The food were great. We ordered the braised pork belly, twice-cook pork, and there's 1 more item that were ordered but forgot. We went to this place on Sunday, November 5, 2023 and the service was great. The only reason why I am giving this review 3 stars because I came here to give a warning that you guys need to be aware of your bill. They automatically put 20% gratuity on our bill which is not right. This place is dishonest

Be aware Unethical Business Practice:Waitress a scammer. Be careful when you charge your credit card in this restaurant. My family and I went to dinner on Oct 10,2023. I gave my credit card to pay my bill to the waitress and she gave me the receipt to sign. Unknowingly, my credit card was already swiped by the waitress before I could signed on the receipt a 20% tips (and the tips was calculated including tax). Next time check your credit card. I don't mind giving them the tips but this unethical business practices. I hope the owner will read this.

I like the eggplant dish here. It comes with a wooden stick in the bowl for smashing the eggplant. It's like a mortar and pestle. Unique experience! The staff is very friendly.

The food is good, but the service is just okay. We were initially told to use the online menu as they didn't have a physical one, but later saw everyone else using a physical menu. Moreover, when I asked for the Yelp check-in, they informed me that both items were out of stock. They also don't serve alcohol.

Strong recommend. A little restaurant at Rowland Heights that surprised me a lot. Serviced Hunan style dishes. If you can handle spicy this is the place you must try. No words, just come to try

We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for food in this plaza and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy but we managed to get in Sunday noon with no wait and the service was good. You order on your phone and then they bring out the dishes/pay at the end. Mao's Style Braised Pork - 8/10: the sauce was tasty and on the sweeter side with the veggies having a nice crunch to them. Seems like the pork is not braised as long since the meat doesn't completely melt in your mouth but it was still tender and good. Chongqing Chicken with chilies - 7/10: we ordered medium spice level and this was a good amount of spice to need a break in-between eating a few pieces at a time. The flavor was good and the chicken was moist, although the outside of the chicken was not as crispy as other versions of the dish I've tried. Overall a solid dish.

Probably one of the best Chongquing chicken I've ever had. It was super spicy, numbing and just great. The eggplant dish was also great. Perfectly cooked eggplant. Same with the braised pork belly. Service was good. Very attentive. The only complaint I have is they don't honor the Yelp Check-in because it's new owner. But it's been months now, so why don't they get rid of it and just delete it from the page? Reason for the four stars. Other than that, the place has plenty of seats, not loud and nicely spread out. This location is located inside the plaza. First floor and pretty easy to find. Lots of parking around and lots of places to walk around after your meal.

My boyfriend and I ate here for dinner one evening. We ordered the sichuan style intestines, live cooked fish and eggplant. The service was great. The waitress knew I didn't speak Chinese so she would speak to my boyfriend in Chinese and speak and explain the dishes to me in English. The restaurant is not that large so I would say if you go with a group, a party of 6, you could sit comfortably but I'm sure they could accommodate up to a party of 10.

The food are excellent, very authentic, delicious & flavorful! We love it! You can choose the spicy level on all dishes! That is really thoughtful & considerate! We ordered the braised beef noodle, aged egg with eggplant, chicken gizzard with sour beans! For desert: icy cool sweet jello! Yum! Great food, nice environment & awesome service! Strongly recommended restaurant!

There was a yahoo free offer when you check in for a free drink. But the waitress said they don't honor that because it's a new owner. Which I found odd. I got the vegetables and garlic sauce. They wouldn't let me add tofu even if I was willing to pay.We also got the mapu tofu. I really enjoyed the food. My colleague was just kind of like warm on it. The mapu tofu had some Szechuan spice and gave it a nice kick. Service was good. The place was no pretty busy as well, which is a good sign.

Really good Szechuan food. Lots of locals eat here.I visited on a Sunday night, and service was really slow. There were two ladies that I could see taking care of their dining room. Eventually there were parties waiting to be seated. We waited a long time for them to take our order, and our food took even longer to be served. We had to ask twice for ice water because they forgot the first time. The food was so spicy!Beef with cumin - I usually get lamb with cumin, so the flavor in this dish wasn't as strong as I am used to. (Lamb with cumin is usually smelly). They put a lot of white onions. Water boiled fish - This was found in a small Szechuan section of the menu. It had both cabbage and bean sprouts. I think they could have had more fish. It's served in a large bowl, as usual, but I feel like they didn't give us a lot of fish. I asked for normal spice level, and it was pretty spicy! Hunan style pork - very similar to twice cooked pork. Lots of flavor. I liked the chili peppers.I think rice and hot tea might have been free. I didn't check the receipt. These three dishes came out to $68 something - with tax, no tip. The bathroom smells like SULFUR / rotten eggs!! It was so gross. The restaurant entrance can be accessed inside the plaza. You park somewhere outside the plaza (there's also a structure). Chili House is across from the yogurt drink place.

Can't speak to the food here but the waitress was INCREDIBLY rude. Trust me, I get the culture isn't into customer service but I was hoping for uh-civility? When the waitress asked if we wanted to order drinks, I asked if I could use the check in offer and she scoffed/laughed and said no, like I was an idiot for even asking. Then she walked away without an explanation or giving us an opportunity to order drinks. I understand that sometimes these offers expire (maybe remove them then?) but a simple sorry we're not doing that anymore would have been fine. My friend, a very chill person who never even asks for his order when he gets the wrong item, was really pissed about that lady's attitude and asked if I wanted to leave so we left.

I ordered to go, I was told pick it up after 20 mins, but when I there after 20 mins, a female said they didn't even start to cook my order, she said just cancel your order and go. Of course no apology and she didn't even want to talk to me any more. Don't know why they hire a person has really bad attitude...
