Food quality is nice. Not too overpowering from spices. Dishes come out pretty fast too.

The quality at this location has slowly diminished and was not the same experience I had 7-10 months ago. Most of the dishes were still super tasty thankfully, but there were a few that weren't good. Hits and highly recommended: * Big plate chicken (boneless) * Laghman noodle - best and my fave noodle! * Lamb kebab * Stir fried green beans * Dolan's special tea (herbal!!! So good) * Homemade Yogurt - a smooth and rich yogurt topped with honey, crushed walnuts and raisins - absolutely delicious. I wish they would sell this by the quart. * Honey Cake - my favorite!!! Misses: * Tofu with chives (bland, cold and not chives - they were actually scallions) * Quyash Qatlima (something about it did not taste fresh and the cheese * Table cleanliness Would I come back again? Maybe. I have loved Dolan's for many, many years and would need to see that they've stepped it up since yesterday's dinner since cleanliness was a factor that needs to be addressed. I've always had positive experiences at the Alhambra location so that would probably be my first choice if I was craving Dolan's again.

Parking can be challenging around dinner time but lunch time is fine. Restaurant is nice and spacious and has a lot of interesting cultural decor. Server was attentive and helpful especially when she saw us having trouble with the tea pot. Loved every dish we ordered and will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Dolan special tea was nice and floral with a hint of honey. Definitely a must with every order. Even better that it came with endless refills of hot water to keep brewing the tea. Even after 5 refills of the hot water the tea did not taste like it got diluted at all. Shredded potato dish was nice and had a decent amount of spice to it. Samsa was super flaky and filled with a well seasoned ground beef. Paired well with the pickled cabbage. This is what I wish the Porto's meat pie tasted like. If they sold this frozen I would buy a dozen just so I can make it at home. Fried naan and beef was good. Honestly was more naan than beef. In our order it was around 5 percent beef and 94 percent fried naan and 1 percent veggies. Dish was good but wish there was more beef. Big plate chicken was a very generous portion but we did feel that it was a bit on the salty side. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the hand pulled noodles was delicious. Very filling to say the least.

These days, the glitz and bustle of Rowland Heights is enough to make you wonder whether you had taken the 57 South too far and landed at Disney. The eastern San Gabriel Valley city, with a population of 48,000, contains several plazas with more interesting restaurants than entire cities of even greater size. A nighttime cruise across Colima Rd is a dizzying spectacle of lights and signs in Hangul and Chinese script. Your head swivels as you panic breathlessly at the daunting prospect of which spot to choose. Tonight, however, you will be staying away from the inner heart of Rowland. In the hinterland of Mandarin Plaza, wedged between the 60 fwy and South Pacific RR tracks, is Dolan's Uyghur Cuisine. Along with its other locations in Alhambra and Irvine, it provides the only offering of the Turkic food of China's Xinjiang province. The Uyghurs are an ethnic minority in China and subjected to the opprobrious treatment from their government, even by Chinese standards. It's setting along the Silk Road was perhaps the greatest force in shaping its cuisine. They offer dumplings called manta. Afghani's call their dumplings mantua. In Nepal they have the momo and Koreans do mandu. Uyghur kitchens make breads called naan, similar, but different to that found in Punjabi bistros. However, it is not the naan, but the goshnaan that you will want to order: a hubcap of flaky pastry, crimped around the circumference, and stuffed with a blend of beef, lamb and onions. From the condiment caddy you can grab a dried chili spice mix and black vinegar; apply these flavor enhancers generously or meanly, allowing your taste to dictate. Before plowing away at the big plate chicken, a mass of noodles, bell peppers, potatoes, scallions, and fowl swimming in a lake of spiced red sauce like so many tyrants and murderers in the River Phlegethon, admire the decor. The mural of medieval Turks gathered around a campfire playing lutes and smoking long pipes, the ceremonial textiles adorning walls and other surfaces. Then, with the obligatory "taking in" of your surroundings behind you, go ahead and dig into the big plate chicken, know in Mandarin as da pan ji and in the native tongue as qong texse toxu qorumisi. Like many another noodle dish found in Asia, this is the co-production of itinerate Chinese workers, specifically from neighboring Szechuan. Szechuan migrants were craving a dish to remind them of home. Left without their beloved peppercorns, they turned instead to star anise and cinnamon. Voila! Dapanji! Also try the less flaky, yet more crispy meat pie called quyash quatlima, which requires twenty minutes to prepare, but along with minced meat comes mozzarella cheese.Vegetarian options: There are veg optionsDietary restrictions: There are veg optionsParking: Parking's a little tight, but you'll make it fitKid-friendliness: "You might not be ready for it, but your kids are gonna love it." - Marty McFlyWheelchair accessibility: Ground level

I have been the fan of Dolan's for several years. I recommend the signature dish - Lamb Polo. The lamb was tender and juicy, and the rice was cooked to perfection, infused with a blend of spice. For those with a penchant for spice, the Chicken with Hand-Pulled Noodles is a must-try. The noodles were soft yet chewy, and the chicken was cooked in a savory, spicy sauce. Overall, a great restaurant that worth the visit!!

The food is actually quite tasty. My party of 3 came in on a Thursday night at 6 and we were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered the big plate of chicken which was tender and flavorful, we got lamb rice and skewers as well (both great as well), but the meat pie was probably my favorite crisp on the outside with a juicy center. The only issue with this place is the service. There is only one waiter that is just on his phone the whole time even though we were the only table, but other than that everything is good from the decorations to the food. Would go back.
