This is my favorite place to eat in Rowland area. The food is always on point. I believe it's one of the best Cantonese cafes in all of SGV. My favorite item to order here is the mushroom truffle pizza. Their pizzas are so good. The dough is crispy on the outside but nice and chewy on the inside. They use enough cheese and are generous with the mushrooms. I also love their fillet mignon and shrimp as well as their chicken steak meals. All the food is really fresh and quick. They are packed every day during lunch and dinner times so definitely try to come early and get a seat!

Authentic cantonese/hk style food is hard to find outside of 626 and I really love this. Friend found it and I'm ELATED to have a new favorite place. Should know better that there's something like this in diamond plaza... since i've been here a lot for other places. Two guys, this was enough food, could eat a little more but this is fine. The curry stew has a good amount of tendon or others so not enough meat if I was eating alone but the flavor is similar to what I'm used to eating near San Francisco. There's even tons of other interesting italian fusion items like a duck pizza???Very interested in trying these! Looking forward to repeating at least 2-3 times minimum probably more because in OC - there's nothing like this. Sure there's Tasty Garden in Irvine but this place just has it better I think. Had a slight wait on a Sunday evening but definitely worth it and it's not that long anyways. Lots of seating inside, you can be semi-close to other tables but I like that there's efficient use of space and lots of tables rather than wasting space!! True to cantonese style, little bit of noise but no issue talking.

Chow fun with egg and gravy. Yang chow Fried rice. Spicy salted squid. Porridge. Those are a must try if you haven't ordered.

I didn't take photos because I honestly thought it was going to be whatever but I was wrong!! This gem is the first restaurant on the left when you enter the plaza. We ordered the meat platter that has chicken, pork, lamb, and beef cubes. We also ordered the beef udon, duck pizza, and squid/wings as appetizer. The meat platter caught me by surprise as it was very juicy. The duck pizza is a bit rich for my taste but the arugula helps place it out. The squid/wings appetizer comes with not only the squid rings but the tentacles as well. The beef udon had a lot of meat in it as well. I would definitely come back here.

The view from the outdoor seating area was serene. Arrive early. Seating is limited. The service was outstanding. My spouse loved the French Onion soup. I thought there were way too many onions and not enough broth. The BLT looked and tasted more like a Subway sandwich. The ingredients were housed within a long sub roll. Be sure to ask for crispy bacon. Our friends loved the three-cheeses sandwich and tomato soup. I would order something different next time.

Ah gone are the days of my childhood with the old Garden Cafe of Rowland Heights, but I'm glad there's at least Garden Bistro. It's the same owner as the old Garden, so at least there's commonalities. The food is old school Hong Kong Asian and Western fusion food, dating back to when Hong Kong was a British colony. Most of us with immigrant parents from Hong Kong are accustomed to this kind of cuisine. This hit the spot. We came as a party of 5, which included my parents, my husband, and our 15 month old. Service was extremely friendly. Without asking, we were given a booth to accommodate the baby. We ordered baked Bolognese, 2 orders of the fried chicken steak with spaghetti, seafood curry, and oxtail stew. For an extra $3.50 my husband added a milk tea with his meal which comes with one free refill. Everything was delicious. We pretty much demolished everything. The Bolognese is as flavorful and guilty as I remember. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We love mixing the extra spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce. The chicken plate also came with zucchini, corn, and mashed potatoes. The curry was flavorful and the oxtail stew was amazing. Unlike the old days you don't get a complimentary bowl of soup with your orders anymore; you have to pay extra. While it's not exactly the Garden Cafe from my childhood, it is a close rendition with similar foods that my whole favorite enjoy. And now my baby and husband enjoy it too.

Garden Bistro is a spot my wife and I always visit whenever we are in the area. For those of you that's not familiar with Hong Kong styled Café, they are in many ways a fusion between the culinary cuisine of the east in combination with the west. The range of food they typically serve are your regular fried rice all the way to steaks or sandwiches with a more Asian spin to it. The inside of Garden Bistro is very trendy although not filled with décor inside the restaurant. The service is decent and a window where you can see some of your items prepared by a chef in addition to a back kitchen where they make other items in the menu. We got: 1. Spanish Seafood Paella (5 / 5) - This dish is a definitely must try. The mix of seafood that included clams and shrimp from the west in mix of tomato rice with Chinese seasoning makes it an extremely delicious dish. The taste is not overly strong and tastes just the way we liked it. 2. Korean Styled Grilled Beef Short Rib (4 / 5) - This dish was their attempt at the Korean kalbi. It tasted great, and even though we weren't expecting it to be identical to ones you would get at a Korean restaurant, we felt that there are rooms for improvement on the sparerib itself. Nonetheless, we still liked it. 3. Minced Beef & Egg on Rice (5 / 5) - From first looks, this dish may not look impressive but if you are a fan of their rice dishes from these types of places, this dish is one of their stable and it's quite often that it's a winner. In essence, the minced beef is sauced to mix in with your fried rice and your over easy egg. The sauce was a winner for us. All in all, I have gone through quite a bit of Hong Kong styled Cafés in the past but this one would have to be a top choice for me whenever I'm around. Give this spot a shot, venture to different variety of things on the menu, you may just find a few more gems that you like and didn't know beforehand!

Hong Kong style western cuisine. We tried pork chop with mushroom sauce, prosciutto pizza, pork and pickled veggie noodles, and spicy beef curry stew. Fun fusion! Good experience.

Let me just say, the menu at Garden Bistro is huge! There's so many options and a good variety from pasta to steak to pizza. From the chef's special menu, the Roasted miso cod fillet with shiitake, sea urchin udon and grilled filet mignon, along with the Grilled rib eye with shrimp were delicious! I love the creaminess and flavor to the udon, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare but you have the choice to how you want your steak cooked. The ribeye was on the thinner side but portion was still generous. I love the fusion and HK-style of the dish, the steak was paired with a classic black pepper sauce. The garlic butter shrimp was my favorite part of the order. Can't wait to come back and try the pizza and pasta!

I've been a long-time customer at Garden Bistro. However, the experience I received this past weekend changed my feeling about this place. This place offers breakfast menu if you get seated before 11:30am. We arrived at 11:15am yesterday and got a seat. The manager gave us the lunch menu instead of the breakfast menu, which was what we were craving for. We thought this was weird, so we asked one of the staffs for a breakfast menu, but she claims that breakfast menu is not offered on weekends, which was a BS. Therefore, we asked another staff member, and she just shook her head and without answering our questions about the menu. We decided to order from the lunch menu instead, since we don't really have a choice. Yet, this experience was very disappointing, as if the restaurant isn't offering the breakfast combos (usually at the discount if you compared to the lunch menu), why offer the breakfast at all, might as well just move the menu. Our guess is the manager wanted customer to order from the lunch menu at a premium verse offering lower priced combos. I will probably not come back to this place, as the restaurant is stingy and poor customer service, because no one could tell me exactly why I couldn't get the breakfast menu.

I was craving HK style foods and came across this place with my wife. The food was pretty good and they had a relatively large menu to choose from. The portions were decent but the prices are definitely a bit higher than I remember HK cafe foods being, but maybe it's more of a reflection of general inflation than anything else.

Garden Bistro in Rowland Heights delivered a fantastic dining experience! The Rib Eye Steak was not only perfectly cooked but also came in a generous portion at an affordable price. I opted for the Hong Kong-style sweet tomato sauce spaghetti, and the unique twist in flavor added an extra layer of enjoyment. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff further enhanced the positive experience. If you're a steak enthusiast looking for quality and value, Garden Bistro is a must-try in Rowland Heights!
