Zack was a great server. I haven't received such great service in a while. He anticipated what I was going to need to accompany my meal and topped off my tea, even before I could ask. When I complimented him on a great job, he simply replied, " I'd like to receive the same treatment when I eat out!" Zack is an asset. He will do great things for Ajisen.P.S. Food was good too.

Used to come here all the time, but prices have become a bit ridiculous, 2 ramen bowls and 2 drinks with 15% tip came out to 53$ definitely a once every couple of months spot now unfortunately.

The noodles were the star of the meal--- they were fresh, chewy, almost crunchy in texture. Unfortunately, my BBQ Pork was dry, like it's been a few days sitting in the refrigerator. The soup was a bit salty for my taste.Parking: Enter lot from Colima going west or Fullerton road going south.

Best ramen around, I make the drive if I am looking for 10/10. Thick, flavorful broth. Try the BBQ Pork ramen with a side of volcano sauce, you will not regret it. The sushi is pretty good too, they only have california rolls here. The Takoyaki and the fried Tofu sides are both amazing.

Ajisen Ramen has been one of the most anticipated ramen spots to try on my hitlist for awhile. And with a location right in the heart of Rowland Heights, I was curious whether Ajisen's take on a bowl of ramen was similar to other places I've tried in the area. With this excitement in mind, I ended up dropping by on a Sunday night around 8:30PM right before the restaurant's closing time.Initially, I chose to grab a bowl at Ajisen quite late because many reviews here on Yelp have talked about the monstrous parking situation and long wait times for a table. But upon entering the restaurant, there were little to no people inside! This expedited the process in all of the best ways as I was able to get my bowl in 10 minutes from the moment I sat down. Though the staff were attentive and fast with service, the mobile ordering system took longer due to the large selection of items, lack of pictures, and confusing payment input system. Choosing quickly to eat and leave before the restaurant closed, I settled on a Premium Pork Ramen which was $16.95 at the time of this review.Upon receiving the bowl, I was happy to see that it was quite large and filled very close to the top. But despite this, the dish did lack a tad when looking at quantity. Inside the bowl, the thinly sliced premium pork made up about 20% of the dish, the noodles made up about 40%, and the broth took up the remaining 40%. In fact, there were so many noodles to the point where I subconsciously was rationing the pork throughout the meal. After consuming the bowl, I left the restaurant feeling only filled, not full. Looking at the price, 17 dollars leans on the more pricey side for a bowl of ramen in the Rowland Heights area. And looking at the amount of food given compared to the price tag, I'd argue price to portion was just okay. The quality of the food was definitely there in all aspects of the bowl despite the lack of portion. For one, the noodles were thick and had a perfect amount of chew to them. They tasted of a subtle egg flavor which helped establish a savory baseline for the dish. The broth achieved a similar savory and umami flavor by combining the pork-based stock, a subtle miso powder, and what tasted like black garlic oil. And for last, the thinly sliced pork both added a creamy fatty flavor and a smokey charred flavor to the bowl. Combined together with the broth, everything tasted elevated and lighter on the mouth in result. The flavor was very impressive; definitely one of the best bowls of ramen I've had in the Greater LA area!Ajisen definitely serves up a hearty bowl of ramen. And with that, I would for sure be happy to return and try more of their different specialty items. But for this experience at the Rowland Heights location, I'd argue the Premium Pork Ramen deserves a solid 4 stars out of 5. Though there was nothing wrong with the taste of the food, the lack of pork in this particular bowl made it harder to justify from a price to portion standpoint. On the other hand though, Ajisen offers many different bowls of ramen, most giving just as much quantity if not more at a lower price point of 14-5 dollars. In all, Ajisen Ramen lives up to its historic origins and will definitely be earning a spot among ramen spots I frequent. Great flavors, Ajisen!

Extremely terrible. I love this place I've eaten there multiple times but after todays experience never again. Nor would I recommend this place. I called for take out. I ordered ABC ramen, Volcano ramen, California roll. No drinks, no modifications no add ons just simply extra hot sauce on the side. He emphasized how they close at 230 pm and to pick up before than. I arrived 15 mins after I placed the order. I had to wait for any help or greeting at the front for almost 10 minutes, his attitude continued to be extremely unprofessional as I paid for my takeout. To review my receipt afterwards and see how I've been ridiculously over charged. ABC ramen - menu states $11.25 as I just saw on yelp via picture below I WAS CHARGED $17.45 volcano ramen - $8.45 as per yelp and I was CHARGER $15.75California roll - $7.05 I was charged $10.45I've never had a problem With there prices so I didn't check until I got home total paying 47.80Now the food, wow is it beyond disappointment. The soup was not even filled up all the way it looked and poured so little into the ramen. Everything looked like it was tossed in by handMy California roll looked old, wet, soggy, the wasabi, soy sauce and ginger were throw into the corner looking very unappealing. Looked worst than grocery store bought sushi to be honest The portions looked so small, plated terribly and extremely disappointing. And of course no hot sauce. I immediately called Evan to share my concerns and he talked down to me and informed me he did not make my food and it wasn't his problem. And did not even offer to check the prices for me or fix the matter: I asked for the managers number and waiting for a call back. For any food and beverage service this is ridiculous.

It has been a while since I've been here and honestly things haven't changed. Their ramen is still really good and the service there was very quick too! I really liked the pork slices because there were so many and cooked so nicely :0Lowkey I thought the egg looked weird but the taste was wayy better than how it looked. Its such a nice play to grab lunch and I found there was a lot of parking outside and the parking garage!
