What a great hidden gem in downtown Sac! I stopped by after lunch, and they made an excellent Americano with great flavor that hit the spot. I always love a coffee shop with a great ambiance, and this place fits the bill. Stop in; you won't be disappointed!

Great hidden gem on K Street. It is just a coffee stand but there are plans to expand. The drinks are delicious and unique. I ordered a chocolate old fashioned cappuccino and a Midnight Munchies Latte. They were out of chocolate milk so one drink was substituted. I'm not sure what I got from the original order and what was substituted. But they were both great. One had a nice sweet cream topping that complimented the coffee well. The owner is extremely nice. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Light the Bean!!! Wow, amazing coffee. Full mouth flavor like I've only had once or twice before. Extra care taken in brewing and fun to watch them work their magic. Kind of spot you would expect to find in Portland or Seattle. Sac is lucky to have them. Can't wait for full brick and mortar to open.

Great choice of coffee and unique experience. I would describe it as the craft brewer of coffee. Everything from your pilsner basic coffee bean to your funky hazy IPA coffee bean. Really enjoyed it!

It just keeps getting better.Bob says he signed a lease and is working on remodeling the space. He's already set up some tables and chairs outside for people who want to hang out a bit.The coffee selection continues to develop in interesting ways as he builds his relationships with roasters. He's now getting limited items that you wouldn't be able to order online. And with his new freezer space, he'll be able to create a "library" much like a sommelier might do for wine. There's a solid mix of familiar and novelty.Still haven't found anyone anywhere who can pull a more flavorful shot (with a humble Flair 58). Can't wait to see what he does with the new Mavams he's getting! I saw he's working on some sniff jars which are infinitely more informative than just tasting notes.The sky really is the limit in what he can create. I sincerely think this will be a destination for people from outside of Sac before long. I'm just grateful I discovered Burnside early enough to watch the growth.

I rarely leave reviews but the the fact that we get to choose our own coffee beans, the barista’s recommendations, as well as quality of products used were all on point! If you are in Sac, give this place a try.
