After shopping around at Home Depot to get a few things the wife and I decided on take out from one of our favorite spots Leung Kee but they were closed on Saturday night? So the wife decided on checking out the Labin Court area for some grub. It was later than we normally eat like around 6:30p Yeah I'm old! The parking was to be expected at that time of day packed not so good if you have an SUV just don't forget your can opener so you can get out! We tried two other restaurants but the lines were too long so we went across the court to the Beijing Restaurant. We were both kinda hungry, and seeing only a few people seated I reluctantly agreed to dine in instead of take out. We were seated at a corner table way in the back which was next to the bathroom. Not too much of a deal breaker for me but the first red flag after we were seated was we were given paper menus that are usually given to people who order out. What happened to the the usual sticky, large than they need to be plastic trifold menus w pictures?? I didn't care to order so the wife ordered Kung Pao chicken and pan seared green beans and some white rice, simple right? 2nd red flag! The order came pretty quick but what was really sad to see it served on foil lined paper plates with one plastic serving fork for everything! Call me spoiled but what happened to those cheapo plain white plastic plates they normal use? Perhaps they got rid of the dishwasher to save money so they just use paper plates instead? It felt like we were at a picnic at Schbarum Park. Foil lined Paper plates at a sit down restaurant! That was definitely a first for me. Third red flag, food was nothing to write home about. I don't want to sound mean but Panda Express does better at Kung Pao chicken. The sauce tasted like it came from a jar, just cornstarch and sugar. I'm Asian so I know my rice. I know what white rice should look like and know what it looks like when it's been in a rice warmer for more than a day! Our server never checked on us to see if we needed anything like water?? Had to flag them down to get the check. Overall not impressed, can't say I'll be back anytime soon. I know things have been hard on all of us and competition must be fierce in that plaza but they can try a little harder improving the quality of there food. I normally don't like writing bad reviews. But I feel I'm making an honest review on some simple dishes that aren't especially hard to prepare. And if your a Asian restaurant and give me old stale rice that's been sitting in some warmer since lunch time or longer? Really!

Not worth your time go to a different place. Price does not match the food, waiter ignores you and the food is really bad. No flavor and the duck is horrible. Just oil and MSG. I give a 0 star if possible. I don't usually give bad reviews. 真的吃吐了 不想多bb 去别地方吧

Worst place ever! Spend 100 for 2 dishes and the duck is dry no flavor and taste oil. The mapo tofu is so trash and no flavor just spicy and grease. The soup taste like water and just some vegetables. Horrible never come again 这是我在美国吃的最烂的一次北京菜吧，这家店能营业那么久也是厉害

Never go to this restaurant，The manager racism here，Deliberately not ordering you。Let you wait for more than 2 hours after ordering，The restaurant is very messy，No service。I saw rats running around inside！

The worst dishes ever! Beijing duck is freaking dry. The meatball doesn't even have meat in it! It should has been called flourball. the spicy lamb has no taste. 根本就是侮辱北京菜

They are doing a great job during COVID19, the food quality is very good and the quantity is decent. We are from Beijing and do think their food is authentic and very close to what you get in Beijing. Great customer service and reasonable price!

I went there for dinner without a reservation. They are pretty busy and I wanted for about 40min. Their staff is very friendly and the service is great. The staff gave us a decent desert (pea yellow) to make up our long time waiting. The food is also very good.

Had an excellent evening here yesterday with my family. I have heard about this for many times and decided to try myself. Such a great experience! As we were for six persons I thought that it would be a problem to find a table for us, but to my surprise they gave us a super place next to the windows very easily. We ordered different meals and salads in order to try many variants of the food and all of them were delicious. The working staff was also good enough. Very attentive and polite. I think we will bewill be back soon here again. Thanks.
