The food was off a little. Do not remember the muscles having cream in them. Fish stew would have been better with some fennel and orange peel. Butter lettuce and the beet salad not as we remembered. All off except the dessert.

I had the halibut special. It was mushy. The beet salad needed more flavor and/or seasoning. My spouse was happy with the pork. We arrived at 5:30, had to wait a significant amount of time for the salad, and it was after 6:30 before our entree arrived. We were here in January during restaurant week with a 5:15 reservation and were out within the hour after enjoying the 3-course meal special. The bœuf bourguignon we had in January was excellent. The restaurant seemed equally busy both times. I will avoid the specials in the future.

The pate was amazing as well as the confit, the gnocchi and pork. The French onion soup was a bit watery however and the escargot a bit under the mark, but all else was elegant and well worth the visit. Will certainly visit again and try some other options. All in all a wonderful place for a nice dinner out. The staff were kind and made for a lively evening, not intrusive but always attentive. Bravo!

The perfect place to celebrate a birthay. the eroom was full of early diners going to th opera, the Madona concert or other downtown evnet. The food was amazing; a filet that was so tender it was like cutting through butter, and perfectly cooked. The pate was smooth and full of flavor. Dessert was my favorite creme brulee. I have been coming to Brasserie du Monde for years and it just keeps getting better.

With a 5:30 reservation we hadn't ordered by 6:15. Was cutting it short to make our theater date. Staff was rushing as much as they could but they must have been overbooked. This is a favorite for us.

Amazing meal and atmosphere with everything expected of a French dining experience. Great location for a pre-concert meal and parking was easy. Our server was simply the only one in a three part dining room and the bartender had to bring food items. She was trying hard to cover multiple tables without help. The hostess had great energy and likely could have helped. Overall great and I will be back

The bread was warm and the butter deliciously salted. The scallops were great and the filet was also very good. The server was attentive as well. A lovely experience all all around.

The French onion soup was excellent! Caviar was fresh & crunchy making for a lovely experience. The duck pate was good too. Our waitress was attentive & answered all our questions. Our main dishes (short ribs & scallops) were yummy. Desserts were fabulous. All in all a memorable & satisfying experience. We will return soon.

Really easy spot to be and get a coffee or matcha.Lots of sitting space (benches - tables - sofas). The coffee was really great too. And cute they have vhs films playing on a tiny tv behind the counter.

We came in on Sunday evening before a show. The restaurant was quiet and yet the service was very average. Our entrees came with warm French fries (they had clearly been sitting a few minutes). The dessert was good, we ordered 2 for a table of 4 people yet somehow only ever received 2 spoons even though we had indicated we were sharing. The coffee was cold, they had to remake one. Average experience overall.

Food was delicious for all 4 of us . Only the rum baba was off, too dry. Rum should have soaked the babas. Waitress was very busy handling at least 5 tables but she was understanding about us taking our time to order. This is one of the best restaurants in Sacramento.

My husband and I went here for the first time last night. There were a couple of little glitches, but they were handled well. Our server, Alex, was great! I had the gnocchi and it was unbelievably delicious! My husband had the boeuf bourguignon and it was yummy. The drinks, I had the Honey Badger and my husband had Zac's ginger & whiskey sour, both were lovely! They had a trio of musicians that started around 6 pm and they were perfect! Loved every second. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes and drinks!

Oysters and tartare were delicious. There was a lovely jazz singer but I couldn't hear her over the music being played in overhead speakers. Asked for it to be turn off twice to no avail. The ceiling vent was clogged with dust and many items could use a deep cleaning. Overall, service was great and ambiance was as expected in a French restaurant.

Overall excellent restaurant. Food was traditional French. Service was very attentive. Wine was also not over priced. Had four appertizers, one salad, one main entree, one dessert and two bottles. 355 including tip. Very good for value.
