t salt my fries. I believe both were intentional since it has never happened here before. I feel very disrespected. Used to eat here all the time, but I’m done. Will not come back to this place, and I will quit recommending it to friends.

I was super hungry. My wife had given birth the day before and this place is very close to the hospital. I loved it because I haven't had their food since I moved from Oakland. I live 30 minutes away from this particular location though. To find their shop was great. Maybe if I franchise one, I could have them whenever I wanted.
