Place is inexpensive and hidden at the corner of the plaza amongst other cafes and restaurants like a food court. The place does have dining in and food to go and you can even buy dumplings frozen and not cooked so you can do it at home. They have really good steamed dumplings and prices are great. It is cash only but they also take zelle if you wanted to pay that way. They sell other things as well but we ordered dumplings and the Shanghai fried dumplings which was delicious and juicy. The online/scallion pancakes was also very tasty so all in all would definitely come back again. You can order ahead to get it togo if you did not want to dine in.

This place completely took me by surprise. It's an awesome hole in the wall place for dumplings and other Asian food! The prices are unbeatable for the amount of food you get and the flavors. It's inside the plaza's food court and the inside is a little run down but I didn't mind for a casual bite. Would definitely be coming back with other friends and family!

The service and atmosphere were okay, but the food was not it. I ordered a stewed beef soup and the beef was chewy and fatty and the soup tasted like there was hydrogen peroxide mixed in. I normally finish my dish but I could only take a few bites. Also be warned if you can't handle spicy, MAKE SURE YOU SPECIFY. It was not a great experience and I was hungry too, which is a bummer. Wouldn't recommend.

Been here many times usually with my grandmother. Always feels like back in China / not in the US. It is technically in a food court and there's usually a line. Go to dishes are the pan fried buns which are such a good deal. Ci cai nian gao which is usually full of rich greens. Their veggie and red bean steamed baos I get to take home and steam at home, and they're doughy and fluffy. I got the beef tendon noodles last time which was filling and had thick parts of beef and tendon that I almost couldn't finish. The mustard green accompaniment was good sour alternative to oily rich noodle soup. Service is decent and ambiance is as expected from a food court. Cash only. Mandarin speaking primarily.

Love this place, have been coming for years even though we don't even live in CA. Best SJB (sheng jian bao) in LA. Have yet to find a better version. Rivals the ones in Shanghai. Must must get. They also have a lot of Shanghaiese dishes/snacks that's hard to find in other restaurants.

The cheapskate in me loves this place! I don't know what took me so long to try this place as I used to frequent this food court a long time ago. They have been there the longest. Yet, I've never been there until recently.I came here to try their pan fried bao. I've been back many times to try their other offerings on their extensive menu. I've had a few of the noodles. I've had better noodles elsewhere, but, none at the price they charge. The pan fried pork bao is our favorite here. It is like a giant XLB in a fried bao. I like that is full of a soup liquid. The pork inside the bao is nice and savory. My only complaint is occasionally, they will burn it. Service has always been very good. The employees are nice and speak English and Chinese. They also take phone orders. Though, the one time I did a phone order, I wasn't sure if the person who took my order understood. It's a good place. Price is cheap and reasonable especially when everything seems to have double in price over the past 3 years. 4 stars...5 if they stop burning my pan fried pork bun.

The GPS gave me a time of it that this was into a food court in the corner of the building by Mian. The women working there only spoke Mandarian but were friendly. The food itself was very good and came out hot and fast. We got the soup dumplings and one of the pork buns, as well as the pork cold noodle.I would go again if I'm in the area.

Pan fried dumplings and Xiao long bao are really good. That's what we came for and we were not disappointed. A bonus was the price for everything. Hard to find these prices these days. Staff was friendly and accommodating. But if you don't speak Chinese, there may be a slight language barrier. But wasn't a big issue for us. The place is located in a food court so it's either to go or you pick up your own orders.

Super amazing and inexpensive Shanghai style foods. Everything on the menu is delicious and freshly prepared. My favorites are the pan fried bun, scallion pancakes and beef noodle soup. Much much better and way cheaper than Din Tai Fung.

All entree and dishes here are certainly fabulous. They don't expect tips and prices are reasonable. I personally have a hard time adjusting to post-pandemic price level so little Shanghai is the only place I eat out at.

Oh my goodness! I'm so happy I found this little hole in the wall full of yumminess!!! Definitely authentic Chinese food- their xiao long Bao was so juicy and meat so tender. I also ordered their fried version of it that's a bit bigger- pan fried buns. Super good!! They have lots of different noodle dishes and some rice dishes. I really love their buns. Can't beat the prices. Just make sure you have cash or Venmo. That's all they take. No credit cards. Give it a shot! It's worth it!

Come here for the Shanghainese pan-fried pork buns and you'll end up staying for everything on the menu. It's one of the most authentic SH places you'll find in the area and this boy can't get enough of the nostalgic taste. It's on point and add a little vinegar to each bite to break up the grease. The value is also great and you can feed the whole crew easily. They might be cash only. This is one of life's many joys all can cheer about. Enjoy!

Unassuming and delicious hidden gem, this Shangahainese restaurant nestled inside food court in the corner within Pacific Plaza (this plaza is right across the street from Hong Kong market). This plaza also has Little Bean, Wave Cosmetic surgery, Newport Seafood, Takashima, & others. The restaurant is family owned with the sweetest owners! The food here is great and they are well known for their wide variety of delicious Shanghainese dishes across the board. I like their noodles, ko-fu vegetarian dish, dumplings, steamed & meat/veggie buns, smoked salted duck, and I also like their sweetened white woodsear + red dates drink (so refreshing)! Service is top notch, it gets busy here, and be sure to bring cash because they don't take credit cards (unsure about debit).
