Absolutely love this gem of a Chinese deli! Their buns are beyond compare - fluffy, flavorful, and always fresh. A must-visit for authentic bites and a stay that feels just right. Highly recommend!

I thought it was very expensive (for what you get) and that the food tasted terrible. The texture of my dumplings were below average with the taste being average. $11 for 8 dumplings. My soy milk didn't taste anything like what I was expecting. It tasted more like a soup. Very strange. I've never had soy milk that bad before. The freezer in the main dining room was making a huge sound, obviously in need of repairs, which ruined the ambiance of the entire dining area. It doesn't appear that anyone is working there is concerned over these deficiencies. Between the high prices and low quality of food, I don't think I'll ever be back.

My kids are in love with the fan tuan here. Every bite is filled with sticky rice, crunchy Chinese donut, dried pork sung and pickled veggies. It's the perfect on the go meal and it keeps well. The Chinese donut does get a bit soggy though. I am a fan of their juicy pork dumplings and the meat/veggie steamed bun. On our last visit, we tried the sweet soy drink. It came unsweetened and you have to add your own sugar. I was not a fan of the overly roasted flavor. It's a bit hard to order if you don't speak Chinese. I don't come here for the service, but they gotta stop being so stingy with napkins and spoons. There was five people in my party and they only gave us two spoons and exactly five napkins. It was hard to flag anyone down for more utensils and napkins. Oh yeah, bring your own water because they don't provide any!

I ordered a bowl of Shepherd's Purse Wontons when driving by LA as shown in the picture. It was extremely worthless. I don’t know other items they are selling but as least this one is horrible.

Been coming here since I was a kid but my god has the price gone up. Always have been a fan of the salty rice roll and egg omelet. Glad to see that this place is still around after all these years.

I'm going to start with the food because if I start with the service or the cleanliness, things go down pretty quickly. The food is SO good. I've been eating at this place for more than 20 years, and it's gone through a lot of changes but one thing that remains is that the food is super tasty! I love the sweet hot soy milk, egg, scallion pancake, Chinese tamale, fried donut, fried radish cake, rice roll...all so great! You can also get stuff to go and I highly recommend a few of the zong za. The staff? Not overly friendly. Tables are not cleaned up too quickly. Smells like a side street in Taiwan outside. BUT- if you can get past all that, you will love this place.

Food is OK, authentic, but not that impressive. Definitely on the pricey side.

My favorite place for Taiwanese breakfast in the 626. Prices have gone up quite a bit over the years so no longer a cheap spot but still tasty. My go to is the salted rice roll, the shao bing you tiao, and the iced sweetened soy milk. Other delights include the pork belly gua bao, the tea eggs, and egg pancake. Thankfully this place takes credit card too. Order at the counter and they will bring all the food to you, including the prepackaged items on display. It's usually pretty busy in the morning but you can usually find a seat since it's a spot for a quick meal.
