i had gotten this place delivered on uber eats for my partner because it was listed as one of the best places. when she was eating her food, she realized that it was mainly bone and the chicken was cold as well, and slimy which is absolutely disgusting. i'm not sure as to why it's listed as one of the best places when it's definitely the opposite. the meal wasn't filling either, will never get this place again. update: it's the next day and she has food poisoning

Been coming back every weekend. The current cook is the best I have found if you are looking for authentic Cantonese tasting food. Most restaurants serve fusion type dishes and way too spicy to hide the true flavor of the dish. This is the best restaurant for traditional Cantonese cuisine. Honey pork chops and beef chow fun are a couple of my favorites.

Great food, great service. Consistently good food and servers are friendly and attentive. Big servings and fairly priced. Try the calamari (salt and pepper squid), honey walnut shrimp, beef cubes, any of the fried rice, dry beef chow fun. This is a good spot!

Got an order to go. Saw the pork chops initially thinking wow that's a lot. Then realized around 90% is breading, no exaggeration. See the pic. This place is a rip off.

‼food poisoning alert!!! I love soups. And Tasty Garden has many locations. So I think they should be a legitimate and safe choice for Chinese food. I ordered a chicken soup with Chinese caterpillars which is supposedly slightly sweet and salty, but shockingly in my case it's a food poisoning disaster. It has a gluey texture, foul smell(wet dog kinda smell) and sour taste. Unfortunately I didn't want to believe that they would serve spoiled and overnight food to customers, so I tried two spoonfuls of this bad luck. I immediately felt nauseous. Then I had diarrhea right afterwards. If I weren't a soup person and had the same soup in many different places, I could have finished it and just end up in the hospital bed. Never trust any Tasty Garden again. It's just ridiculously ridiculous to serve overnight and SPOILED food.

One of my favorite authentic Hong Kong restaurants in LA. They have all the dishes from the motherland and the taste is fantastic! The restaurant is huge inside and you can definitely bring a big party with you. I find the servers super friendly (maybe it's because I speak Cantonese) and the food comes out hot and promptly. I love how during the weekends they open until midnight so if I crave some late night munchies, I'll definitely stop by here with my family. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. Highly recommend!

Again. Eating this restaurant for years. Average Cantonese taste with certain dish's cooked better than others. You have to know which one they are good at. Orange beef is good, Singapore noodle is too dry and plain taste. String bean with tip on it. Tasteless. Portion is huge.

I was convinced to make the 38 mile drive to Rowland Heights to try one of the last few remaining pure Hong Kong Cantonese "cafe" restaurants in town and it was certainly worth the drive. I had lunch at Tasty Garden during the weekday so it wasn't very crowded. At one time, there were several Tasty Garden locations in the San Gabriel Valley, but I believe this location in Rowland Heights is the last one still standing and with new management. It is a pretty large casual modern dining space that can accommodate lots of patrons. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The green onion pancake appetizer comes with an optional thick curry sauce. The shrimp and egg was very fluffy and delicious. The steamed chicken with ginger sauce was on point. The steamed pork patties with salted fish paste reminded me so much of my childhood. The deep fried fish was done to almost perfection. And the hard to find ginger milk pudding dessert was absolutely delightful! The texture was smooth with just a hint of ginger which made it quite refreshing to finish a meal. Service was very good. The wait staff was very accommodating and they offered a couple of complimentary items including the ginger milk pudding. If you are looking for some authentic Hong Kong cafe-style food, Tasty Garden is the place you definitely want to consider and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Hong Kong-style food here. Extensive menu with prompt and courteous service. As of Aug '23, they offer a yummy dessert for free! Prices are lower than similar restaurants in the area, and the portions are generous. The only drawback is the setting, which is at the back end of the shopping plaza. Not particularly picturesque, but all the other positives easily outweigh that. Great food, great price!

This place needs to improve food prep process. Ordered chicken rice claypot, found plastic shreds in the dish, my guess is that it shedded from somewhere when chopping the chicken. Hainan chk rice is ok, but the chicken is ice cold. Ambience is pretty good.Kid-friendliness: high chair is more comfortable than the usual ones.

This restaurant is located in a fairly busy plaza with other food spots. Came on a Friday night and I like how this place closes at midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. It was already 9:00 PM so only took us about 5 mins to find parking. It's a fairly large restaurant and there was only 1 party in there at the time. I love how there's a large selection of dishes to choose from. We ordered: Seafood XO sauce udon - love the texture of the noodles and there was a good amount of seafood. I think this dish was about $16 Sweet and sour fish - came with a side of rice. Had a nice crispy batter and the fish wasn't dry. This was also about $16 Loved both the items!! Will definitely be back to try the other dishes. At the end, the server brought us tofu pudding with ginger syrup for dessert. It was a little too gingery for me, but still a nice gesture.
