Sunmerry has the best bread out of all the Chinese/Taiwanese chains, imo. Their bolo bread is my favorite and reminds me of the ones I used to have as a kid back in New York. Shredded pork buns are a classic and I loooove their mochi donuts.Their bread variety is great and same with their drinks! I love their golden pineapple green tea.The workers here are always really nice, especially the younger gentleman.

I've been to Sunmerry Bakery many times and it's one of my favorite bakery places. I always like to get their pastries and their cakes for special occasions. Their mochi donut are also delicious. The ambiance is cozy and modern and the service is quick and friendly.

Simply the best coffee late I have ever had and my biggest complain is that to get this again I have to drive 70 miles to Rolland heights. Sweets are much better than you typical American bakery as they are not so sweet and everything was very fresh .I wish they open one near me in calabasas . I would give them more stars if I could . The staff is super friendly and the place is clean clean .

A good friend of mine bought me a 6 inch strawberry custard cake for my bday several weeks ago from this location so when it was my sis bday this past weekend I made the drive & bought not only 1 cake but 2 cakes from this location. I bought the 6 inch strawberry custard & the 8 inch fresh strawberry creme cake totaling about $80. We were thoroughly disappointed with the quality of both cakes but the strawberry custard was the worse. The fresh strawberry creme cake we felt the cake was on the dry side but that's fine. The strawberry custard cake was the big disappointment. The cake was also dry but on one side of the cake it looked like they ran short of custard to fill leaving a big hole see pic attached. Of course the good side was showing in their display case so we had no idea the other side looked this way after they put it in the box. The 3 strawberries tasted old, the one blackberry had fuzzy mold on it, the sliced strawberries that's in the middle of the cake all around tasted watery. Even our 9 yr old said this is not the same strawberry custard cake we had several weeks ago because everything tasted different. I've asked the staff are these cake made today & was reassured they were but based on the dry cake & the quality of the fruits after a taste test I very much doubted they were made that day, Saturday.

Unsure why cold brew appears to be in larger container than the sea salt cream coffee. Maybe they're the same size and the container size difference is just an illusion? Anyways felt I finished the sea salt drink in no time and wished they come in bigger size. Cold brew and the sea salt drink taste better and less sweet relative to 85degrees. Service seems slow. Only one cashier taking in the orders but there are plenty of other employees who seemed available. Moon cake is less sweet than other places so kudos for that .

Lava moon cakes were amazing. Matcha coffee, rainbow lotus, and pineapple. Strawberry buns and boba milk tea were special. Service was fast and staff was very friendly. He offered to heat up our lava moon cakes. Very cozy ambiance with light classical piano music. Excellent to relax and enjoy our desserts. Highly recommended!
I was truly disappointed... I purchased a bag of chocolate chiffon on July 15. The following morning, there was green mold growing on the surface. Apart from that, as I cut it open, I tracked down more little green molds in the cake that I must toss everything...

First time visiting Sunmerry Bakery. They are constantly consistent in their quality and freshness. The Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their pastries. I liked their brioche donuts and the filling wasn't too sweet. Absolutely delicious. It would be great with a hot beverage. We will definitely return to try something else in the near future.

Sunmerry Bakery should have 4 stars at least! Perfect sweets for special occasions! Its easy to find parking in the morning, great staff, huge variety of baked goods, and the pastries are neatly organized with labels. I've only been here a couple of times since they've opened. Each time, it's because of their Taro Milk Long Cake. Thankfully, they also make Taro Cake with egg pudding and berries. They have the best taro cakes! My mom loves taro so I got her two taro cakes from here. One as a birthday cake and the other as a snack. Both are perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. The taro filling is not overly sweet. Both cakes were fluffy too. My mom loved the cakes for her birthday!Since the other pastries were irresistible, I grabbed a Milk Butter Bolo and their Portuguese Egg Tart. So good!!! Coming here is always a treat! Until next time!
