I love that this place stays open late. The soups are great. Not too long waiting and nice staff.

I ordered tteokbokki with cheese and ramen added, my husband ordered the tonkatsu miso ramen I believe, food smelled soooo amazing on the car ride home, I couldn’t take pictures when I got to my airbnb, we ate everything and the ramen came with pickled radish, we did add one which isWhy I put $20-$30 but the menu items were under $20. We would love to eat here again the next time as come to this city.

Service is perfect.Food is expensive and didn't meet the expectations for the amount charged. Ordered the large budae jjijae that was 43 dollars and supposed to feed a party of four. But only about half a can of ham, a few sliced sausages that don't taste like made from meat, cabbage, onion and rice cake that are big.Kimchi fry rice is also soggy and sticking together. Egg on top is also overcooked and doesn't even close to picture. The presentation is not appertizing.Five stars for service and two stars for food.

I recently had an extremely poor service experience at this restaurant. In the past, the owner used to personally attend to guests, being friendly and attentive, which is why I frequented the place. However, during my recent visit, a young man took over as a server, displaying extreme rudeness and a lack of basic courtesy. He didn't even offer water, and shockingly, without my consent, he forcefully added an 18% tip to the bill. What's even more alarming is that he insisted on an additional tip on the already added amount, a practice I had never encountered when the owner handled transactions. This deceptive way of double-charging for tips has led me to blacklist this restaurant. I hope the owner becomes aware of these issues rather than allowing such rude behavior from the staff. The service is very poor. When I came here to eat in the past, the boss would often personally entertain the guests. The boss was very nice, friendly and attentive. Because it was close, I came here often. But when I went to eat a while ago, the waiter turned into a young man, very rude and impolite. He didn't even give me water, and there was no service at all. He even forced me to charge an 18% tip at the checkout without my consent. What's even more frightening is that he showed the bill amount after the 18% tip was imposed. Me, he asked me to tip again on top of the total price after adding tip. This hidden and repeated tipping method is something that the owner of this store has never seen when checking out in person. The behavior of this young man made me decide to add this restaurant to my list of restaurants I will never eat again. I hope the boss knows all this and doesn't let this waiter behave like this.

Absolutely a nightmare. Idk how they have that A on the front because there were multiple health code violations. The people were rude and last time I was here said they were closed a good 20 min before their listed hours.

I love coming to this place or ordering take out late at night. I have been reading up on the reviews about having terrible service, but I do not experience any trouble whenever I go. The service isn't extraordinary, but I do not believe this place is a 3 star place. The servers today were very nice and swift with their work, but nothing that stands out. I am a very big food person, and this place satisfies all my Korean food cravings. Me and my girlfriend ordered the Spam Kimbap, the Cold Soba Noodles, and the Kimchi Fried Rice. We haven't dined in for a while, but this time around, the portions were massive. For starters, they bought out couple of side dishes. And there was this new rice cake with red bean paste that tasted yummy. For the main dishes, I would recommend opting for the Spam Kimbap rather than the beef. I feel like there's more flavor with the spam. And their portions are HUGE! Next, the Kimchi Fried Rice tasted very nice. The only thing we wished was that there was more kimchi. The cold soba noodles always hit for me. However, I felt like the noodles were not cooked long enough or were bad, but they were really chewy for some reason. Overall, today's experience wasn't the best in the food aspect, but it still hit the spot nonetheless. The ambiance of this place is a casual sit down restaurant. There is plenty of parking outside when you come late at night. The music they play is very hip and modern. Don't let the 3.6 stars fool you from having a great time here! I will be back for more.

Don't go late to this restaurant. During the day the food and the service is great. At late night after 10 pm the service goes to 1 star. The servers purposely look the other way so they do not need to attend to you. Very disappointing. I will warn all my friends.

This place was giving "late night Korean diner" in the best way possible. We were driving back to LA from Palms Springs and needed to stop somewhere for a quick late night dinner. The restaurant is located in an unassuming plaza that I used to visit with my family growing up. Very much a no-frills Korean joint but the food here absolutely revived us. There was no wait when we walked in late in a Sunday night. They had many great dishes on the menu but I ended up ordering the beef bulgogi stone plate and an order of fried mandu to share. Our food came out quickly and was served piping hot alongside complimentary banchan. The banchan was so so good. The radish kimchi and braised potatoes were the best. This was one of the best meals I've had in a while and warmed us up from the inside out. Our servers were attentive and friendly as well. Excellent food and quality at the late hours of the night. Will definitely be back if ever passing through town again.

My family enjoys coming here and it was THE late night spot to be going. My sisters had already ate, but I was craving it so we decided to go.Wow. I do not recommend coming here at this time unless you want your mood to be spoiled by the service. We ordered and Helen gave us an unbelievable amount of attitude in a condescending manner because "we just ordered a beef combo". Insinuating we did not order enough and scoffed when I said that was all. We were not given all the side dishes and only noticed upon looking at the other tables. We were given two bowls of rice when we had requested three. I decided to not mention this because we felt like it was enough. When I took a look at the check we were charged for two bowls when the combo comes with one. When I mentioned this, we saw that Helen was going to grab another bowl of rice and give it to us after we had finished our meal. The other server had stopped her and she begrudgingly fixed it. We felt very uncomfortable and disappointed. We had such good memories of this place throughout the years and to say that we are disappointed is an understatement. I hope management does something about the service.

Love this place for late night food but the quality is questionable. I don't recommend any of the cold noodles. They are way too over cooked and mushy and the flavors are off. However the soups are good!

This was my first visit to this place. I arrived at 10 PM, and there was a decent number of customers already. We were seated promptly and given the menu. I decided to try the bossam, which I had never had before, and I ordered it as a combo with the sulungtang. The bossam was absolutely delicious! It tasted great with the lettuce, pickled radish, and the brown sauce (I don't know its name). Each bite of the bossam, followed by a sip of the hot sulungtang, was exactly what I needed on a late night. I will definitely return to this place!

I've frequented this area of town for years but have never came across this hidden gem! I normally go to BCD tofu house, but Yei San is definitely better! We dined in with a large party and they still were able to serve us fast and efficiently, close to closing time! Our server Samuel was friendly and went above and beyond as he was the only server on the floor at this time. I ordered a combination plate with bulgogi and kimchew stew. Serving sizes are generous and the unlimited sides are delicious! They have a tv with music videos and music going on in the background. Inside is kind of small so I may imagine a wait when they are busy but if you go at the right time you should be ok!
