The food was enjoyable. The service was a bit lacking during 6pm service due to only 3 servers. The restaurant is decorated very nice and clean and modern for small restaurant. It needs more customers but competition in the area is high. I hope the business does well.

I came here often. It's the original food.. because it comes from the headquarters...It's deliciousThe rice was old so I asked for it again (now even young people know new rice and old rice...)The side dishes.... since you pay money to eat them, it shouldn't be something that makes you "suspicious."The non-reusable cabbage was the freshest, so I ate all of it. The rest is left behind by my boyfriend, who is the most picky person in the world. It's my first time seeing you. There are no people during the peak weekend... while talking. There was a reason...I think the head office needs to do a quick inspection here.Anyway, foreigners don't care about the color of side dishes, so I'm writing this for Koreans only.

This place surprised me. This place was super yummy. It was less than 5 minutes away from my friends house. This was our dinner before our big race. We wanted to eat semi clean.Food: We had the premium Pork Belly and the original Yuk Gae Jang. It was enough for four hungry people.Service: I really liked the service, they were fairly busy but kept everyone in rotation with service and refills. They did a great job here.Ambiance: Clean, well lit and clean. Great spot to taste Korean Food if you want to mix up your palette in this cuisine. 5/5.

Don't hesitate to give this place a try if you haven't yet! Ordered the original yukgaejang ramyun and the flavors were bursting in my mouth! I could eat this everyday! Spice level for this dish I'd say is a 5/10 which was perfect to my liking and I loved the texture of the ramyun. Advisory for the extra spicy: I tried a few spoonfuls from a friends bowl and you feel the heat the second it hits your tongue, still super yummy and perfect if you're looking for something something with extra spice. The bossam was cherry on top - pictured is a medium. Our party of 9 split two medium orders and this was more than enough food for us very hungry people. The restaurant has enough space to accommodate large parties. We came for an early dinner and there was no wait. Service was the best part about our visit and truly top tier. The owner (from what it seemed) was so friendly and kind. He and the rest of the associates made sure we were well taken care of. Definitely a new favorite spot for me and my friends

We've been here a few times to have tried various things from their menu. The kids size Brisket Bone Soup with ramen instead of clear noodles is my toddler's favorite. Their ramen noodles are chewy, bouncy, and a delicious twist to the traditional Yukgae Jang dish. Not to mention their delicious banchans and traditional Korean tableware. All in all, a good spot for a soupy and/or spicy meal. As tasty as their food is, it's packed with MSG and guaranteed to put you into a msg-induced nap. Also, the soups do not have a clean aftertaste- something that would only be noticeable to a true Korean food palette able to detect the difference between and homemade meal vs restaurant prepped. Their service is good and very accommodating to groups of different sizes.

Pairs of us got the lunch special 1. Yukgaejang Ramyun & Mini Bossam and our table shared a Yukgaejang Hot Pot w/ glass noodle. The lunch special is a really good deal to share between two people and try two of the restaurant's category dishes. Portions were great. If you get the hot pot, eat the noodles first lest they overcook. Bossam pork could've been more tender. No issues with service. I like the simple, clean, wide interior.

My first time in this restaurant.4 stars for the service.Staffs were very friendly. However the food does not meet the standards for the price they are charging. Taste of food is very blended. One time experience is okay not twice. You can have much better food options for the prices in my opinion.

I came here with my brother and mom after an event. We chose to get the medium bossam ($45.99) and budaejjigae ($47.99) to share. The lady came with plenty of sides for the bossam such as sliced cabbage to wrap the pork belly with bowls of kimchi, ssamjang, saeujot (fermented shrimp, very salty), sliced garlic and jalapeños, pickled radish salad, and purple rice. She brought out kimchi, white pickled cabbage, green onion salad, and fish cakes for banchans. My brother liked the budaejjigae more which is a hot spicy broth of spam, ramen noodles, rice cakes, kimchi, and tofu. It was served family style on a table stove. The staff was nice and attentive. The parking lot can get packed.

I was excited to try Yuk Dae Jang especially given all the high ratings on Yelp. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and had no issues grabbing a table. We decided to order a small order of the Bossam ($21.99), Handcrafted Mandu & Rice Cake in Ox Bone Broth ($18.99) and the Original YukgaeJang with Fresh Pasta ($19.99). Our order also came with complimentary banchan of kimchee, fishcake , and green onions. Our food came in about 15-20 minutes and everything was delicious and flavorful. The Bossam in particular tasted very garlic forward when dipped with the sauce so just as a forewarning if you're not a huge fan of garlic. Personally, I'm a garlic lover so this was perfect! The fresh pasta was my favorite part of the Yukgaejang dish and the soup of the Ox Bone Broth waa my favorite of that dish. If I could have combined the soup of the Ox Bone Broth with the fresh pasta, it would have been divine! The restaurant is clean and spacious and I really enjoyed the food. The only reason I'm giving Yuk Dae Jang 4 Stars as opposed to 5 is because of the service. The wait staff took our order and brought out our food, but outside of that, we were barely checked on. Normally I wouldn't mind that much, but we were hoping to get a refill of banchan but that proved difficult as our servers barely come by.

Came here to try out since we've been to their Buena Park location a few times. The bossam was good and came with several condiments. The service could have been better as they never came around to refill our drinks nor checked to see how we were doing. Good sized dining room but was lacking atmosphere. Overall the food is good but the service needs improvement.

Second time having Bossam (Korean pork belly) but this one is defs better. The flavor of the pork was delicious and even though it's steamed, the texture and flavor of the outside isnt bland with that weird texture that pork sometimes has. Tried the Yuk Gae Jang Glass Noodles for the first time and I can see why Koreans like to end their meal with this soup. It pulled the entire meal together so nicely. I also had the ramen and that was delish... I prefer it over the glass noodles. Add some of the purple rice and ohhhh so good.
