Good food and service!! Highly recommend when you're in the downtown Sacramento area!

I was with my students for convention in Sacramento. We stopped at Cafeteria 15L for breakfast. Although I love to support small businesses, I was extremely grateful for the no wait list, and ample space to accomodate 6 people. The service was impeccable. Our server was very attentive to our needs and time. I truly wished I had remembered her name correct but I think her name is Becca? I ordered the Cafeteria skillet and it was slightly salty because of the cheese but it was absolutely delicious nonetheless. The tator tots were very crispy. My student who ordered the pancakes commented on its flavor and fluffiness. All students loved their food. I would definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

This place came well recommended and had not been here before, but it was absolutely terrible. First, the servers and hostesses seemed way more interested in theirselves over anything else. It was busy (not overly), but you could not hear whatsoever it was as loud as watching a train go by next to you. The waitress was decent enough, and kind of felt bad my 87- year old grandpa hit on her a few times, but she did a decent job. As far as the food, it was the worst part. It left a horrific after taste in your mouth, not sure if it's the oil they cook with or what (I originally thought it was the cheese of the omelet but everybody else had it too). The breakfast potatoes were bland, and the toast had zero butter, there were no options for jelly either, and wasn't even toasted. It was incredibly overpriced for what it was. There were also a few weird foreign objects in the omelet I had that added to the failure. The waitress never asked how our food was or came over to check, otherwise we would have said something. Most it wasn't her fault (certainly not the food portion), but she was on her own maybe below average at best. Overall, it seemed the people working there and the vibe of the place was more for Instagram pictures and downtown vibes and looks than actually having good quality food. It was my first and last visit to this place - and I cannot recommend this place to anybody else. I doubt the restaurant even cares enough to read or respond to this review, which would be par for the course and another reason not to come here. Stay away!!

Have come here for recruiting events and other business-related functions. Service is excellent, attentive staff who are helpful and courteous. Parking is terrible unless you get lucky w/ street parking. There is a connected lot for $25, but otherwise it's fend-for-yourself on the surface streets. You're nearby some of the downtown homeless areas, so be careful where you end up leaving your car. A homeless guy made his way into our event and ended up eating sliders and interrupting before the staff caught him and kicked him out. Food is good here. Drinks are tasty and well made. Prices are a little bit on the higher side, but the selection and the ambiance is very nice. A social atmosphere with good energy for mingling and catching up w/ old friends. One side note - the outdoor patio area is TERRIBLE for speeches and holding an audience. If you're trying to hold a retirement or give announcements, the sound will dissipate way too quickly and there are too many places for folks to get caught in separate conversations. Plenty of meeting/gathering places if you're having a smaller event or just a gathering of 1-2 tables of friends.

We came here for brunch after a walk through Capital Park because it looked like a fun place, and guess what: it was. A fun atmosphere, good food, good service, and not too expensive. I ordered a bottomless mimosa and the servers ensured it almost never reached empty. Recommended.

Very cute restaurant for a quick lunch. I'm sad because I wanted the shrimp pasta but they did not have on the menu :( so I just got the 'cafeteria burger with pepper jack cheese ' and my mom got the 2 egg avocado toast her meal was perfect, my burger came with thin fries ( really salty but ketchup helped ). Our waiter had the whole outside by herself and she handled it so well , she was very sweet

This is probably one of the cutest restaurants I have ever been too. It's looks like Chip and Jojo designed it. With that being said, the food was mediocre. My husband got a burger with no bun and a side salad and it was average. I got the jalapeño chicken salad, and it lacked chicken and jalapeño. I wish it had more on it for the cost.

Located at the corner of 15th and L. Parking is street parking or local garages. There may be a paid parking lot out back. We had lunch here Tuesday at Noon. We had reservations for 7. The hostess seated us quickly at a booth with 2 chairs on the outside. The booth was big enough so no one felt squished. I would have rather been at a table so we didn't have to slide in. It was nice being on the edge of the restaurant so there was less noise and we could easily talk. Service started out fast. We were seated and immediately served water and asked if we wanted drinks. Then it took forever for our server to take our order. Once our orders were in the service to get our food was quick. He did refill our drinks at an appropriate time and was quick we didn't have to flag him down for that. He was nice and split our check so we could all pay with card. I thought that was better. It ensured that everyone paid their share and left a generous tip. I would recommend this place for groups. Everyone walking in didn't have reservations, but I suggest with a large group that you make reservations.

My sister's and I came here for a dinner on a Tuesday night and business wasn't too hectic. Our server Adam was very attentive and delivered great service! Food was flavorful and came out very quick! The environment is perfect for a date with the dim lights and comfortable atmosphere.

Great restaurant, we were walking around Sacramento near the State Capital and decided to stop here for brunch. We were in Sac for Easter holiday visiting family. My wife and I own a fresh seafood restaurant in Ocean Grove, so we know when a restaurant is good. Our server (Leandro) was very informative and professional. The food we ordered was excellent and the portion size was more than enough. We sat outside it was a pleasurable experience. We will definitely come back to the Cafeteria 15L restaurant next visit to Sacramento! Thanks, Chuck C.

Walked in I was greeted right away. Sat on the patio. Waitress was very friendly. My food came out at a reasonable time and the presentation was lovely! It tasted even better. My friends I was with liked their food as well. Lemon Drop martini from the bar was delicious ( had a taste of my friends) very satisfied with what we ordered and liked their menu choices too. Definitely will be back!

Good food, gorgeous setting. The bathroom is an interesting experience (a trippy mirror-room-esque situation uniting the men's and women's hand-washing areas). I came for lunch but I can imagine this being a lovely brunch location.
