They say they open at 7am, but they’re never there on time. It’s pretty frustrating to go there for breakfast and coffee before work and nobody is there. The breakfast burritos are really good and huge.

Located on the 6th floor. Cute little cafeteria with a big kitchen. I ordered the special of the day, teriyaki chicken with rice and vegetables for $8.50. It was good. They also serve pizza and salad.

I didn't know this place existed despite working downtown for more than 5 years. How would I know that it was on the sixth floor of a building if there is no sign outside saying there's a cafe? The food is kind of pricey but the breakfast burrito I ordered was an okay size and had a lot of stuff packed inside it. It was spicy and had a lot of flavor, but it was very greasy and was dripping with oil. How much oil did they use to make this? Also it wouldn't take long but they could have wrapped the burrito in a paper towel to get most of the oil out. The cook was very friendly but the cashier lady was kind of rude and unfriendly. If someone else were the cashier and the food wasn't covered in oil I may have had a better experience.

I wish they would change up the menu. Even simple things like burgers and fries! They have the same things week after week and it gets so boring. I know a lot of people come here for the convenience but it is a bit pricey for the food that you get. No sides with anything except for the specials that they have, but again they are always the same things every week. Would love it if they could change things up!

This place is not good. The food is mediocre at best, but way overpriced for the quality. I have been here many times and it never gets any better. Today, I had the special of the day which was pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and potato salad. The pulled pork was ok but it was almost like it had been sitting out for a while. The potato salad tasted like it should really be called onion salad. The one thing I really enjoy from here is their chicken pasilla soup. It is delicious and the chunks of meat are a pleasant treat. They also sell these brownies there that I don't really see at my local grocery store. The staff here are not friendly to me at all. They seem really mad that I was there, and it wasn't even busy. The lady that took my money didn't even look at me. I notice the guy that brings the food is very flirty with the women, but when I come up I don't even get a smile. The only reason I have been here so many times is because it's located in the building I work in. I feel like they know people who work there will go, so they don't need to put in their best effort and they will still make sales. I mostly wish they had a different coffee vendor here other than Peet's, but that's just personal preference.

I'm a regular at Capitol Cafe because they're food is always fresh and delicious and their prices are very fair! They have an assortment of breakfast items and sandwiches but what really stands out are their lunch specials which range from Chicken Parmesan pasta on Mondays to Taco Tuesdays, etc and their cooked-to-order pizzas. Something I love seeing each morning is this pile of bacon they have near the counter. One day I asked what the bacon is for and they let me in on a secret - it's for the BLTs! I ordered a BLT yesterday and it had to be the best BLT I ever had! Crunch bacon, fresh sliced tomato, butter lettuce, and mayo on 7 grain sliced bread is the only way to go!!

The older Asian woman is very rude. She never smiles always has a bad attitude. Never smiles and always gives bad customer service. I refuse to support this business due to her. Always gives me bad customer service experience here....every time I try and go and give her another chance I leave disappointed with her customer service.

just had lunch here and give accolades to the new chef. Very satisfying and prices not bad. The Chef and the server were friendly and very professional. What a big change. I came here about six months ago and was not going to return until someone told me the place has improved with this new chef. I will be back to try the rest of your menu! Thank you!!!

Love the new menu! Breakfast was great! The recent change has really made this a great stop for breakfast. I have not tried lunch, but it looks pretty good. They always have additional snacks to go as well.
