Food portion is very small compared to other similar restaurants. Meat/fish fillet quantities are small... LOTS of peppers. Won't be coming again. Not worth the money.

Yummy. Mushroom vermicelli, lamb spicy flavor and fried milk! I like this Chinese restaurant. Not too spicy. It taste really good. They have fried milk. It is so good and special. Just kinda expensive 1.99 each roll of fried milk. But it is worth trying it. I Recommend it.

We are from Hunan and this place has super authentic food from that region. So excited to get that familiar taste. Fast and accurate service!

This restaraunt is in a very interesting plaza, surrounded by various Asian restaraunts that all open to a middle quad area decorated to be a place of socialising. Like the kind of place you would imagine asian grannies dancing at night and children playing around. Likewise, the outdoor dining area is one of the most cutely decorated areas I've seen. Lots of parking in the plaza! The lady who greeted was super nice and got us situated quickly as there wasn't that many customers. The dishes are pretty authentic but also seek to have the same style of cilantro and chili. Nonetheless the spice and flavor is very fresh and must be eaten with lots of rice! The taste is relatively authentic compared to americanized Chinese restaraunts and can for sure be spicy. I was most surprised by the fried milk, since it was something I've never tried and very excited to have had it as a check in freebie. Sort of like a chewy custard that was slightly sweet, reminiscent of the deep fried oil it was quite a treat and I would recommend getting one just to try with your table mates Paying was super easy, and overall eating had a pleasant vibe underneath the string lights open courtyard vibes.

The plaza was pretty empty and quiet when I came here on a weekend, which was quite the contrast when I last came here pre-covid! Outdoor seating is available and disposable utensils were given. We ordered the house spicy stew fish fillet, enoki mushroom vermicelli, and winter melon clam soup. All the dishes were very flavorful and delicious! The fish was my favorite since it was spicy but not overwhelmingly so. The vermicelli could've use some extra ingredients, IMO but it was tasty overall. Loved the soup which helped keep me warm despite the chilly weather. Definitely would come back again! Parking was easy since there is a big lot.

Located in a strip mall that has open middle courtyard. It was a nice break to be able to eat outside and enjoy outdoor seating. The lamb cumin was good and served in a sizzling plate. The chicken had a very good flavor. Our other order, 5 ingredients, we did not like it. It was too salty. We ordered everything mild spicy. We were able to try the Fried milk (complimentary), it was crunchy outside, like tempura and soft jelly like inside.Tip: sign in on yelp. You will get a free drink OR fried milk dessert.

They got a fire lunch special, ask for a mild or it's just as hot leaving this earth. You get a free green tea too!

Agree with the other comment on the wattress attitude. I went there by myself on sneakers and weekend wear. The waitress there was very impatient and barely sent my orders until 30 minutes or more wait. The waitress seems to be discriminating single women and made me very uncomfortable. However, I rated this place 4 star for its dishes. it's authentic hunan dishes. And it's forcing me to write tips at least for 15% and charged me 2% extra transaction fees coz i used alipay. In general, this business needs to train it's waitresses better.

Authentic Hunan restaurant! My fav's are: House special cauliflower bowl House special 3 in 1 bowl Fried egg with chili House special fried black rice Sliced lamb in gold soup Try their fired black rice if you never had one before! My secret menu is House special chicken pot, soooooo goooooood! I always ask for extra spicy, and believe me that's different with Sichuan mala style, a totally different spiciness. Good to have one when you catch a cold lol.

I had two food deliveries from Chili House when I was in Rowland Heights and I really like their Griddle Pork Intestines and the eggplant with preserved eggs. Super oily and spicy! Just the authentic taste from Sichuan!!!

This place has amazing dishes that I've never actually came across before! Their purple sticky rice flambé was so unique!! They light it up when they bring it out for you and the taste was delicious . . The classics like the chicken and pork belly was also yummy - super tender and flavorful . . Also have you ever heard of deep fried eggs blew my mind - you gotta try this and last but not least I had deep fried milk for the first time too!! So much unique Chinese dishes over here you've gotta try!
