“Cute little spot that I've been wanting to try for awhile now. It's nice to see more establishments in west Roseville. So I've been looking for a go-to sushi spot for awhile now that serves good fresh sushi (we go to mikuni often but it is pricey for a simple regular sushi fix). Well, I've finally found it! This place is fresh, delicious, and down the street from me. We got the Benjamin roll and the spicy edamame and they are sooo good. Service was great and friendly. Never felt rushed or ignored. “Bonsai Japanese Cuisine is my favorite spot in the area for chicken katsu curry! The dish is consistently delicious with a heaping portion of crispy chicken. Each visit, I'm impressed by the quality and quantity of food served. The flavors are delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the enjoyable dining experience. If you're craving Japanese food done right, Bonsai is the place to go. I would highly recommend it!“

“This is a fun place to always watch them prepare your food. The chefs are good and the weight staff is a tentative. It's not knock down delicious but very decent.It's a pretty expensive place.The tips are built in for large parties which is typically why they get are high. The floors could be cleaned a little bit better and the countertops since a lot of the prepared dishes are more greasy thus it's harder to keep the surfaces as clean.Vegetarian options: If you have a lot of restrictions you probably ought to restrict yourself and stay home and watch CNN. Otherwise you can have soup and rice here.Dietary restrictions: You can stay home and have rice cakes and tofu if you don't want to go out and have fried food prepared in front of you.Parking: Hobby lobby and other busy stores are in this lot so it's hard to park most of the time.“

“My wife and I always order the sashimi platter. The seafood is always so fresh. The rolls we had were also wonderful. The food has always been great. I want to give huge props to our server, Nomi! We had the COURSE A AYCE option ($30/person) and the variety of foods and selection of sushi was overwhelming (in a good way). The fish was fresh and tasty. Shrimp and veggie tempura was great.Service was also top notch. Our server came by often to check-in and take additional orders and food came out incredibly quickly. Will definitely be back.“

“The Boneless Yangyum spicy Chicken was very tasty and they give you a big portion for the price. The entree also comes with rice and about six small side dishes. Their Korean menu looks very interesting and will keep me coming back to try new dishes. You should check this place out.“

I did not expect them to be so darn great!I would give it 5 stars but given the service I got with the waitress that took our order, definitely not. She was very rude and she got annoyed when my dad asked for the bento box so she gave him the menu for side orders and just left without taking the rest of our orders and not saying anything. Then it took about 20 minutes for her to come back and took everyone else’s orders that came in after us. I didn’t catch her name since no one was wearing a name tag.So that’s why I’m giving it only 4 stars. I will return one day and bring my husband and hopefully I can give it 5 stars on my next visit.Kid-friendliness: They gave my daughter a booster seat upon request“

“We got there around 5:45 on a Saturday in the place was really busy. We had about a half hour wait for a table but it turned out to be worth it. The food was excellent and so was the service. The prices were quite reasonable. We will definitely be going back.“

“We ate at their Eureka location. Busy Friday night, waited 40 minutes for a table. When this place gets busy, it's loud. They could use additional soft materials or sound absorbing panels. Once we were seated (party of 7) service was good. Ordered a number of platters, sashimi appetizers, hamachi collars, and extra pickled wasabi. Fish is always fresh and presentation appetizing.“

“We found it to be a very quaint restaurant with a good atmosphere and a well and reasonably priced menu. There is a plenty fenestration due to corner location. Service was prompt. The only thing that caught me by surprise is that if you use a credit card, it's an additional 4% of your total fee. And that's after tax. The notice is located at the end of every table. I guess we're going to have to get used to that, thanks to someone making decisions for everybody else. Glad we had cash and I'm going to have to carry more apparently. I think it takes away from the employees receiving the preferred tip rather than what could be or can be afforded. I enjoyed the OMG sushi roll. It was really good. There are many sushi restaurants in that area like Mikuni's which is said to be the best. We have been there recently and it's just not. It is still one of the top sushi restaurants nearby.“

“Umi Sushi has an affordable all you can eat menu with a HUGR VATIETY of different kinds of sushi.The baked mussels and friend oysters were a first for me, and were impressively delicious.Being a sushi lover, I often am disspointed with the quality of fish served for the all you can eat menu. They do not over rice their Nigeria, and the fish is perfect.I have ONLY one complaint, and it doesn't downgrade this restaurant below 5 stars for me. What is with restaurants that don't have fountain beverages? Spring for the machine, and your customers will thank you with tips. Make me pay for a 2nd diet coke and it's coming off your tip.“

“I was at a nearby hotel for work and searched for sushi nearby. Based on menu options and reviews, I came to Sushi Kuma and it was bomb! The fish was super fresh, perfect sauces, and everything melted in my mouth. When I arrived, I was the only one there because it was later in the evening. The service was friendly and hospitable. I’m so thankful they stayed open to their stated hours so I could enjoy this place. I’ll be back.“

“I really like this place. But it really depends on what you get. The servings are huge and service is great. The sesame chicken is a bust. The teriyaki chicken is ok. The pork noodle bowl is really the golden ticket and we come here weekly for it. The tempura is also clutch. Any bad reviews are because the person just didn’t order the right thing. We have had some inconsistency with the pork noodle bowl which we have chalked up to different cooks. But other than that it’s pretty tasty.“

“I loved the idea of multiple different business being joined together in one location with one kitchen. Easy to order and mix and match food from different cuisines. They have it all. The Sushirrito was ok. I got the Salmon one and I did not expect the salmon to be cooked. The crab roll was very refreshing though. All the sauces are super delicious. Plenty of parking and outside and inside seating areas. Gives out more of a fast food vibe.“

They are so very generous with the sashimi - thick cut and tons of variety! Not expensive either for what you get. I’m drooling thinking about it now.The rolls are also very good. Our faves are the white Ferrari and who’s your daddy. What else… there’s a sashimi special called screaming orgasm that is delectable.“
