It was referred by a co-worker to try this seafood resto. We give a shot & try this resto for the first time. The place is decent & food is not as special compared to other. Same menu as with other Chinese resto but the only special with this place is, as you order there dumplings it comes with sauce ( chilli or oil) which they served with your food but you have to pay it coz they said, if you order something, sauce & tea is together. So if you only has sauce without tea, you still have to pay almost $4. This is the only place that obliged payment for there sauce which is very odd compare to others. Lastly, you can't leave this resto also without giving them tips or else they're gonna asked as you before walking out. Our first & last try to this place.

I never had dim sum before college. If you've never been, try it here. Ideally, go with someone who knows about dim sum and can help you order. If you can't do that, here are my quick tips: - Get here early - Order the shrimp ha gow, pork sui mai, and anything that looks good as the cart goes by - Enjoy chatting with everyone at your table like you're relaxing at home

This might be the best authentic Chinese restaurant in California. Great for large groups. They generally seem to have the spices down. All dishes we tried were not too salty or spicy. I recommend the dim sums, snow crab (love the garlic), and snow pea stir fry. Wait time can get pretty long. I suggest going in earlier than typical dinner time to beat the rush. There are three bathroom stalls for hundreds of guests, so it gets messy.

I absolutely love this place. We came here on a Sunday at around 12 pm. We took a number, and the place was absolutely packed! It's upstairs, and they have an elevator as well to get upstairs. Parking can be tough sometimes, but they also have underground parking as well. We are always able to find a spot. We waited about 30 minutes before our table was ready. We grabbed a number and waited for us to be called. They turnover tables pretty quickly but get there early because the wait can be long. Once seated, it was now dim sum time! They bring the food on carts and you have to look at the cart and decide which foods to get and how many. They then put it on the table and stamp your card. The card represents your bill at the end. It's a very fast-paced but friendly environment. They also have different people who walk by who get the tea and the water and whatever else you need. Food is always delicious, we get everything from sumai to hakow to buchi. Try everything!! Bill came out to about $220 for about 9 of us, and we had our fill. We always come to this dimsum spot whenever we can. It's a great way to eat some good food, have good conversation, and try new things!! Very delicious!! We'll definitely be back again!

Been here more than 10 times. The dim sum here is good quality. Price ranges $5- up. I would recommend this place. Come early if expect to wait in line. Had the usual this time.

We've been coming here for years, and we've learned to navigate some issues that more or less impacted our enjoyment of the restaurant: availability of parking, length of wait, language barrier, etc. We solved all that by making sure that if we came during the weekend, we'd arrive before 9:30am. That way, there is virtually no wait for a table and parking is plentiful. The dim sum selection is expansive - and without a menu. Ladies come around with their carts and you point out what you want. We love everything we get. We stick to our favorites - pork spare ribs, sticky rice in leaves, shumai, hargow, chicken feet, taro puffs, etc. The taste has always been consistent, so we have no complaints about the food. It's delicious and satisfying. Even the pickiest eater will have something they'll like. The noise level is loud because lots of families love eating there. The carpeting helps mute the sounds though. It's not a romantic date place, so calibrate expectations. This is not a restaurant where you can linger for hours. Don't expect the typical warmth you get from SoCal restaurants because that's not their style. They will however do what they can to get you what you need. Whether it's ice water or soy sauce (you have to ask for it) or extra napkins. I appreciate their efficiency despite some of the employees not knowing English. Their briskness is purposeful. Prices are reasonable, and you will leave feeling full. It's a restaurant we keep coming back to because we get so much bang for our buck.

This is one of our favorite places for dim sums. The facility is newer and clean with a lovely view of the snow-capped mountains at this time of the year. Dim sum carts roll around with a good variety of the kind of dim sum I remember eating as a kid with my parents. Our kids' favorites are the steamed shrimp rolls, baked BBQ pork baos, and egg tarts. I personally like the ginger scallion tripes, the fried taro balls, and pork spare ribs. The Chrysanthemum tea is a must. Service is quick and efficient and the prices are reasonable.

I was here last week for dinner, we ordered 4 dishes but still ended getting charged $5.60 per person for STEAM RICE. I couldn't believe it. Never in life we were charged for $5.60 for steam rice per person at a Chinese Seafood restaurant. If I knew I might as well ordered fried rice. Foods flavor were not up to par either. So definitely not coming back. I hope the management see this review.

Quite busy. Service is quick but it can take a long time to come. The food is pretty good as well, love the dim sum. We have been here with family for a few celebrations and every time the service here is exceptional. Staff mainly speak Chinese, which is expected in Rowland Heights (We are Chinese lol), so it was easy to communicate and get service from them.

I walked into this restaurant on a Friday night and it's probably about 30% occupy at best. I should have known that's a bad sign. The food was mediocre but the service was fast since the restaurant pretty empty. I can't believe we got charge $5.60 person for white rice and that's more than $20 just on steam white rice for our party of 4. On top of this, they brought an extra dish we did not order but insisted we did ordered it. What is this? Is this how they generate business. Anyway, we kept that extra dish but probably would be back here again. Shit is out of control out there.

New Capital Seafood Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its authentic dim sum push cart service. There's no menu because the dishes come directly to your table on traditional carts, allowing you to choose from a wide selection of delectable options. Dim sum is exceptionally good! The restaurant's spacious interior makes it excellent for large groups, and the ambiance gives you the feeling of being in a dim sum restaurant in China. New Capital Seafood Restaurant is a must-visit for dim sum enthusiast.
