I really wish I had better things to say about this joint. Given it's around the LA area and I'm from Seattle, I certainly expected a little more. Unfortunately, the broth was far from flavorful (sodium is not a flavor), the items ordered were half-frozen, and I mise certainly wondered if I had any service, to begin with. Clarification: it was not a terrible experience. We were seated immediately and felt the food was just ok. It filled us up, and the tab wasn't astronomical. But darn, I read much better reviews on 小红书 (a Chinese social media app) and really hope that they lived up to it. Looking into other places for food next time I'm in Cali.

This hot pot restaurant really surprised me and my family. Very delicious and fresh dishes, the traditional copper pot reminds me of the days in Beijing. No doubt that we will come back again!

A true hidden gem! We stumbled upon this place since it was really cold outside. The food was truly authentic and everythingwas fresh and delicious. The pricr is very reasonable too! It's better to go with a group of 3-4 as the portion is pretty big.

This is actually the second time I tried hot pot in LA. Last time was Haidilao. This place is certainly more interesting and with unique food. I used to love hot pot back in China, I would say I'm satisfied with the hot pot they're making here.

East town hotpot 18406 Colima Rd, Ste E, Rowland Heights, CA 91748

Really liked this place! I ordered a bunch of stuff and was pretty impressed. I do wish their broth was spicier but other than that it was great.

: Healthy Bone Broth and Mala Medium Spicy : Premium Lamb Shoulder and Snowflake Beef : Vegetable Platter, Tofu Skin, frozen tofu, fish cake, Vermicelli Noodles, Glass Noodles Atmosphere: If you are looking for an authentic hot pot place then this is it. It's located inside the Hong Kong Shopping Plaza and it's open super late until 12am everyday. The service was really on point but the servers would only talk to me in Mandarin which is a language that I suck at. So if you want to improve your Chinese then go here too haha. But honestly the restaurant was cute and cozy and everything looked so clean and fancy. Food: the broth was phenomenal and everything came out all at once which was good. The restaurant serves all types of beef even A5 but we got the snowflake beef which had a great amount of marbling and it was tender. The lamb is hands down my favorite. Also the restaurant has a self serve sauce and appetizer bar that includes a variety of staple hot pot sauces, fruits, snacks, lemon tea, and lemonade which was super cool. Overall I would definitely go back again and I think everyone should give it a go too if you're looking for a more traditional Chinese hot pot place.

Highly Recommend to try out this hotpot location. The quantity of beef is great and the broth is superb. On the side there are areas for sauce and small apetitizer dishes. Great location for hotpot.

The broth is very authentic, I don't usually go for the spicy one, but my friends insisted ordering it, I turned out really liked it. The restaurant environment and service are not as good as Shancheng Lameizi, but with the price compared to the later, I think it's a good choice for hot pot.

Unfortunately customer service here is non existing. When we arrived it took over 10+ minutes to even have someone acknowledge us. Mind you, it was empty with only two other couples in there. After we order and received our food, we didn't see the waiter until we flagged her down for our receipt. The meat like others mention wasn't fresh. They are changing ownership which would probably explain the no beer license. I want to add that for some reason there is a horrible smell outside the establishment. It might be the surround area or something but my god did it stink. COVID protocols here are 3/10.

Food is good with acceptable price. No waiting.

Like the previous reviewer has mentioned I feel like their meat is not fresh as well. And it took so long to have somebody to serve my table their response is slow and with ignore. I would recommend other hot pot place in Rowland heights which is more delicious and has great customer service.
