Right off the bat when walking in you can tell this restaurant is a special and quirky place. The space is filled with various frog themed art and looks like a museum dedicated to frogs! The owner was super helpful and friendly and made sure my party knew that they mostly served frog here (tastes like chicken). The food was great and this place deserves way more traffic :) the whole thing is an experience to say the least

One of the reasons for me to drive down from NorCal to SoCal is to try Mr. Frogs. I love frogs because they are more tender than chicken but different from alligator meat or turtle meat. I've also had so many other kinds of frog dishes so I wasn't expecting anything to blow me away. However, I'm happy to say that this is unique enough to warrant the drive down to SoCal. In fact I came back to this restaurant multiple times during the week I was in SoCal. It's not one of those copper pot frog places, nor is it that of a simmer pot one, it has a unique twist by its unique sauce. I'd recommend only the signature dish which is very very slightly mildly spicy. I've seen signs that unfortunately they are closing this store soon so if you have chances go try it right away. And who knows if enough people show up, it might continue to operate because it makes financial sense to do so.

Mr. Frog is a unique restaurant with unique dishes as well. As the name implies, this place primarily serves frogs, specifically bullfrogs. The main dishes are meant to serve 2-3 people, but can certainly fill a small party. We got the Shitake Mushroom Bullfrog Chicken Soup and had some add ons to it. It's a large dish and they're generous with the amount of frogs they provide compared to other restaraunts that serve frog. They're barbaque Bullfrog was also delicious, flavorful and juicy. This is a unique and cute restaurant that certainly deserves a visit for those that want to try something different.

Came here for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised by the portion and the flavor. Ordered the first basil frog and it was definitely enough to share between 2-3 people. The meat is very tender and flavorful....I would defiantly come back for more.
