So Disappointed from the 1st encounter. 1st night we came in about and before close he said they were done cooking For the night and only had a couple things that happen to be cold. My husband and I are from Chicago and Indiana but recently moved here from Louisiana. Not knowing the neighborhood we were already disappointed about not seeing soul food places But finally one pops up and it's Black Owned which made us want to support even more considering the neighborhood.. Well we don't feel they are supportive of any of the ppl in the neighborhood you've moved into. I recently tried to order just chicken because I wasn't to fond of their sides. And yes I've cooked for over 20 years and currently building our food truck which is in process to help feed the neighborhood with prices affordable. Which means we actually do the work to find the right companies that will work with us considering all with economy. Not hiking the price of 3 bland oxtails and a bunch of dry rice for 35.00 bucks and say it's because the store charged you so you will charge us Smh.. Lucky I wasn't there to stop my husband from buying two dinner a dry salmon and oxtails for 65 bucks liked I stopped myself from you trying to force me to buy sides when all asked for was chicken. And was willing to pay the same price but was thrown a comment of next time you come it'll have to be a whole dinner because you don't sell meat separate . Ok we'll never again and definitely recommend due to attitude. And barbeque does not mean dump it in Luke warm barbeque sauce.. You have a top notch grill use it.. hope you're delivering food to some of the elderly that can't get to you in that cart riding around in wasting gas time and energy that is added to price of you food. Smh Dang it My Own.

This was our first time we're from the Bay Area we came to work out here for a job. My husband googled this place it was solicitous. I got steamed crab and Mac n cheese and fries and lemonade it was sooooooo gooood. My husband got my ribs rice and beans. The customer service was on point very welcoming and they kept checking I. Us and they explained the menu with patience. Family oriented very clean. The owner was very nice we needed something and went above and beyond to help us. We know when we come down here this is the go to place hands down. Come come here they are nice place if you want to feel like family. 10 stars if I could

This was my First time And I must say Oh my Goodness the food was amazing I had a Three way plate everything was nice and hot and very tasty Everything melted in my mouth from the yams to the cornbread the staff was very Professional and polite I most definitely will be Back Thank you so much

First of all, EVERYONE that works there are so pleasant and kind, especially Frances and K. They show what quality service should be. Thank you. The menu is awesome and the good is great! So hard to find quality Soul Food. They do you up right!

The customer service here is amazing and hopefully this restaurant will be great. We ordered the oxtails and the 3 meat combo. I know food price has risen for us all and I get it. I personally would pay more than almost $30 for my oxtail to receive a full order. The oxtails are served in a smaller container than the other food and you receive bare minimum. I would advise to just remove it off the menu or go up on the price to make full orders. It's frustrating paying this much and getting little to nothing. The 3 way meat was good but definitely please add more cheese/sauce to the Mac n cheese. We'll try them again in the future hopefully.

I said substitute two fries and a side of fried okra. We instead got two potato salads and no okra. The red beans and rice was ok aside from the occasional crunch and the potato salad was alright. The grilled snapper was pretty good, nice flavors. Overall, I probably won't come back. Or at least I won't order delivery.

Don't even read the bad comments if there is some. BECAUSE THEY IS BOMB PERIODT!!!!!! food is HOT and good taste just like black folks know how to cook. Everyone is amazing there, they even give you kool-aid THE BOMB OK. Mines don't even taste like that at home. I'll be back. Y'all go support these people they reopen since Covid. Restaurant is beautiful just like the people there. Look like they even be having musical events i think. ANYWAY CHECK IT OUT

Omg!!! This food was delicious!! Me and my husband wanted to try a different place to eat so we pulled up to Colo's. Not only is it amazingly black owned, it's clean inside and the owners are actually the cooks! Man, that food was so bomb and the price was surprisingly reasonable with such good quality. Try this place y'all!!!

We stopped here for an early lunch/brunch around 10:30, and were the only ones there. They were serving breakfast and lunch, and were super accommodating given that we were ordering lunch mid morning. The fried catfish was AMAZING and since we were the only one's there, the cook made smothered pork chops for my friend, and they were so good. She got it with a side of fried okra and she was RAVING about it-- they were lovely and crispy and the texture was perfect. I also asked for water, and she gave me a cucumber refresher which was a) very nice of her and b) delicious. 10000 out of 10, the food is amazing and so are the people!
