Breakfast is only served to 10:30. We arrived at 11 and they agreed to make an egg breakfast sandwich but I think that was stretching it because she said they were "very busy right now". But the place was almost empty so I strained to keep an understanding expression. (:-) I didn't add $4 chicken to my salad so it was just under $18 for the salad and sandwich. The location is tucked into the corner of a government building. Parking is across the street.

Chef Derek and his staff catered my daughter's quinceanera in Merced CA. His attention to detail was impecable. I shared my vision of the elevated menu options I wanted and he executed everything flawlessly. In this edition of downtown stateworker brunch / lunch time, we have a hidden gem named Casablanca Cafe. They specialize in breakfast and lunch and can be a tad bit hard to find due to doing double duty as a Cafe for a state agency, a catering entity and a restaurant that serves yummy food. Quick ratings: Sausage breakfast burrito 5 stars out of 5; it was so good I could have ate 2 if my stomach permitted. The star of this show was the farm fresh omelet which scored 100 stars out of 5. Sacramento is the farm to fork capitol and this holds up that reputation.

We hired Casablanca Cafe for our wedding and I am so glad we did. From the second we met Cher and Derrick they made us feel special. They went above and beyond for us. We ended up hiring Cher for our florals and omg!! She executed our vision to a T!! Everything was stunning and my guests begging me to take the arrangements home after the wedding. Overall, I couldn't have imagined not having this team planning with us for the wedding. Cher is a boss of a woman and helped me through the crazy process of wedding planning!Food was amazing, staff was professional and we are thankful to have found them!

Today's special was the tri-tip burger and it was delicious! One of the best burgers I've had with a delicious side of garlic fries. Very friendly staff and clean environment.
