The happy hour prices are real good. However, the service was HORRIBLE. Make sure you check your bill. My friend and I asked the server to split the bill evenly. We both gave our credit cards and we each received our bills to sign. When I got home and checked my account I noticed that the server ran both checks on my credit card. I give this place a minus 5 stars rating. If you want good food and good service, go to the original restaurant The Place that is 3 doors down from this restaurant

This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise in downtown Roseville. You enter a candy store with a password and then are led into a bar area where there was a guitar player. Fun! Up to the second level, much quieter, and our meal began. The Caesar Salad and Truffle Fries were excellent. The Ponzu Salmon was 5 stars, and our friend liked his Frutta di Mare. The pork chop was thick and cooked to perfection, and the tomato soup topped with a piece of sourdough and covered with cheese was delicious. We had a bottle of Red Schooner (Caymus/Wagner) Voyage 10 Mendoza NV, Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina, really delicious. A great experience, we will go back! Our server, Amanda, was pleasant and professional.

Took my wife out for a date night. Friday night was prime rib night. The meat was amazing. My wife got the filet mignon, I got the prime rib. The meat was cooked perfectly. The sides were amazing, the meatball appetizer was out of this world good. Overall the service and food was world class good. The atmosphere definitely made this place a 10 out of 10 starts. The chefs were on point. Our server was super friendly and very attentive. I love the way they bring the receipt at the end of the meal in a cigar box.Definitely get a reservation and we will definitely be back.

Reflecting on a recent dining experience at a once-admired restaurant leaves me with a mix of emotions. The establishment, which initially captured my heart and palate with its remarkable Umami steak and delectable wasabi oysters, offered an unforgettable first visit. The quaint charm of entering with a unique pass code and the exclusive journey to a private dining area upstairs added to the allure, making the experience worth the indulgence for my wife and me.However, a subsequent visit intended to celebrate a significant family milestone—my father's 60th birthday—revealed a different facet of the restaurant. Despite meticulous planning, including advanced reservations and a reservation fee, our anticipation was met with disappointment. Our party was redirected to the lounge, a space accessible without reservations, due to an unavailable table upstairs, which contradicted the exclusivity and personal attention we expected. The lounge, while a part of the establishment, lacked the sophistication and ambiance we desired for such a momentous occasion. The indifference exhibited by the staff, coupled with the absence of a managerial presence to address our concerns, highlighted a disregard for customer satisfaction and reservation commitments. This experience, starkly contrasting our initial visit, has led to a reevaluation of my endorsement of this restaurant. While the culinary offerings may remain commendable, the inconsistency in service and complete disregard for reservations now casts a shadow over the establishment. The decision to prioritize a large event over individual reservations raises questions about the restaurant's values and customer service ethos. In light of this, our evening concluded at Monk's Cellar, an establishment across the street from Daniello's, that welcomed us with open arms and exemplary service, ensuring the celebration remained joyful. This turn of events serves as a poignant reminder that the essence of fine dining extends beyond the plate, encompassing respect, reliability, and genuine hospitality.

A restaurant that requires a deposit of 25 dollars per person but when you arrive they have filled your table and have no where to seat you on your birthday! What a waste of my 60th birthday. Don’t let this happen to you go somewhere else.

DO NOT COUNT ON THIS HORRIBLE PLACE for a special occasion!!! Who knows if their food is good or bad? I don't, because THEY GAVE OUR RESERVED TABLE AWAY ON MY HUSBAND'S 60th BIRTHDAY!! Obviously they only care about profits and NOT PEOPLE! I reserved two weeks in advance for this special evening. Friends and family Ubered in. They let us go through the "secret" door and into the bar, where they offered to let us eat in the noisy bar, explaining that a party of 50 was taking up the entire dining room, where we had reserved a table! WE WERE IN SHOCK! And while we were processing this unwelcome news, they let our party sit in the bar and NO ONE EVEN OFFERED TO TAKE OUR DRINK ORDERS while we tried to decide what to do! After about 30 minutes, a waitress informed us that they had refunded the deposit that THEY REQUIRED TO GUARANTEE OUR SEATS! In essence, they kicked us to the curb on my husband's birthday because they had a larger group that they had allowed to take over the whole place! UNBELIEVABLE! This was unethical--especially considering the contractual agreement that is evident when a business requires a pre-paid deposit to guarantee seating! Never have I ever been SO APPALLED! Don't give this place your money! YOUR RESERVATION (Contract) IS MEANINGLESS to them! You can't trust the management of this place to do the right thing!

The food was really good. The service great. However, it is waayyy over priced. They charged us 8.00 for ICE! Terrible. Dinner for 2 with 2 drinks each, 375.00 Silly.

We go to a lot of places because my guy is a musician. This is top 5 for sure! I love the drinks, the staff, the vibe, the food… honestly I came here with no expectations and even if I did, they would have been exceeded. We will be back here for a date night soon! Just go and support this awesome spot!

I really feel like this place was the tale of 2 halves. Enter the downstairs bar....very intriguing ambiance with an extensive mixed drinks list. The taste and quality were where they should be. Average cost is roughly about $20 a drink....yes maybe a bit on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you're paying for. Before we knew it, our table was ready for dining. We migrated upstairs and that's where the magic vanished quicker than Houdini pulling his trademark disappearing act. Bad service, sharing is NOT allowed, they added a 20% gratuity for just my wife and I, and the tomahawk ribeye (the entire reason why we chose this restaurant) carried an $80 surcharge on top of the already over $100 price point. $200 for a cut of steak is insane! After the train wreck was in full swing, the manager stopped by and we expressed our disappointment with our experience...to which he replied with "oh you should have brought this to my attention,I would have made this right". He spoke a good one but didn't deliver on that promise. I was not impressed. My recommendation is simple....stay downstairs and drink the night away. Go upstairs and it's gonna be a bad time!
