The lady who is the owner of the new management, approached us to explain about new ownership. We ordered Sweet and Sour Pork and Yangjangpi as usual. My first impression was the food came out so fast, literally within 2 minutes after just ordered which was ridiculously faster. I would say that it was faster than McDonald's. It didn't make sense at all that it would have taken at least 10 minutes if the cook made the food after ordering. It was obvious that they did pre-made dishes and reheated them. It was not made to the order. The lady came to our table to engage in taste, service, and so on. We said the food was not seasoned well but too plain. However, the lady reputed my opinion but tried to persuade us about their taste of the food. I know what Korean Chinese food tastes like. we were not expecting a very delicious taste, but it should have been a certain level of taste. Also, their service was a very artificial, negative impression. I will never go to this restaurant again.

I've had the same types of dishes (jajjangmyun, tangsuyuk, mapo tofu) at many other chinese/korean places and new garden's take on these dishes is super flavorful and distinct. I heard this place is under new management and a new menu, and I have to say the service and staff was awesome and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

New owners are amazing! Food tastes even better than before and their jajjangmyun is THE best I've had in Los Angeles. Super quick and welcoming, too--a new favorite for authentic Korean-Chinese food!

First time here at New Garden Restaurant. The place looked clean and the staffs were super friendly. Now let talks about their foods. The foods were kind of different from any other Asian restaurant. We order about 8 different dishes. Each dishes tastes distinguished from one another. Each dishes were perfectly cooked to their ingredients, which means not too salty, greasy, or bluntly plain. If you the type of people who's very concerned about eating healthy, this is the place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking to try a different taste or flavor of Asian fusion.

Horrible! New management. They did it the cheapest way ever. Seemed to have used all the existing equipment from previous owners. All they did was wear a fancy apron and covered up the tables with new table cloths. Was so excited that this place re-opened and had to try it. This was our go-to place for Chinese-Korean food. Orders the jam-pong and Ja-Jang-Myun. Jajang looked like it's been sitting there in the pot for over an hour. Came out warm and not even hot. Didn't look fresh at all. Jampong - I had some "left-over package wrap" in my soup. Shower the server and she immediately took it back and was shockingly surprised that the cook came out and apologized. Got the replacement and guess what?!! More leftover packaging showed up. So, it seems they may not clean their ingredients or even check them out prior to making their meals. Sad that a staple local restaurant has gone down the drain. Guess we will just be driving a little further down Colima for our Chinese-Korean meals now.

Went in not really knowing what to order but I got some familiar dishes that I’ve seen online. To my surprise, the quality of the food was top notch. My family loved the place and definitely appreciated the quietness of the restaurant(subtle music playing in the background). Owner and service were great as well.

I went to the restaurant because it was run by a new owner. The food is very sweet, like green onion beef. Jjambbong is good because the fried dumplings are too burnt. And is the person at the kitchen counter at the entrance to the restaurant the chef? It was very kind of me to see it. The kitchen staff should take care of their work in the kitchen.

Really sad that this place has new owners and staff. They were closed for weeks due to remodeling but it was really because the old owners sold this place. The new owners are from the old failed Peking Duck restaurant, which is now Yong Moon Lu. We tried the food after they reopened and it was nothing like the original. Really sad... Will not be coming back. Yong Moon Lu is our new spot.

Oh my god what an end of an era. I ate here countless times, since early 1990s. I even had my engagement dinner (where my parents met my, now wife’s parents) here. So many memories. There won’t be another restaurant I can get jja jang myun, tang soo yook, jjam bbong. Good bye New Garden.

I wish I could write a great review about this place. I've been here three times in the past six months and my opinion has not changed at all.The food is not appealing, the prices do not match the value of what you are getting and the service is HORRIBLE. They just don't care.I will not be giving this place another chance. Also - PARKING SUCKS!
