This is a great little Thai restaurant. I have been a customer for years, but never reviewed them. My bad. They are busy with both take out and dine in, but wait time to get food is good. They have a fairly extensive menu and I haven't had anything I didn't like.
4/4/24. Pouring down rain and I was craving Tom Yum soup! Also, I couldn't stop thinking bout the Pad Thai at Thai Orchid in Citrus Heights, so I tried to look for that same Pad Thai around Natomas. We drove here and ordered at the counter. EVERY ONE HERE IS SUPER NICE! I gave 3 to 4 stars for the food, but their service here is OUTSTANDING! Simple gestures of kindness goes a long way. 3/5 stars. Pad Thai Chicken & Shrimp $14.95+ Pan fried rice stick noodles with prawns, chicken, eggs, bean sprouts, fried tofu and green onions - Flavorful! More on the sweeter side than savory. I think what's difficult is that I'm comparing it to the pad thai at Thai Orchid. I just loved how it had that subtle umami shrimp, chicken and especially egg flavor that kept me craving for more without being drowsy/sleepy. On a positive note, I love how BGK gives you large portions of bean sprouts, cabbage, shrimp, chicken and tofu. Still delicious! 3/5 stars. BGK Special Pad Thai $15.95+ Comes with Chicken, Shrimp, Tofu, bean sprouts and shredded cabbage. You can choose, red or green or yellow curry. - Fiancé almost ate all of it but he started getting drowsy and sleepy so he stopped. Still delicious! The curry noodles are drenched in curry. Lots of flavorful umami! I love the curry flavor! Big chunks of shrimp, chicken and tofu. This reminds me of a some what asian fusion. Never had curry pad thai in my life lol. 4/5 stars. Tom Yum Vegetable Soup $5.95+. Lemongrass, mushrooms, tomatoes, onion, galangal, kaffir leaves. - Since I chose the vegetable option, it had big pieces of cilantro, lettuce, zucchini, and carrots. More on the sweeter size. The vegetables took a way a bit of the flavor, but I loved how they gave me a regular size tub instead of a cup. Also, they gave lots of vegetables and I love veggies! Delicious! The ambiance of the place seems like an authentic Thai restaurant. Beautiful orchids and shrine decoration at the front. It wasn't busy when we came in at 5PM, so it was calm and peaceful. Need to try other things in their menu. If I'm craving Tom Yum soup, I'll definitely come back here. Happy eat's ya'll!

I am a regular customer that order pick up from the restaurant. I usually order Larb & BBQ Chicken. Today Larb is very cold and BBQ Chicken is so hard and cold. I called to the restaurant and the manager said Thai style suppose to serve cold. I am sorry but I am Thai too, so I know how it suppose to be. Also, if you serve me like this first time, I would never keep going back to order from you. Chicken is also over cook and very hard. I am not sure they just pre heat the order since I order food around 1:45pm.I would like to echo this message to the owner that I am very disappointed. Also, the server picked up the phone asked me what I want her to do. I feel she should apologize for the mistake no matter what. Service minded is very important but seem like she does not get train properly.

The food was overpriced for what it was and we did not enjoy it, but the main problem with this place and the ONLY reason I bothered with leaving a review is because after I paid and the bank statement was closed I realized they overcharged me by about 10 dollars. When I called them to fix this problem I talked to the host, she told me this happened a few times before, she told me that the managers were not there that day and that they would call me back to resolve this issues they never called or bothered. So instead of fighting to get my 10 dollars back I'll leave this review. So pay cash if you come here I guess lol.

So disappointed because we want to love this place... The first time we came here, we LOVED the food. We ordered the vegan drunken noodles and the smoked eggplant. But they didn't have some of their menu items, saying they lacked ingredients. The dishes were tasty albeit quite oily. And we were excited they have their own vegan menu. The second time, ordered pickup. On the phone they told me it would be 30 minutes. I get there, and they tell me there's a line of orders and it will be another 20. Not a word of apology. Food was ok, but not as great as the first time we went. Plus the menu items were still not available. The third time, months later, the menu item is still not available. Why is it listed on the menu?? We wait a long time to get our order taken. We order the mama drunken noodles, they come out with the drunken noodles. Annoyed but it's ok. Then we see that the tofu didn't come with it. Again not a word of apology, they seem mad at us for asking for the tofu, which they give to us dry. They don't offer to remake the dish. The service is not good. We were so annoyed by the service, we are not interested in going back. And the quality is not consistent. They also don't have itemized receipts - they use a written system which is a pain and time sink for both customers and employees, please modernize your systems!

The staff are all wonderful. I love the options on their new Vegan menu. All of the dishes in my group from their regular menu smelled great and looked awesome.Vegetarian options: They offer a full page of vegan options and the staff were extremely helpful.
Bangkok Garden is an absolute must-visit. The food is authentic and flavorful, and the service is top-notch. Bangkok Garden will exceed your expectations. Highly recommended!

I am vegan a stumbled upon this place by accident but boy am I glad I did! They have a full vegan menu. The vibes are vibin'. It gives meditate on how good the food is while you eat. The servers are so sweet. They are understaffed currently so if it's super busy be prepared to wait. I never even notice the wait though because I am always vibin and chatting with my loved ones and just enjoying the ambiance until my food comes. My fav is the garlic fried rice and vegan egg rolls (cooked to crispy perfection!). They are open from 11-3 and 5-9 except closed last Monday of the month. Haven't had the meat dishes of course but my Babe enjoyed her fried rice and egg rolls as well. Great place to go to feed the vegan and the omnivore

I have ordered door dash pickup from here twice now. Definitely recommend! Food is always fresh and flavorful, and they always pack it up so perfect. Caution: spicy IS SPICY, so beware!! Lol Only critique I have is that they're always busy, so pickup times for food are never accurate. You will be waiting for a while. But don't let that persuade you away, food is bomb.

My go to Thai place! Some of the best food around! My favorite dish is Spicy with white meat chicken. It's SO flavorful ordered spicy or mild, I usually get medium. It's perfectly cooked chicken breast with bamboo, Thai basil, peppers, onions and a delicious chili sauce...incredible!! The chicken satay and Thai egg rolls are absolutely delicious! The drunken noodle with shrimp is also wonderful. The staff is so friendly and the restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere with dark wood and relaxing instrumental music and fish tanks. I could literally eat there everyday! I'm getting hungry for it just typing this. Family owned for decades moved locations but still the same wonderful food. GO, you won't be disappointed!!
