Our server was super nice! My husband (no fault to the food, it was fantastic) chipped his tooth bc of an existing problem, but she was so concerned and made sure we were taken care of.Answered all our questions about the menu, and everything was great.

Poor service. Went there with fam. Waited 20 min in the heat outside. Afterwards, they don’t provide a table for reservation which does not show up.

You can enjoy Korean and Japanese cuisine here(More focused on Korean). Not a super fancy restaurant, but you can have home-made style food and it is quite good(Pancake was thicker than usual but except that, I like all food here). I have dinner at least once every 2 weeks here.

It was my first time, so I had only limited experience but definitely I was not happy with foods and service I had. This fusion restaurant serves mostly Korean dishes with some Japanese and Mexican style options. I am a lover of spicy foods but spicy chicken wings were super super hot, which I think top 1 % may enjoy. I was told it would be spicy but the gochjang sauce was much much hotter than I usually expect, and left 7 out of 10 wings. Shrimp tempura was very disappointing. It looked and tasted like ready made frozen food and warmed. As I didn’t have try all other food on menus, I can’t tell other foods someone may like but the first impression was so bad for me.When we dine in at the restaurant, we expect something else, nice atmosphere, clean stuff, friendly service as well as foods. Aura, in terms of the modern style setting and cleanness, it’s okay, but I’m not sure Aura staff is friendly and kind. Aura, which means “come on” in Korean, but I felt like I was not welcomed and thought it’s like Gara, “go away” in Korean.Hope Aura gets better and have more customers happy with its foods and service.

This place reminds me of somewhere I used to go in Korea. Quaint, simple, and warm. Just a neighborhood 'shikdang'. The staff are super friendly and always making sure things are good. The style is no frills Korean comfort food, kind of like eating at someones home. If you are expecting a AYCE k-bbq experience, this is not that. We got soji cocktails, crab cakes, soondubu, and galbi. Everything was flavorfully! They were out of the kimchi stew, so ill definitely be back to try that.

This place was SUPER hyped up to me and it turned out to be pretty good!!! Although they didn't have the one thing on the menu we went for (a seafood soup?), everything else was so good. The crazy fries are crazy good. Our waitress was great! We ordered sake bombs and she kept them coming and kept our glasses full all night. The food was fresh and hot. I got the curry katsu and highly recommend!

I want to start by saying I probably didn't order the correct items. The way we ordered the yangyum chicken with the sauce on the side was to please the table on spicy level. The sauce is spicy, but it would have tasted better if the chicken was covered in it like it normally is. This was not a fair assessment of the item. The chicken katsu bibimbap was actually a nice fusion item. The minor issue I had was that it didn't have enough of the red sauce, which is kind of the driving force for the bibimbap. But the chicken katsu and the fried egg were perfect. Maybe next time I'll ask for more sauce on the side. But there are other items I want to try first.

My fiancé and I ordered the tofu soup, the chicken Katsu bibimbab and the yangnyeom chicken. The tofu soup was amazing, the bibimbap was great, not too impressed with the chicken. Friendly staffs and cute little place. We'll come back to try other items on their menu.

Pretty much only Korean BBQ food. It was decent, a bit pricey.

I’ve been coming to Aura for a few years and this was the first time I have left extremely disappointed. I have an hour for lunch during work and saw online that the place was closing at 2:30 pm. We arrived at 1:45 and they turned us away. I am not sure why and I wasted almost a quarter of my lunch hour going there. This is extremely frustrating and extremely rude. I honestly feel it is in the restaurant’s responsibility to practice professionalism and update their hours to the correct times. If the restaurant closes early, please say so on your website. I will not be returning to Aura because there is no logical way for me to know if they will be open or not upon my arrival. I will take my money elsewhere. Sorry Aura, you can do better than this.

I've been visiting Aura for years, though not as much now that I live and work further away from it. They're still fantastic and it's nice to be recognized even though I don't eat there as often. They were the first restaurant I took photos of back when I started posting as a guide and I am glad to see they survived the shutdown and are still wonderful. The neighborhood would be lesser without them.

oh no I got food poisoning here. I thought the food looks kind of weird and smelled a little odd but I kept eating. I paid hard for a literal week. I know this place has a reputation for food poisoning and I ignored it. I wanted to go somewhere local and unfortunately they're just really dirty here. Next time I'll go to a place that is slightly cleaner and I won't get food poisoning. Such a bummer.

It was 5 pm and a friend and I walked up to the door to enter, but as we were doing this a staff member inside ran quickly to lock the door on us. Apparently they weren't read to open for business but used the worst method to not communicate this message to a couple old customers. We are not coming back again.

Yes, there are many of us that find Aura to be a nice restaurant. Appetizers are the best, we love the deep fried gyozas with that outstanding soy sauce, and the Korokke or Japanese potato cakes. They have a good selection of drinks, I must say. Food is definitely above average compared with other Korean-Japanese places; however, not as tasty as it used to be (in my opinion). Anyway, better than most for sure. Any of the BBQs options are very very good. The salmon is delicious, there are some opportunities for the Bi-Bim-Bap. The restaurant deco is lovely; some TLC needed here and there, though. Customer service/server service might give you the wrong impression since sometimes comes out as rude. I would say it is not intentional but I give you the heads up so that doesn't ruin your dining experience.

I love it here!! I walk here from my house because it's a great local bite to eat. It tends to be quiet during their midday hours, but at night it gets a little busier but I understand why because it's delicious. I always get the chicken curry, the hostess is always incredibly pleasant.
