Weekend menu is limited but you can order a few classics off-menu (e.g. Caesar salad). Portions are generous. Service is fast and friendly. Great spot if you're craving something decadent and savory- think gourmet burgers and the like. Plenty of indoor seating and more on the back patio, but parking lot is tiny and shared with Freeport bakery and Marie's Donuts

Finally got to try this place out! I've been to Dad's Kitchen, but have been wanting to try Dad's sandwiches and it did not disappoint. I got the Tijuana Tuna sandwich and my bf got the Turkey Club. This was one of the best hot sandwiches I've ever eaten! The melted cheese, tomatoes, and I believe pickled jalapeños (?) complimented the tuna salad well. And the sourdough bread was grilled just right. The turkey club also looked great filled with plenty of turkey meat and mayo so it didn't look dry at all. The sandos also come with chips. We went around 1:15pm or so on a Sunday, it was about a 25 min wait for our sandwiches. The one downside is their seating is pretty limited, so don't expect to have a comfortable dining experience. I'd still come back since their sandos are worth it! Can't wait to try others.

I wanted to like it, but I just didn't. Service was good, food wasn't. Over charged..................................

What happened to this place? New owners? Menu has changed. No more vegetarian burger or options. Lame. I truly hate menu changes especially when old reliable options dissapear. The beer menu was scant as well. Also it should be noted that a $1.50 "check out fee" was added to our bill. What is that? Credit card fee?? Will not be returning any time soon.

Okay, so we stopped here because of how everyone raved about the food on the reviews. We ordered the Mac n cheese appetizer.. it LACKED FLAVOR. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich because it was deemed the favorite . It was a burnt breaded chicken breast with NO flavor. And the fries where warm and stiff not even hot. I am so sad I spent money here. The staff and atmosphere is great but if you're reading this please check on your line cooks. I won't be returning sorry.

The dad's burger is the best burger I've ever had in my life, perfect amount of blue cheese and bacon was incredible with that sauce just a little bit of spice to it was amazing.

I used to love Dad’s, but recently went here and waited 45 min for food. All of us were really hungry but after checking 2x we were told first that the printer ran out of ink, and later that they were still working on it. We finally just left without any food. It didn’t seem like anyone cared.

Been a fan of Dads for a long time but this is not the old Dads. Must have turned over. Husband and I waited at least 40 minutes for a Dads Burger and Drunken Chicken sandwich. We did manage to get a drink order placed which took awhile to be delivered. New hours and nobody to speak of eating should have been a tip off. Also the regrettable lack of a good beer menu. Never got our wages refilled, had to ask for our check, no apologies for the horrible service and wait and we were the only table. At least the Dads Burger was good because otherwise this was a total waste of money and time. Hoping this saves some people the effort if you haven't been to the new Dads these days. Don't bother and we will certainly never go again. We left no tip for the awful service. What a shame this was one our go to places. All of the attentive and wonderful staff were also gone. I'm only giving one star because I can't give less.

Dad's is a quintessential Sacramento restaurant. The dad's burger is a classic burger that will not leave you hungry. If you enjoy good gourmet burgers and a good homey vibe, this is the place for you.

Great place! Decided to have an impromptu lunch date with the wife and decided it was finally time to check out Dad's Kitchen. Lots of great places to eat along this stretch of road and Dad's fits right in. There was an initially wait but we were getting in a just a bit before they closed before the afternoon. Staff was great and offered seats outside or inside. It was raining so we opted to stay inside but it looked like they did have a covered patio in the back. Food wise, we picked up the Hot Blonde and the French Dip. Both really great solid choices. The Hot Blonde wasn't what I expected but was still a good choice. French Dip is exactly what you expect and if you love French Dips that I highly recommend you give this a try. The crunchy onions were great and dip tied it all together. Only issue was the fries which I would probably pass on next time. One final thing, water. Sometimes when you grab water at a place like this it can taste off. No issues here with that and its a small but a big thing in my mind for how clean a kitchen is. Definitely a place to visit again!

Went there with my kid. The service was subpar and the food was ok. They were out of half the kids meal options and the soda was flat..... restaurant rescue time! Someone send out the bat signal!

I didn't realize there is more than one location and this is definitely NOT it! From the jump it was NOT a good dining experience. First we were seated in the patio, we were not asked if we wanted to be seated inside. We were seated, it was loud like a sports bar. The table where we sat was up against the landscaping, which was fine. But there was a couple that had a lil girl and another couple that had a lil boy they were running around everywhere in the patio. At one time they were in the landscaping picking up rocks and throwing them. Running around while the parents just laughed and carried on with their conversations and CLEARLY not watching their kids. The server waited another 15-20 min just to bring us our menus, we ordered something for my hubby and she said that the sandwich was not available at that time because it was only items on their "Brunch" menu. So we had to pick him another sandwich, we ordered Onion rings as an appetizer, I ordered my food. The waitress never asked us if we wanted something to drink.....we had air for her to come back and asked her to take our drink order. We got our drinks the waitress never came to refill our sodas. Food was average and the bill was over $60...we did NOT leave a tip. We will not be returning nor recommend this place at all.

Nice vibe, friendly staff, and good beer options. Also enjoyed the pinball. Vegans and vegetarians take note: they no longer have beyond burgers. I came here thinking they would because of the photos on Google, but they have since removed them.
