I was surprised to see two menu items with Dungeness crab and both under $20!!! I decided to try the Dungeness Crab Louie! I also had the butternut squash soup. The soup had some walnuts and cranberries on top of the creamy, favorable soup. It was a delicious start to my lunch. The Crab Louie was so good! There was a generous amount of crab, a whole boiled egg, a generous amount of avocado (looked like half), plenty of cherry tomatoes, crispy, fresh romaine, and Louie dressing. A sourdough roll topped it off. I was very impressed with not only the quality of the ingredients but the freshness of everything and all for an unexpected price! Dining out has become so expensive with food costs and increased wages for servers, etc. These added costs have given me pause when tipping. If servers are now being paid a more reasonable wage and food costs have trebled at some restaurants, I am reluctant and even beginning to balk at giving 20% of my purchase. It appears that this restaurant may have considered that as well. I say that because the "suggested tip" amounts include a 10% suggestion. I really appreciate that. Service was good and the atmosphere was inviting. I also walked away with a loaf of sourdough bread because I belong to the rewards program! I will definitely return soon to try the other Dungeness crab offering before it leaves the menu.

Don't want to drive to San Francisco for a clam chowder in a bread bowl? Well you're in luck! We have our own Boudin in our backyard. This is our go to for Fridays during Lent! The clam chowder, crab and corn chowder and over carb fest is the best here! The soup is piping hot! Just how I love it! It's a reasonable price and don't forget to join their customer club because you earn free bread and discounts. Always look forward to our visits here! Our only complaint is that they close too darn early!

The French Dip Deluxe is a good sandwich because you can dip it in the gravy it comes with. I had a Turkey sandwich and I honestly think you need metal spiked teeth to eat this sandwich, as the bread is literally tough as nails. I ate half of it because my mouth could no longer take the pain. Not sure how all the old people in this restaurant can manipulate it since I am about 30 years younger than them. I bought a loaf of sourdough sliced bread It was good.

I went to the one off Fair Oaks and at this time no one was there. Normally the other times I have gone it's normally packed with a consistent crowd. It has been a while since I visited this store. For this time around I just got a bread bowl to go. I like their bread bowls. I got one to go and I asked if they could cut the bread bowl. He took my money and then went to go get one. I thought to myself I hope he changes gloves after handling money. But thankfully I saw the worker plop one pre wrapped in the bag. It was pre-cut. But I do hope in the future when he does handle any currency, that there will be no form of cross contamination. Other than that he greeted me graciously and was happy to take my order. But you decide if this place is for you!

In addition to my lunch, I ordered a pastry, a mini coffee cake. I was given a cellophane wrapped, half frozen brick that smelled like a smelly refrigerator. Ever since covid all Boudin's have really gone downhill.

Not disappointed! I really enjoyed the toasted chicken club sandwich and the pastrami melt.

Best grilled cheeses! Server is usually ok, as well as service. Restraunt is clean, but the bathrooms usually don't have the toilets flushed and toilets are dirty. And no wifi? Tf

Tried the open face crab melt special. It had enough crab, but was a little dry. Thought it would have cheese or something that would make it a melt but did not. Overall, it was still good, but not great. I would try something else next time.

I ordered the Dungeness crab gift at $152.99 for a birthday gift It was very poor quality. I have been trying to contact Boudin to discuss this but it appears no one works in customer service. They say click here for live chat and then it shows that that is not available. Leave a message. I left two messages, and have yet to hear anything back from Boudin's. they clearly have no interest in customer support or product quality. Do not waste your money. It will be the last thing I ever buy from Boudin bakery.

No. Butternut Squash. Soup. The butternut squash soup is off the menu due to dungeness crab season, for the first time in our memory of patronizing Boudin. The vegetable soup alternates of tomato or broccoli cheddar are not good substitutes. If something needed to be removed from the menu because crab is in season, why not take off the clam chowder which is also seafood? Here in Northern California, butternut squash is also in season, and they are harvesting this winter squash this very month. We are off to your competitors to find a hearty winter soup , hopefully one without cheese.
