A perfect dinner date for our anniversary! Quaint and fun with attentive staff. I loved ordering off of the QR code and having food 'on demand.’ Within 5 to 10 minutes each item we ordered was delivered. The drinks were incredible and the huge variety of tacos made for a wonderful evening. Thanks for the great date!

Such good food at reasonable prices. Nice outdoor seating area with either normal table service or a QR code to order.

The food is great - but felt rushed. Had a reservation for 12:30, arrived and sat a little early. Less than 90 minutes we get a “I’m just the messenger but we have another reservation for this table”.C’mon. We had a $110+ tab between food and drinks and can’t have 90 minutes without being pressured to vacate.

I really liked this place until they try to kick you out after 60 mins. Ordered a second round of cocktails and they server comes with a message (probably management) that the table is needed for another party. If we’re spending money on alcohol, we are giving you more money than the average customer. Don’t think we’re just sitting at the table not buying anything.

Always a great time! I took my vegan friend for lunch, and she LOVED it. She had the Tofu, mushroom and avocado explosion tacos. I had octopus, mushroom and avo explosion. Left fat and happy. We made a reservation, so everything was quick and easy.

Hidden gem of a restaurant. Delicious array of tacos - including vegetarian tacos. ?Superb margaritas as well. My personal favorite was the Prickly Pear.Since discovering, Nixtaco has easily become my new pit stop for the drive between Tahoe and the Bay Area. Well priced, delicious and quick.

Chips were stale, the tacos all were good but lacked some “punch” (the salsa we added helped), the dessert was like a plain chip with sugar and caramel on it, the napkins were like bathroom paper towels, and the seating hostess did not explain how we would need to order and pay for everything ourselves on our phones rather than having a waitress serve us. The food was still overall yummy, but we just had extra high expectations because of the Michelin star it had. The best part was the salsa-incredible!

I was super excited to finally try this place and I wish I could keep that excitement. We sat on the patio but did not realize it is on a very busy street, not peaceful at all. Furthermore, we had to look at the menu and PAY for our food on our phones, making it feel more like take out than dining in. We had to flag someone down to ask question and of course they asked for 18 % tip at the end on our phones!!We order Queso Fundido which at every other authentic Mexican restaurant comes standard with chorizo. THIS DID NOT and they charged an extra 4.50 for chorizo. When it came out, there was no flavor and the cheese hardened quickly. We also ordered 5 different tacos, the potato taco was hella dry (taco bell is better lol) The pork belly (the one they are known for) the meat was dry covered with sweet sauce. not sure if the good pit master was off or if they have one. The tacos were very busy with sauce, too much garnish, taking away from any authentic Mexican flavor that they were trying to achieve.Very "american" mexican food which makes sense because of its location and clients it has to cater to. Disappointed especially at 6-8 dollars a taco. If you are looking for authentic flavorful food save yourself $70 (5 tacos, 1 drink, queso fundido) and try somewhere closer to city of sacramento.

Made a reservation for lunch time on a Saturday. One couple walked in ahead of my group and was walked to their table. We were asked if we would prefer to use the QR code menu at the table and I thought ‘sure why not I’m comfortable using my phone’ we were then told to scan the QR code at the table to order and the host pointed at our table told us to take a seat and she will bring chips and salsa.thought it felt a bit off since the couple before us literally got walked to their table. If you choose to use your phone for a menu know that you will be using that to order and will not see a waiter unless they bring you food. I had to flag employees down to ask questions about the menu. But no one checked on us at all. Then when checking out (on the phone) asked to tip minimum 18% HAHAAHA. I tipped a little hoping it went only go to the busser and bartender because there was absolutely no waiter that helped. It felt very impersonal and they weren’t even busy! And the food was very overpriced for okay flavor. Also you have to add chorizo an additional $4.50 to the queso fundido. There was some confusion about that at multiple tables.

We had six or seven different tacos, these taco options are very exciting and tasty! We picked up our food so we don't have experience about the restaurant itself but patio looked cute even though I don't know how I would feel sitting on side of that particular street (maybe need to be drunk). We got our order on time and all the service worked out great. We will go again but it is not like a taqueria prices so cannot do it every day.

My family loves Nixtaco. We tell all of our friends about this place. The atmosphere is festive, the staff treat their customers like family, and the food is amazing. We love the margaritas too! Thank you Nix for all you do to bring smiles to the people that eat there.
