We went here to celebrate two birthdays. Lunch did not disappoint. The owner’s wife was so sweet and accommodating for our baby. The food was delicious! I have been chasing the Italian food high since we came back from visiting. This little gem is an amazing family owned restaurant and we cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu…also do not skip dessert ?you’re welcome

A true gem! Everything about our experience was just lovely. Get the bread and butter (!), the sides were amazing, the cacio de peppe lived up to the hype, and the special was great. All around would recommend to anyone! A reservation is a must, this place was packed.

Pasta was good. Service was good. Bruchetta was literally burnt. Like bitter-burnt where that's all you can taste is burnt toast. I asked if it's supposed to be that way and the waitress said yes. I guess the other 100 times I've eaten toasted Bruchetta, they served there's rare with only toasted bread rather than literal black coal. My guess is they just cooked it to long and figured it would be fine.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant Italian restaurant in Sacramento and I think it's also the best the city has to offer. Their hours are a bit limited because they're a mom and pop run restaurant but that adds to the personal touch you get when the owner is the one also serving you their amazing dishes. I love how their menu changes constantly to keep it fresh and local ingredients although they keep some of their staples on there year round.

They are always there waiting tables and making the food themselves, just one of the many things that sets them apart from any other restaurant.I'm so glad to have found this gem while in Sacramento, and will miss their food all the way from Kansas. Visiting Davis for parents weekend, the kid wanted a nice Italian dinner, and so we came here. We were lucky to get a reservation, to seat at the counter, and we were not disappointed.We went for the pasta dishes that our waiter recommended and they were so good. The pasta was perfectly prepared. The sauces were very flavorful. I would definitely recommend it here for a nice evening out.

Seriously, the owner told me she doesn’t get any reviews because all the regulars don’t want to spread the word and lose their chance at a reservation!This place is authentic Italian homemade food and they change their menu every month! Tremendous variety and creativity. Yes it’s true. It’s always crowded and best to make a reservation and get there super early. I’m extremely picky and health conscious eater and have trouble dining out because most places are using inferior ingredients and mass producing their entrées especially chain joints like PF Chang’s.The small venue is tucked away in a quiet strip mall just off the interstate 5. Has great decorations and also a nice counter seating area. maybe you’ll read reviews saying difficult parking, but if you care more about food than easy parking, maybe you should make the effort! Also, if you simply go around the back of the mall, you’ll find plenty of open spots!I had a butternut squash cream pasta one time and risotto another time. You know when you get up from a large Italian meal and feel stuffed and uncomfortable? Well, you can eat well here and get up and feel great. That’s the difference between consuming freshly made top quality ingredients and having processed foods.

We took our colleague out for his birthday. Mind you on this day the parking lot was being worked on, and parking was a NIGHTWARE! That said, we could not have asked for a better meal. Katie was wonderful. They even put "Happy Birthday" on the menu for us.We enjoyed ourselves immensely. This restaurant never let me down. I will continue to recommend it for lovers of great Italian food and wine!None of my colleagues have visited the restaurant previous, but I have and raved about it. Needless to say they all loved it, and a planning on coming back.
