I wanted some nice fluffy Asian style cakes with sweet cream and I got exactly how I wanted it. I bumped into this shop and bought the 7 inches matcha cake, cost me 29. And it was just delicious! Cream gently sweet, sponge cake is a bit ok the heavier side but I can adore it just as much for how good of the work it is. I love the layer cake and matcha cream in between. The cream has the perfect thickness on top and side. It's not too little not too much. The strawberry on top is very fresh. I'm enjoying it just the moment I'm writing this. I was like this is too good for the price I will definitely come back and try more things. Not to mention the older lady who helped me with my order she was such a sweet delight. I'm spending my 30 bucks here better than 85 degree. All in all, beautiful business. Very heart warming vibe at the shop. Beautiful products and of course very very delicious. You can just tell how much love they put in to making it. Definitely support the business.

Ordered custom cakes from Good morning bakery and they turned out great! The sajangnim was so wonderful and accommodating. I placed an order within two weeks of our event and she made me feel at ease. EVERYONE commented on how delicious the cake was. I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit surprised to find the dots around both tiers of the cake BUT I don't think anyone else noticed them. Just be super duper clear of what you want/don't want on the cake .Overall, we're happy with how the cakes turned out!

I came and bought around 10 pieces for $27. Most breads were $2.50-2.75 each and they were delicious! I will take a better picture next time but they were full of red bean and sweet potato filling. Were soft and tasted great the next day. I personally think it's better than 85 and sunmerry in the filling aspect. The ladies were nice and took credit card with no service charge. Will definitely come back to try more.

My wife's birthday was coming up and with her obsession with BTS (according to her, Jimin is off-limits and is her boyfriend), I decided to get Korean food in Rowland Heights. Therefore, the cake needed to be nearby as well. Yelp led me to Good Morning Bakery, and I called them to place a matcha cake order as follows:Owner: "안녕하세요, Good Morning Bakery!"Me: "Hi, I like to place an order for matcha cake for pick-up on 04/18."Owner: "OK. What size cake? Come in six, seven inches."Me: "Seven inches, please."Owner: "What date?"Me: "April 18, next Tuesday."Owner: "Friday??" *Ruffling noises*Random customer: "Hi, are you trying to place an order?"Me: "Yes, I would like to place an order for a seven-inch matcha cake for 04/18."Random customer: *translates* "Oh okay, I just ordered it for you." *exchanges personal details for payment*Me: "Thank you! What is popular there?"Random customer: "Sir, I have been a long-time customer for twenty years. You should try everything but I really like their fruit cakes and pastries. The matcha cake is good too."Me: "Oh okay! I will try their pastries too."Random customer: "Yes, everything is really fresh. The husband comes in early in the morning and makes everything. I will confirm your order with the cashier!"The day came for the pick-up of my wife's cake. I was ready to just pay for the cake but as that random customer foreshadowed, the delicious pastries caught my attention. We grabbed several which included mocha buns, chestnut pastries, and oatmeal cookies. The cashier even asked if we wanted candles. Once we got home, we dived into the pastries. The oatmeal coke was a bit on the crunchy side and the chestnut pastry had chunks of chestnut in it which unfortunately crunchy as well. The main showpiece, the matcha cake, was where Good Morning Bakery truly shined. The frosting was light and fluffy. The first initial bite had a subtle hint of saltiness which contrasted with the not-too-sweet frosting and cake. The cake was slightly on the dense side but not overpowering with matcha flavor. We are excited to come back to support this mom and pop bakery for future cakes!
